Day 183, 2 July 2022

1) Psalms 42-46

Psalms 42

BOOK TWO

Psalms 42–72

For the Music Director. A Contemplative Maskil of the sons of Korah.

1 As the deer pants after the water brooks,

so my soul pants after You, O God.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.

When will I come and appear before God?

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) My tears have been my food

day and night,

while they always say to me,

"Where is your God?"

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) When I remember these things,

I pour out my soul within me.

For I would travel with the throng of people;

I proceeded with them to the house of God,

with the voice of joy and thanks,

with a multitude making a pilgrimage.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Why are you cast down, O my soul?

And why are you disquieted in me?

Hope in God,

for I will yet thank Him

for the help of His presence.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) O my God, my soul is cast down within me;

therefore I will remember You

from the land of Jordan,

and of the Hermon, from the hill of Mizar.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) Deep calls to deep

at the noise of Your waterfalls;

all Your waves and Your billows

passed over me.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Yet the Lord will command His lovingkindness

in the daytime, and in the night His song will be with me,

a prayer to the God of my life.

9 Ps 38:6; 18:2 I will say to God, my rock,

"Why have You forgotten me?

Why do I go mourning

because of the oppression of the enemy?"

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) With shattering in my bones,

those harassing me reproach me,

when they say to me every day,

"Where is your God?"

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Why, my soul, are you cast down?

Why do you groan within me?

Wait for God;

I will yet thank Him,

For He is my deliverance and my God.

Psalm 42

To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah.

[1] As the hart panteth after the water brooks,

So panteth my soul after thee, O God.

[2] My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:

When shall I come and appear before God?

[3] My tears have been my meat day and night,

While they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?

[4] When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me:

For I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God,

With the voice of joy and praise,

With a multitude that kept holyday.

[5] Why art thou cast down, O my soul?

And why art thou disquieted in me?

Hope thou in God:

For I shall yet praise him For the help of his countenance.

[6] O my God, my soul is cast down within me:

Therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the

Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.

[7] Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts:

All thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

[8] Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime,

And in the night his song shall be with me,

and my prayer unto the God of my life.

[9] I will say unto God my rock, why hast thou forgotten me?

Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

[10] As with a sword in my bones,

Mine enemies reproach me;

While they say daily unto me,

Where is thy God?

[11] Why art thou cast down, O my soul?

And why art thou disquieted within me?

Hope thou in God;

For I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Psalms 43

1 Vindicate me, O God,

and plead my cause against an ungodly nation;

deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) For You are the God of my refuge;

why have You rejected me?

Why do I walk about mourning

because of the oppression of the enemy?

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Send out Your light and Your truth.

Let them lead me;

let them bring me to Your holy hill,

and to Your dwelling place.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Then I will go to the altar of God,

to the God of my joyful gladness;

with the harp I will give thanks to You,

O God, my God.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Why are you cast down, O my soul?

And why are you disquieted withinme?

Hope in God;

for I will yet give Him thanks,

the salvation of my countenance and my God.

Psalm 43

[1] Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation:

O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

[2] For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off?

Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

[3] O send out thy light and thy truth: Let them lead me;

Let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

[4] Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy:

Yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

[5] Why art thou cast down, O my soul?

And why art thou disquieted within me?

Hope in God:

For I shall yet praise him, Who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Psalms 44

For the Music Director. A Contemplative Maskil of the sons of Korah.

1 We have heard with our ears, O God,

our fathers have told us

what work You did in their days,

in the days of old:

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) how You drove out the nations with Your hand,

and planted others instead;

how You afflicted peoples,

and sent them away.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) For they did not take possession

of the land by their own sword,

nor did their own arm save them;

but it was Your right hand, and Your arm,

and the light of Your countenance, because You had favor on them.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) You are my King, O God;

command deliverances for Jacob.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Through You we will push down our opponents;

through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) For I will not trust in my bow,

nor will my sword save me.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) But You have saved us from our opponents,

and have put to shame those who hate us.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) In God we boast all the day long,

and give thanks to Your name forever. Selah

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) But You have rejected us and put us to shame,

and do not go out with our armies.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) You make us to turn back from the opponent,

and those who hate us make us their spoil.

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) You have placed us like sheep for prey,

and have scattered us among the nations.

12 You sell Your people for nothing,

and do not increase Your wealth by their sale.

13 You make us a reproach to our neighbors,

a scorn and a derision to those who surround us.

14 You make us a byword among the nations,

a shaking of the head among the people.

