Psalms 115
Ps 135:15–20
1 Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto Your name give glory,
for the sake of Your mercy, and for the sake of Your truth.
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Why should the nations say,
"Where now is their God?"
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) But our God is in the heavens;
He does whatever He pleases.

Romans 12:3-8

to everyone among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought
to think, but to think with sound judgment, according to the measure
of faith God has distributed to every man.
4 (1Co 12:12-14) For just as we have many parts in one body,
and not all parts have the same function,
5 (1Co 10:17; 12:20) so we, being many, are one body in Christ,
and all are parts of one another.
6 (Ac 13:1; 1Co 13:2) We have diverse gifts according to the grace
that is given to us: if prophecy, according to the proportion of faith;
7 (Ac 13:1; Eph 4:11) if service, in serving; he who teaches, in teaching;

with generosity; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy,

[6] Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,
whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

[8] Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with
simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with
cheerfulness.
Together, friends Melanie and Trevor have hiked miles of mountain trails. Yet
neither would be able to do so without the other. Melanie, born with spina
bifida, uses a wheelchair. Trevor lost his sight to glaucoma. The duo realized
they were one another's perfect complement for enjoying the Colorado
wilderness: As he walks the trails, Trevor carries Melanie on his back;
meanwhile, she gives him verbal directions.
They describe themselves as a "dream team."
Paul describes believers in Jesus-the body of Christ-as a similar kind of
"dream team." He urged the Romans to recognize how their individual giftings
benefited the larger group. Just as our physical bodies are made up of many
parts, each with different functions, together we "form one [spiritual] body"
and our gifts are meant to be given in service for the collective benefit of
the church (Romans 12:5). Whether in the form of giving, encouraging, or
teaching, or any of the other spiritual gifts, Paul instructs us to view
ourselves and our gifts as belonging to all the others (vv. 5-8).
Melanie and Trevor aren't focused on what they lack, nor are they prideful of
what they do have in comparison to the other. Rather, they cheerfully give of
their "gifts" in service to the other, recognizing how much they're both
bettered by their collaboration. May we too freely combine the gifts God
has given us with those of our fellow members-for the sake of Christ.

Rom 8:1-2
Life in the Spirit
1 (1Co 1:30; 2Co 5:17) There is therefore now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
2 (1Co 15:45; Ro 6:18; Jn 8:32) For the law of the Spirit of life
in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.
The Spirit of God Within You
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free
from the law of sin and death.
In the classic movie, I want to live! actress Susan Hayward
plays a woman convicted of murder and sentenced to be executed.
The suspense builds; the execution is delayed as the officials
wait for a word of pardon. Finally, the woman in executed;
the call comes, and the pardon has been granted, but it is too late.
When no pardon is granted, condemnation leads to death. Our sin
marks us as "guilty" before God, and we deserve the wages of sin,
which is death. But in Jesus Christ, the pardon does come - and
it comes in time. Our sin deserves condemnation by God, and yet
he forgives us because Christ paid the penalty for us,
But we face other kinds of condemnation as well - self-condemnation,
that internal accusation that we still, somehow, must pay the price
of our own sin. Others often condemn us as well, offering much less
forgiveness and mercy than God does. And the Enemy of our souls condemns
us, trying to convince us that we don't, after all, have real freedom
from sin.
Yet Paul tells us in Romans 8, "There is therefore now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus". God has forgiven us freely; he has
granted his pardon. And in light of his forgiveness, how can we live
under the condemnation of others - or even of ourselves?
We are free, Paul says - free from the "law of sin and death,"
free to live in the liberty of the Spirit. The stay of execution
has come: the pardon has been granted. Never again can we tried
for the same crimes: never again must we live under the burden
of condemnation.
Application
a) Have I ever lived under the burden of condemnation from myself
or others? Why?
b) How can Romans 8:1-2 help me live in freedom of such condemnation?

to our shores. Where do they live? How can we prayfor these areas? Use this as

also been adjusted by +40% as reliable sources state that on 60% of Muslims

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

Conclusion:
Pray to the Lord and and give Him a praise of Thanksgiving.

and know that it is complete in Him.

