Romans 5:1-2

James 1
Salutation

Faith and Wisdom

develops patience.

James 1:1
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
written around AD 44-49 making it the earliest book written in the New
Testament canon.
Who is James / Jacob?
brother of Jesus and disciple.
Matthew 1:24-25
24 Then Joseph, being awakened from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord
had commanded him, and remained with his wife,
25 (Mt 1:21; Lk 2:7) and did not know her until she had given birth
to her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS.

In Acts 12 , Acts 15 & Galatians 1-2 , James ended up being a major leader
in the church of Jerusalem, the 1st Christian Community.
Jessu doesn't try and use his kinship with Jesus to promote his book , Seeing
Jesus alive.
James qualifies himself as a servant of God.
James put Jesus on an equal plane as God.
James was martyredin 62 AD when he was thrown from the Temple wall and beaten
to death while he was peraying for the men killing him.
The book of James summarises a group of themes that are meant for any and
every community of messianic Jews, or rather, Jewish Christians.
James 1:1b: To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings.
These were Christian Jews at the time.
2 major issues facing the church at the time
A) Severe famine which affected commerce and led to national poverty
B) Christian JEws were facing extreme persecution from both Jewish and Roman
leaders. REfer to Acts 8
2 (Jas 1:12) My brothers, count it all joy
when you fall into diverse temptations,
[2] My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
During this Time, Christian JEws have been murdered, tortured, chased from
their homes, beaten, arrested, and lost dear loved ones.
a) James is not asking his readers to enjoy their trials, because we should
not be joyfyful about things like injustice, tragedy, disease, famine or war.
b) James is not saying the word "joy" means being happy all the time.
Instead, while happiness is reactionary, joy transcends our circumstances.
God wants to make you Holy, and that's where real joy is experienced.
Hebrews 5:7
7 (Mt 27:46; 27:50)In the days of His flesh, Jesus offered up prayers
and supplications with loud cries and tears to Him who was able to save
Him from death. He was heard because of His godly fear

2 Cor 6:10a
10 (Jn 16:22; 2Co 8:9) as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing

Our Joy as Christians, our rejoicing is not determined by
or dependent upon our circumstances.
We are able to rejoice always becayse out joy is in christ, and in the things
that surpass this life.
Our ability to "Consider it pure joy" is not dependent upon happy
circumstances or experiences because is deeper than happiness.
This instruction is based on having eternity in perspective.

Zech 13:9
9 (Ps 50:15; Isa 48:10) And I will bring this one-third left into the fire,
and will refine them as the refinement of silver,
and will test them as the testing of gold.
They will call on My name,
and I will answer them.
I will say, "They are My people";
and they will say, "The Lord is my God."

as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call

Psalm 66:10
10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) For You, O God, have proved us;
You have refined us, as silver is refined.

The melting point of silver is 900 degrees C.
And so what happens is the silver melts and the impurities, the iron, the
other elements that aren't pure silver - rise to the surface.
The silversmith will scoop them off. Then they would pour the molten silver
into the water to cool it down, stick it back in the curcible, and start
the process over again.
So the idea of these tirals in our lives testing us, purifying us,
is scary and beautiful. We need to be refined and tested over and over again
so that we can reflect God more and more.
Consider it pure joy, my brithers and sisters, whenever you face trials
of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces
perserverance.
It's being joyful when your faith is tested because there's an assurance
that it produces preseverance in you.
Patience continuance.
4 (Mt 5:48; Lk 21:19) But let patience perfect its work,
that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

entire, wanting nothing
Hebrew 12:1

We're not joyful solely because trials that test our faith create
perseverance, but also because that perseverance works us out to be mature
and complete.