15 All day long my reproach is before me,

and the shame of my face covers me,

16 from the voice of him who reproaches and reviles,

by reason of the enemy and avenger.

17 All this is come on us,

yet we have not forgotten You,

nor have we dealt falsely in Your covenant.

18 Our heart is not turned back,

nor have our steps deviated from Your way,

19 though You have crushed us in the place of jackals,

and covered us with the shadow of death.

20 If we have forgotten the name of our God,

or stretched out our hands to a strange god,

21 would not God search this out?

For He knows the secrets of the heart.

22 Yes, for Your sake we are killed all the day long;

we are considered like sheep for the slaughter.

23 Awake; why do You sleep, O Lord?

Arise; do not reject us forever.

24 Why do You hide Your face,

and forget our affliction and our oppression?

25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust;

our body cleaves to the earth.

26 Arise, be our help,

and redeem us for the sake of Your lovingkindness.

Psalm 44

To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, Maschil.

[1] We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us,

What work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.

[2] How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them;

How thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.

[3] For they got not the land in possession by their own sword,

Neither did their own arm save them:

But thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance,

Because thou hadst a favour unto them.

[4] Thou art my King, O God: Command deliverances for Jacob.

[5] Through thee will we push down our enemies:

Through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

[6] For I will not trust in my bow,

Neither shall my sword save me.

[7] But thou hast saved us from our enemies,

And hast put them to shame that hated us.

[8] In God we boast all the day long,

And praise thy name for ever. Selah.

[9] But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame;

And goest not forth with our armies.

[10] Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy:

And they which hate us spoil for themselves.

[11] Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat;

And hast scattered us among the heathen.

[12] Thou sellest thy people for nought,

And dost not increase thy wealth by their price.

[13] Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours,

A scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.

[14] Thou makest us a byword among the heathen,

A shaking of the head among the people.

[15] My confusion is continually before me,

And the shame of my face hath covered me,

[16] For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth;

By reason of the enemy and avenger.

[17] All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee,

Neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.

[18] Our heart is not turned back,

Neither have our steps declined from thy way;

[19] Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons,

And covered us with the shadow of death.

[20] If we have forgotten the name of our God,

or stretched out our hands to a strange god;

[21] Shall not God search this out? For he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

[22] Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long;

We are counted as sheep for the slaughter.

[23] Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord?

Arise, cast us not off for ever.

[24] Wherefore hidest thou thy face,

And forgettest our affliction and our oppression?

[25] For our soul is bowed down to the dust:

Our belly cleaveth unto the earth.

[26]Arise for our help,

And redeem us for thy mercies' sake.

Psalms 45

For the Music Director. To the melody of "Lilies."

A Contemplative Maskil of the sons of Korah. A love song.

1 My heart is overflowing with a good thought;

I am speaking my works for the king;

my tongue is the pen of a skilled scribe.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) You are fairer than all the sons of men;

favor is poured on your lips;

therefore God has blessed you forever.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Gird your sword on your thigh, O mighty one,

with your splendor and your majesty.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) In your majesty ride prosperously

because of truth and meekness and righteousness;

and your right hand will teach you awesome things.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies;

peoples will fall under you.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;

the scepter of Your kingdom is an upright scepter.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) You love righteousness and hate wickedness;

therefore God, your God, anointed you

with the oil of gladness above your companions.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) All your garments are fragrant with myrrh and aloes

and cassia; from the ivory palaces stringed instruments make you glad.

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) Kings' daughters are among your honourable women;

at your right hand stands the queen in gold of Ophir.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) Listen, O daughter, consider and incline your ear;

forget your own people, and your father’s house,

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) and the king will desire your beauty.

Since he is your lord, bow to him.

12 The daughter of Tyre will be there with a gift;

even the rich among the people will entreat your favor.

13 The royal daughter is all glorious within her chamber;

her clothing is plaited gold.

14 She shall be brought to the king in embroidered garments;

the virgins, her companions who follow her,

shall be brought to you.

15 With gladness and rejoicing they shall be brought;

they shall enter into the king’s palace.

16 Your sons shall succeed your fathers;

yo u will make them princes in all the land.

17 I will cause your name to be remembered in all generations;

therefore the people will praise you forever and ever.

Psalm 45

To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah, Maschil,

A Song of loves.

[1] My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have

made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

[2] Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips:

therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

[3] Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy

majesty.

[4] And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and

righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

[5] Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the

people fall under thee.

[6] Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a

right sceptre.