Pray for Muslims in Canada to know Jesus as Saviour.
Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective
discipleship movements among Muslim people.

Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."

the day for God's unfailing love, Mercy, compassion,

will continue despite instability in parts of the country.
Pray to the Lord that to know the Holy Spirit.

Together, friends Melanie and Trevor have hiked miles of mountain trails. Yet
neither would be able to do so without the other. Melanie, born with spina
bifida, uses a wheelchair. Trevor lost his sight to glaucoma. The duo realized
they were one another's perfect complement for enjoying the Colorado
wilderness: As he walks the trails, Trevor carries Melanie on his back;
meanwhile, she gives him verbal directions.
They describe themselves as a "dream team."
Paul describes believers in Jesus-the body of Christ-as a similar kind of
"dream team." He urged the Romans to recognize how their individual giftings
benefited the larger group. Just as our physical bodies are made up of many
parts, each with different functions, together we "form one [spiritual] body"
and our gifts are meant to be given in service for the collective benefit of
the church (Romans 12:5). Whether in the form of giving, encouraging, or
teaching, or any of the other spiritual gifts, Paul instructs us to view
ourselves and our gifts as belonging to all the others (vv. 5-8).
Melanie and Trevor aren't focused on what they lack, nor are they prideful of
what they do have in comparison to the other. Rather, they cheerfully give of
their "gifts" in service to the other, recognizing how much they're both
bettered by their collaboration. May we too freely combine the gifts God
has given us with those of our fellow members-for the sake of Christ.

Rom 8:1-2
Life in the Spirit
1 (1Co 1:30; 2Co 5:17) There is therefore now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
2 (1Co 15:45; Ro 6:18; Jn 8:32) For the law of the Spirit of life
in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.
The Spirit of God Within You
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free
from the law of sin and death.
In the classic movie, I want to live! actress Susan Hayward
plays a woman convicted of murder and sentenced to be executed.
The suspense builds; the execution is delayed as the officials
wait for a word of pardon. Finally, the woman in executed;
the call comes, and the pardon has been granted, but it is too late.
When no pardon is granted, condemnation leads to death. Our sin
marks us as "guilty" before God, and we deserve the wages of sin,
which is death. But in Jesus Christ, the pardon does come - and
it comes in time. Our sin deserves condemnation by God, and yet
he forgives us because Christ paid the penalty for us,
But we face other kinds of condemnation as well - self-condemnation,
that internal accusation that we still, somehow, must pay the price
of our own sin. Others often condemn us as well, offering much less
forgiveness and mercy than God does. And the Enemy of our souls condemns
us, trying to convince us that we don't, after all, have real freedom
from sin.
Yet Paul tells us in Romans 8, "There is therefore now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus". God has forgiven us freely; he has
granted his pardon. And in light of his forgiveness, how can we live
under the condemnation of others - or even of ourselves?
We are free, Paul says - free from the "law of sin and death,"
free to live in the liberty of the Spirit. The stay of execution
has come: the pardon has been granted. Never again can we tried
for the same crimes: never again must we live under the burden
of condemnation.
Application
a) Have I ever lived under the burden of condemnation from myself
or others? Why?
b) How can Romans 8:1-2 help me live in freedom of such condemnation?

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants

"My name is Kam. I'm 29 years of age, and I grew up Sikh. As a teenager,
I struggled with depression, brokenness, and addiction to
cannabis. I didn't know how to stop or how to get help.
Then a friend invited me to church. As I spent time with Christians
and heard the message of the Gospel, I experienced the
love of Jesus Christ, and it was like nothing I'd known before.
One night I had a dream where I saw Him - a figure surrounded by

Conclusion:
Pray to the Lord and and give Him a praise of Thanksgiving.
Pray to the Lord: "Father, please show me how I can use my resources
and abilities to benefit the body of Christ."
Pray to the Lord and pray your salvation remember in Jesus Christ
and know that it is complete in Him.
Pray to the Lord and pray to lay up treasure in Heaven.
Pray to the Lord and pray to patient in all things.
Pray for Muslims in Canada to know Jesus as Saviour.
Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective
discipleship movements among Muslim people.