Judgment on the Nations

and His fury upon all their armies;
He has utterly destroyed them,

Isaiah 35
The Future Glory of Zion
1 (Isa 51:3; 55:12-13) The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad,
and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;
2 (Isa 60:13; 25:9) it shall blossom abundantly
and rejoice even with joy and singing.
The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
the excellency of Carmel and Sharon.
They shall see the glory of the Lord
and the excellency of our God.
3 (Heb 12:12; Job 4:3-4) Strengthen the weak hands,
and support the feeble knees.
4 Isa 34:8; 28:16 Say to those who are of a fearful heart,
"Be strong, fear not.
Your God will come
with vengeance,
even God with a recompense;
He will come and save you."
5 (Isa 29:18; 32:3-4) Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Micah 2
Woe to the Wicked
1 (Ps 36:4; Ge 31:29) Woe to those who conceive wickedness,
to those who devise evil on their beds!
At morning's light they execute it,
because it is in the power of their hand.
2 (Isa 5:8; Am 8:4) They covet fields and seize them,
and houses and take them.
They defraud a man of his house,
and a fellow man of his inheritance.
3 (Isa 2:11-12; Jer 8:3) Therefore, thus says the Lord:
I am devising disaster against this family,
from which you cannot remove your necks;
and you will not walk haughtily,
for it will be a time of calamity.
4 (Hab 2:6; Nu 23:7) In that day they will take up a taunt against you,
and they will wail a wailing lament, and say:
"We are totally ruined!
He diminishes the portion of my people;
how He removes it from me!
To a traitor He reassigns our fields!"
5 (Dt 32:8; Jos 18:4) Therefore you will not have anyone
to apportion the land by lot
in the assembly of the Lord.
Prophets of Deceit
6 (Am 2:12; Isa 30:10) "Do not prophesy," they say.
"One should not prophesy about these things.
Disgrace will not overtake us."
7 (Ps 15:2; 84:11) Should it be said, O house of Jacob,
"Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient?
Are these His deeds?"
Do not My words benefit
him who walks uprightly?
8 (Ps 120:6-7) But lately My people rise up
like an enemy.
You strip off the rich robe
from those who pass by trustingly,
like men returning from war.
9 (Eze 39:21; Hab 2:14) The women of My people you drive out
from their delightful homes;
from their children
you take My adornment forever.
10 (Dt 12:9; Ps 106:38) Get up and go,
for this is not the resting place,
because uncleanness ruins,
and ruin sickens.
11 (Jer 5:31; Isa 30:10-11) If a man, going about vapidly and deceitfully,
lies, "I will preach for you wine and beer,"
he would be just the preacher for this people.
The Restoration of Israel
12 (Mic 4:6-7) I will indeed assemble Jacob-all of you;
I will indeed gather the remnant of Israel.
I will place them together like sheep in a fold,
like a herd in its pasture-
thronging with people.
13 (Isa 52:12) He who breaks through has gone up before them;
they will break through and pass the gate and go out by it.
Then their king will pass on before them,
the Lord at their head.
Micah 2

[2] And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take
them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his
heritage.
[3] Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise
an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go
haughtily: for this time is evil.
[4] In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a
doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the
portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath
divided our fields.
[5] Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the
congregation of the LORD.
[6] Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not
prophesy
to them, that they shall not take shame.
[7] O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD
straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that
walketh uprightly?
[8] Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe
with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.
[9] The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses;
from
their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.
[10] Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is
polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.
[11] If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will
prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the
prophet
of this people.
[12] I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the
remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the
flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of
the multitude of men.
[13] The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have
passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass
before them, and the LORD on the head of them.
Micah 3
Leaders and Prophets Judged
1 (Ps 82:1-5; Isa 1:10) Then I said:
Listen now, heads of Jacob,
and rulers of the house of Israel.
Should you not know justice?
2 (Ps 53:4; Eze 22:27) You who hate good and love evil,
who tear the skin from My people
and the flesh from their bones;
3 (Ps 14:4; Eze 11:3) you who have eaten the flesh of My people,
and have flayed their skin from them,
and broken their bones in pieces;
who have chopped them up like meat in the pot,
and like flesh in the cauldron.
4 (Isa 1:15; Ps 18:41) Then they will cry out to the Lord,
but He will not answer them;
He will hide His face from them at that time,
because they have wrought evil deeds.
5 (Isa 9:15-16; Jer 14:14-15)Thus says the Lord:
Regarding the prophets
who mislead My people-
the ones who have something to eat
proclaim "Peace,"
but if one does not feed them,
then they prepare for war against him.

and you will have darkness without divination;
the sun will set upon the prophets,
and black upon them will be the day.

and the diviners disgraced,
and they will all cover their beards,
for there is no answer from God.

her priests teach for a price,
and her prophets practice divination for money.
Yet upon the Lord they lean, saying,
"Is not the Lord in our midst?
Evil will not come upon us."