[7] Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy

God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

[8] All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory

palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

[9] Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand

did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

[10] Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also

thine own people, and thy father's house;

[11] So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and

worship thou him.

[12] And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich

among the people shall intreat thy favour.

[13] The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought

gold.

[14] She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the

virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

[15] With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter

into the king's palace.

[16] Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make

princes in all the earth.

[17] I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore

shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

Psalms 46

For the Music Director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. According to Alamoth.

A Song.

1 God is our refuge and strength,

a well-proven help in trouble.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed,

and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) though its waters roar and foam,

though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) There is a river whose streams make glad the city

of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) God is in the midst of her; she will not be moved;

God will help her in the early dawn.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) The nations roared; the kingdoms were moved;

He uttered His voice; the earth melted.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) The Lord of Hosts is with us;

the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Come, see the works of the Lord,

who makes desolations in the earth.

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;

He breaks the bow and cuts off the spear;

He burns the chariot in the fire.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) Be still and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) The Lord of Hosts is with us;

the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

[1] God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

[2] Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though

the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

[3] Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains

shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

[4] There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God,

the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

[5] God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her,

and that right early.

[6] The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the

earth melted.

[7] The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

[8] Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in

the earth.

[9] He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow,

and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

[10] Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen,

I will be exalted in the earth.

[11] The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Entitled Surviving and Thriving

Ephesians 4:4-16

4 (Eph 1:18; 2:16) There is one body and one Spirit, even as you were called

in one hope of your calling,

5 (1Co 8:6; Mt 28:19) one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 (Ro 11:36; 1Co 12:6) one God and Father of all, who is above all,

and through all, and in you all.

7 (Ro 12:3; Eph 3:2) But grace was given to each one of us according

to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8 (Ps 68:18; Col 2:15) Therefore He says:

"When He ascended on high,

He led captivity captive,

and gave gifts to men." (Ps 68:18).

9 (Jn 3:13; 6:33) (In saying, "He ascended," what does it mean

but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 (Heb 4:14; 7:26) He who descended is also He who ascended far above

all the heavens that He might fill all things.)

11 (Ac 21:8; 13:1) He gave some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists,

pastors, and teachers,

12 (1Co 12:27; Eph 1:23) for the equipping of the saints, for the work

of service, and for the building up of the body of Christ,

13 (Eph 4:5; 1:23) until we all come into the unity of the faith

and of the knowledge of the Son of God, into a complete man,

to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

14 (Jas 1:6; 1Co 14:20) so we may no longer be children, tossed here

and there by waves and carried about with every wind of doctrine

by the trickery of men, by craftiness with deceitful scheming.

15 (Eph 1:22; 2:21) But, speaking the truth in love, we may grow up

in all things into Him, who is the head, Christ Himself,

16 (Col 2:19; Eph 1:4) from whom the whole body is joined together

and connected by every joint and ligament, as every part effectively

does its work and grows, building itself up in love.

[4] There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of

your calling;

[5] One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

[6] One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you

all.

[7] But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the

gift of Christ.

[8] Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity

captive, and gave gifts unto men.

[9] (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into

the lower parts of the earth?

[10] He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all

heavens, that he might fill all things.)

[11] And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;

and some, pastors and teachers;

[12] For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the

edifying of the body of Christ:

[13] Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the

Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the

fulness of Christ:

[14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried

about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning

craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

[15] But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things,

which is the head, even Christ:

[16] From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that

which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the

measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of

itself in love.

The Croods, an animated caveman family, believe that "the only way to survive

is if the pack [their small family] stays together." They're afraid of the

world and others, so when looking for a safe place to live they're filled

with fear after discovering a strange family already in the area they've

chosen. But they soon learn to embrace the differences of their new

neighbours, draw strength from them, and survive together. They find that

they actually enjoy them and that they do need others to live life fully.

It can be risky to be in relationship-people can and do hurt us. Yet it's for

good reason God put His people together in a body, the church. In fellowship

with others, we grow to maturity (Ephesians 4:13). We learn to depend on Him

to help us be "humble and gentle" and "patient" (v. 2). We help each other

by building each other up "in love" (v. 16). When we gather together,

we use our gifts and learn from others who use theirs, which in turn

equips us in our walk with God and service for Him.

As He leads you, look for your place among God's people if you haven't

found it yet. You'll do more than survive; in shared love you'll bring honour

to God and grow to be more like Jesus. And may we all depend on Him as we walk

through a growing relationship with Jesus and others.