Zion will be plowed like a field,
Jerusalem will be mounds of ruins,
and the mountain of the house will become wooded heights.
Micah 3

them, and their flesh from off their bones;

Micah 4
The Mountain of the Lord
Isa 2:1-4

the mountain of the house of the Lord will be established
as head of the mountains,
and will be lifted up above the hills;
and people will stream to it.

The Promise of Restoration

Micah 5
The Ruler From Bethlehem

although you are small among the tribes of Judah,
from you will come forth for Me
one who will be ruler over Israel.
His origins are from of old,

The Remnant of Jacob Delivered
When Assyria enters our land

with the sword, and the land of Nimrod at her gates;
He will rescue us from Assyria,
when he enters our land
and when he treads within our border.

The Wilderness Years

3 (Dt 1:6) "You have circled this mountain long enough. Now turn north.
4 (Nu 20:14-21; Ex 15:15) Command the people, saying: You are to pass
through the territory of your brothers the children of Esau, who dwell
in Seir, and they shall be afraid of you. So carefully watch yourselves.
5 (Ge 36:8; Jos 24:4) Do not provoke them, for I will not give you any
of their land, no, not so much as a footprint, because I have given
Mount Seir to Esau for a possession.
6 You may buy food from them with money so that you may eat,
and you may also buy water from them with money so that you may drink.

[5] Meddle not with them; for I will not give you of their land, no, not so
much as a foot breadth; because I have given mount Seir unto Esau for a
possession.
[6] Ye shall buy meat of them for money, that ye may eat; and ye shall also
buy water of them for money, that ye may drink.
[7] For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he
knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the
LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.
After taking the pieces for my special-order table from the box and laying
them out before me, I noticed something wasn't quite right. The beautiful
top for the table and other parts were accounted for, but it was missing
one of the legs. Without all of the legs, I couldn't assemble the table,
rendering it useless.
You might start your journey in the southwest United States in a dusty town
called Why, Arizona. Heading cross-country would take you through Uncertain,
Texas. Bearing northeast, you'd make a rest stop in Dismal, Tennessee.
Ultimately, you’d reach your destination-Panic, Pennsylvania. These are real
places across the landscape of America, though not likely a trip you'd ever
choose to take.
Sometimes this is exactly what the journey of life feels like. We easily
identify with the Israelites' tough life in the wilderness (Deuteronomy 2:7)
-life can be hard. But do we see the other parallels? We create our own
itinerary, turning from God's way (1:42-43). Like the Israelites, we often
grumble about getting our needs met (Numbers 14:2). In our daily fretting,
we likewise doubt God's purposes (v. 11). The story of the Israelites
is repeated over and over in our own.
God assures us that if we follow His path, He'll deliver us into a far
better place than Dismal. He'll provide and we'll lack nothing we really need
(Deuteronomy 2:7; Philippians 4:19). Yet as much as we already know this,
e often fail to do it. We need to follow God's roadmap.
It's a bit more of a drive, but another six hours by car would take you
from the town of Panic to the place known as Assurance, West Virginia.
If we let God direct our paths (Psalm 119:35), we'll journey in joy with Him
at the wheel-blessed assurance indeed!

Teena, a college freshman, has just committed her life to Christ,
but she was apprehensive about telling anyone - until Bill appeared
on the scene. He plunked his coffee cup down on the table and smiled.
"I heard something exciting happened to you yesterday, Teena"
"Yeah", Teena paused and looked around, as if seeking an escape route.
"I , uh, well, I did it"
"Did what?"
"Well, I, ah, gave my life to God."
"That's wonderful!" Bill exclaimed.
He was still talking with Teena and encouraging he in her decision
when Maria walked by.
"Maria!" Bill called. "Teena wants to tell you something!"
Teena gasped , open-mouthed, then stammered,
" I - I committed my life to Christ."
Maria , similarly enthuasiatic, encouraged Teena in her commitment,
and within half an hour Teena was stopping her friends to tell them,
"Guess what? I've become a Christian! I belng to Jesus now!"
Teena had already surrendered her heart to Christ.
But when she confessed her decision aloud to others,
the truth of that transformation was confirmed by her.
Many of us have been raised to believe that 'faith is a private matter',
not to be discussed in polite company. Yet Paul makes clear the connection
between heart commitment and verbal confession. Just as my love for family
and friends deepens as I tell them I love them, so a person's love
for Christ is confirmed and stabilised by speaking of that commitment to others.
Application

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

James qualifies himself as a servant of God.
James put Jesus on an equal plane as God.
James was martyredin 62 AD when he was thrown from the Temple wall and beaten
to death while he was peraying for the men killing him.
The book of James summarises a group of themes that are meant for any and
every community of messianic Jews, or rather, Jewish Christians.
James 1:1b: To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings.
These were Christian Jews at the time.
2 major issues facing the church at the time
A) Severe famine which affected commerce and led to national poverty
B) Christian JEws were facing extreme persecution from both Jewish and Roman
leaders. REfer to Acts 8
2 (Jas 1:12) My brothers, count it all joy
when you fall into diverse temptations,
[2] My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
During this Time, Christian JEws have been murdered, tortured, chased from
their homes, beaten, arrested, and lost dear loved ones.
a) James is not asking his readers to enjoy their trials, because we should
not be joyfyful about things like injustice, tragedy, disease, famine or war.
b) James is not saying the word "joy" means being happy all the time.
Instead, while happiness is reactionary, joy transcends our circumstances.
God wants to make you Holy, and that's where real joy is experienced.
Hebrews 5:7
7 (Mt 27:46; 27:50)In the days of His flesh, Jesus offered up prayers
and supplications with loud cries and tears to Him who was able to save
Him from death. He was heard because of His godly fear

Our Joy as Christians, our rejoicing is not determined by
or dependent upon our circumstances.
We are able to rejoice always becayse out joy is in christ, and in the things
that surpass this life.
Our ability to "Consider it pure joy" is not dependent upon happy
circumstances or experiences because is deeper than happiness.
This instruction is based on having eternity in perspective.

The melting point of silver is 900 degrees C.
And so what happens is the silver melts and the impurities, the iron, the
other elements that aren't pure silver - rise to the surface.
The silversmith will scoop them off. Then they would pour the molten silver
into the water to cool it down, stick it back in the curcible, and start
the process over again.
So the idea of these tirals in our lives testing us, purifying us,
is scary and beautiful. We need to be refined and tested over and over again
so that we can reflect God more and more.
Consider it pure joy, my brithers and sisters, whenever you face trials
of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces
perserverance.
It's being joyful when your faith is tested because there's an assurance
that it produces preseverance in you.
Patience continuance.

Leaders and Prophets Judged

Micah 4
The Mountain of the Lord
Isa 2:1-4
1 (Ps 22:27; 86:9) Then it will be that in the latter days,
the mountain of the house of the Lord will be established
as head of the mountains,
and will be lifted up above the hills;
and people will stream to it.
2 (Ps 25:8-9; Isa 54:13) And many nations will come and say,
"Come, that we might go up to the mountain of the Lord,
and to the house of the God of Jacob,
that He might teach us His ways,
and that we might walk in His paths."
For from Zion will go forth the law,

The Promise of Restoration

Micah 5
The Ruler From Bethlehem
1 (La 3:30; Job 16:10) Now gather yourself in troops, O daughter of troops;
he has laid siege against us.
With a rod they will strike
the judge of Israel on the cheek.
2 (Zec 9:9; Mt 2:6) But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
although you are small among the tribes of Judah,
from you will come forth for Me
one who will be ruler over Israel.
His origins are from of old,
from ancient days.
3 (Isa 10:20-21; Hos 11:8) Therefore He will give them up,
until the time when she who is in labor has given birth,
and the rest of his brothers will return
to the children of Israel.

until the ends of the earth;

The Remnant of Jacob Delivered
When Assyria enters our land
and treads through our palaces,
then we will raise up against him seven shepherds
and eight commanders of men.
6 (Ge 10:8-11; Isa 14:25) They will shepherd the land of Assyria
with the sword, and the land of Nimrod at her gates;
He will rescue us from Assyria,
when he enters our land
and when he treads within our border.
7 (Mic 5:3; Dt 32:2) Then the remnant of Jacob will be
in the midst of many peoples,
like dew from the Lord,
like showers upon the grass,
which do not wait for a man
and do not linger for the sons of men.