Week 1 Knowing God's Word Day 7 - The Cost of Widsom

Proverbs 4:4,7

Proverbs 4

4 (Pr 7:2; Eph 6:4) He also taught me and said to me,

"Let your heart retain my words;

keep my commandments, and live.

7 (Mt 13:44-46) Wisdom is principal; therefore get wisdom.

And with all your getting, get understanding. "

4 He taught me also, and said unto me,

Let thine heart retain my words:

Keep my commandments, and live.

7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:

And with all thy getting get understanding.

Establishing priorities is a popular topic of conversation in our

generation. We carry appointment calendars and attend goal-setting

strategy seminars. We let machines answer our telephones so that

we won't miss any important messages, or so that we can screen calls

before we answer them. We order our lives so that we can "get ahead".

"Getting ahead" in God's kingdom, however, involves other priorities

than the ones we may set for ourselves. "Wisdom is supreme," the

principal thing, says Proverbs 4:7, "Get wisdom. Though it cost

all you have, get understanding."

Wisdom is defined as "an understanding of what is true, right, or lasting."

Biblical wisdom is not merely the accumulation of facts about God and his

teaching, but the application of those truths of life, taking on

the character of God as we mature in the image of Christ.

Such wisdom may, indeed, come at great cost. Jesus calls us to "lay

down our lives" to follow him - perhaps not literally to die, but to die

to self-centered priorities, to allow the Holy Spirit to establish

his value system in us.

"Keep my commandments and you will live," Proverbs 4:4 says. Real life -

rich, fulfilling, significant, abundant life - comes only through union

with God. The success offered by the world, the acclaim of others, material

prosperity and convenience cannot satisfy us once we have tasted

the joy of life with God in Christ.

Application

a) What does "getting wisdom" means to me?

b) What practical changes can I make in my life to help me focus

my attention on the priorities and values of the Lord?

4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland

Deut 29:9

9 (Dt 4:6; Jos 1:7)Therefore, keep the words of this covenant

and do them, so that you may prosper in all you do.

9 Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them,

that ye may prosper in all that ye do.

When you are ill or injured

Psalm 103:1-5

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul,

and all that is within me, bless His holy name.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Bless the Lord, O my soul,

and forget not all His benefits,

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) who forgives all your iniquities,

who heals all your diseases,

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) who redeems your life from the pit,

who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) who satisfies your mouth with good things,

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

The Lord's prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

9 "Therefore pray in this manner:

Our Father who is in heaven,

hallowed be Your name.

10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;

Your will be done

on earth, as it is in heaven.

11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.

12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors.

13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

also been adjusted by +40% as reliable sources state that on 60% of Muslims

self-identify on government surveys and forms. These estimates are still on

the conservative end of the spectrum. Percentages represent that of the total

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020

Under the Keep Praying page

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month

and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days

of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that

usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,

of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be

decorated and festivals will be held.

For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the

distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of

Islam.

You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",

which means Blessed Eid!"

Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you

know, and Muslims around the world:

- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions

in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about

unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such

movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three

decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim

relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,

"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;

your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

18 Even on My menservants and maidservants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.

19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:

blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,

and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

Footnotes

Acts 2:21 Joel 2:28-32.

- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective

discipleship movements among Muslim people.

- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for

Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a

hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under

a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the

house."

Ideas for prayer

- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you

- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving

Christ among Muslim people -

Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."

- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims

throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

And

Thank you for praying through the

5 Days of Prayer for Sikhs.

"My name is Kam. I'm 29 years of age, and I grew up Sikh. As a teenager,

I struggled with depression, brokenness, and addiction to

cannabis. I didn't know how to stop or how to get help.

Then a friend invited me to church. As I spent time with Christians

and heard the message of the Gospel, I experienced the

love of Jesus Christ, and it was like nothing I'd known before.

One night I had a dream where I saw Him - a figure surrounded by

light who I knew was Jesus, the light of the world.

As I began to understand the gospel message, I encountered a reassuring and

confident solution to the problem of sin. I knew that I needed a solution

to my sin problem, and I gave my life to Christ.

Slowly, God began to heal my broken heart and my addiction.

Nine years have passed, and I am a devoted husband and a father

to two beautiful boys. I grow deeper in love with Jesus each day.

I ask you to continue praying with me, and others around the world, for Sikhs.

God is the only one who can draw people to Himself. He works in and through

the prayers of His people. I want Sikhs to know the freedom

and healing that is only available through Jesus Christ."

13 (Ro 14:17; 12:12) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy

and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope,

through the power of the Holy Spirit.