like a young lion among flocks of sheep,
which when it passes through, tramples and mauls,

The Wilderness Years

by the way of the Red Sea, as the Lord spoke to me, and we circled

2 Then the Lord spoke to me, saying,
3 (Dt 1:6) "You have circled this mountain long enough. Now turn north.
4 (Nu 20:14-21; Ex 15:15) Command the people, saying: You are to pass
through the territory of your brothers the children of Esau, who dwell
in Seir, and they shall be afraid of you. So carefully watch yourselves.
5 (Ge 36:8; Jos 24:4) Do not provoke them, for I will not give you any
of their land, no, not so much as a footprint, because I have given
Mount Seir to Esau for a possession.
6 You may buy food from them with money so that you may eat,
and you may also buy water from them with money so that you may drink.
7 (Dt 8:2-4; Job 23:10) "For the Lord your God has blessed you in all
the works of your hands. He knows your wanderings through this

[4] And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of
your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be
afraid of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:
[5] Meddle not with them; for I will not give you of their land, no, not so
much as a foot breadth; because I have given mount Seir unto Esau for a
possession.
[6] Ye shall buy meat of them for money, that ye may eat; and ye shall also
buy water of them for money, that ye may drink.
[7] For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he
knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the
LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.
After taking the pieces for my special-order table from the box and laying
them out before me, I noticed something wasn't quite right. The beautiful
top for the table and other parts were accounted for, but it was missing
one of the legs. Without all of the legs, I couldn't assemble the table,
rendering it useless.
You might start your journey in the southwest United States in a dusty town
called Why, Arizona. Heading cross-country would take you through Uncertain,
Texas. Bearing northeast, you'd make a rest stop in Dismal, Tennessee.
Ultimately, you’d reach your destination-Panic, Pennsylvania. These are real
places across the landscape of America, though not likely a trip you'd ever
choose to take.
Sometimes this is exactly what the journey of life feels like. We easily
identify with the Israelites' tough life in the wilderness (Deuteronomy 2:7)
-life can be hard. But do we see the other parallels? We create our own
itinerary, turning from God's way (1:42-43). Like the Israelites, we often
grumble about getting our needs met (Numbers 14:2). In our daily fretting,
we likewise doubt God's purposes (v. 11). The story of the Israelites
is repeated over and over in our own.
God assures us that if we follow His path, He'll deliver us into a far
better place than Dismal. He'll provide and we'll lack nothing we really need
(Deuteronomy 2:7; Philippians 4:19). Yet as much as we already know this,
e often fail to do it. We need to follow God's roadmap.
It's a bit more of a drive, but another six hours by car would take you
from the town of Panic to the place known as Assurance, West Virginia.
If we let God direct our paths (Psalm 119:35), we'll journey in joy with Him
at the wheel-blessed assurance indeed!

Teena, a college freshman, has just committed her life to Christ,
but she was apprehensive about telling anyone - until Bill appeared
on the scene. He plunked his coffee cup down on the table and smiled.
"I heard something exciting happened to you yesterday, Teena"
"Yeah", Teena paused and looked around, as if seeking an escape route.
"I , uh, well, I did it"
"Did what?"
"Well, I, ah, gave my life to God."
"That's wonderful!" Bill exclaimed.
He was still talking with Teena and encouraging he in her decision
when Maria walked by.
"Maria!" Bill called. "Teena wants to tell you something!"
Teena gasped , open-mouthed, then stammered,
" I - I committed my life to Christ."
Maria , similarly enthuasiatic, encouraged Teena in her commitment,
and within half an hour Teena was stopping her friends to tell them,
"Guess what? I've become a Christian! I belng to Jesus now!"
Teena had already surrendered her heart to Christ.
But when she confessed her decision aloud to others,
the truth of that transformation was confirmed by her.
Many of us have been raised to believe that 'faith is a private matter',
not to be discussed in polite company. Yet Paul makes clear the connection
between heart commitment and verbal confession. Just as my love for family
and friends deepens as I tell them I love them, so a person's love
for Christ is confirmed and stabilised by speaking of that commitment to others.
Application

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

"My name is Kam. I'm 29 years of age, and I grew up Sikh. As a teenager,
I struggled with depression, brokenness, and addiction to
cannabis. I didn't know how to stop or how to get help.

that God's Spirit would influence
