Acts 5:17-41



Persecution of the Apostles



17 (Ac 7:9; 13:45) Then the high priest and all those who were with him

(that is, the sect of the Sadducees) rose up and were filled with jealousy.

18 (Ac 4:3; Lk 21:12) They seized the apostles and put them in the common

prison.

19 (Ac 8:26; 16:26) But during the night an angel of the Lord

opened the prison doors and led them out, and said,

20 (Jn 6:63; 6:68) "Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people

all the words of this life."

21 (Jn 8:2) Having heard this, they entered the temple at dawn and taught.

But the high priest and those who were with him came and called together

the Sanhedrin and the senate of all the sons of Israel,

and sent to the prison to have them brought out.

22 But when the officers came and did not find them in the prison,

they returned and reported,

23 "We found the prison securely shut and the guards standing

outside before the doors. But when we opened it, we found no one inside."

24 (Ac 4:1; 5:26) Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple,

and the chief priests heard these things, they were in doubt of what might

become of this.

25 Then one came and told them, "Look, the men whom you put in prison

are standing in the temple and teaching the people."

26 (Ac 5:13; 4:21) Then the captain with his escorts went and brought them,

without force lest they should be stoned, for they feared the people.

27 When they had brought them, they stood them before the Sanhedrin.

And the high priest questioned them,

28 (Mt 27:25; Ac 7:52) saying, "Did we not strictly command you not

to teach in this name? Yet now you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching,

and you intend to bring on us this Man's blood."

29 (Ac 4:19) Peter and the other apostles answered,

"We must obey God rather than men.

30 (Ac 10:39; Gal 3:13) The God of our fathers raised Jesus,

whom you killed by hanging on a tree.

31 (Lk 24:47; 2:11; Ac 2:33) God exalted this Man to His right hand

to be a Ruler and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel

and forgiveness of sins.

32 (Jn 15:26-27; Ac 2:4) We are His witnesses to these words,

as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him."

33 (Ac 2:37; 7:54) When they heard this, they were cut to the heart

and took counsel to kill them.

34 (Ac 22:3; Lk 2:46) But a Pharisee in the Sanhedrin named Gamaliel,

a teacher of the law honored by all the people, stood

and ordered the apostles to be put outside for a little while.

35 Then he said to them, "Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves

what you intend to do concerning these men.

36 (Ac 8:9; 21:38) For in previous days Theudas rose up, boasting

to be somebody, to whom a number of about four hundred men joined

themselves. He was killed, and all who obeyed him were dispersed

and came to nothing.

37 (Lk 2:1-2) After Theudas, Judas the Galilean rose up

in the days of the census and drew away many people after him.

This man also perished, and all who obeyed him were scattered.

38 (La 3:37; Mt 15:13) Now I tell you, keep away from these men

and leave them alone, because if this intention or this activity

is of men, it will come to nothing.

39 (Pr 21:30; Ac 7:51) But if it is of God, you will not be able

to overthrow them, lest perhaps you be found even fighting against God."

40 (Mt 10:17; Mk 13:9) They agreed with him. When they had called

in the apostles, they beat them, and commanded them not to speak

in the name of Jesus, and released them.

41 (Jn 15:21) Then they departed from the presence of the Sanhedrin,

rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name.

morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him,

and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of

Israel and sent to the prison to have them brought.

[22] But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they

returned, and told,

[23] Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers

standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man

within.

[24] Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief

priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.

[25] Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in

prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

[26] Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without

violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

[27] And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and

the high priest asked them,

[28] Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in

this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and

intend to bring this man's blood upon us.

[31] Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour,

Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

[33] When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to

slay them.

[34] Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a

doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to

put the apostles forth a little space;

[35] And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye

intend to do as touching these men.

[36] For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody;

to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was

slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to

nought.

[37] After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and

drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as

obeyed him, were dispersed.

[38] And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for

if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:

[39] But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found

even to fight against God.

[40] And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and

beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus,

and let them go.

A) The call from God to obey



Acts 5:27-29



27 When they had brought them, they stood them before the Sanhedrin.

And the high priest questioned them,

28 (Mt 27:25; Ac 7:52) saying, "Did we not strictly command you not

to teach in this name? Yet now you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching,

and you intend to bring on us this Man's blood."

29 (Ac 4:19) Peter and the other apostles answered,

Psalm 19:10

Hebrews 13:4

and the bed undefiled. But God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

and adulterers God will judge.



John 14:30-31,23-24



30 (Jn 12:31; 2Co 4:4; Heb 4:15) After this I will not speak much with you,

for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over Me.

31 (Jn 10:18; 12:49) But I do as the Father has commanded Me

so that the world may know that I love the Father.

"Rise, let us go from here.



[30] Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world

cometh, and hath nothing in me.

[31] But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father

gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.



23 (Jn 14:15; 14:21) Jesus answered him, "If a man loves Me, he will keep

My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our home

with him.

24 (Jn 7:16; 14:10) He who does not love Me does not keep My words.

The word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.



[23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my

words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our

abode with him.

[24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye

hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.



1 John 2:3-5



3 (Jn 14:15; 15:10) By this we know that we know Him,

if we keep His commandments.

4 (1Jn 1:8; 1:6) Whoever says, "I know Him," and does not keep

His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 (Jn 14:23; 1Jn 3:24) But whoever keeps His word truly has the love of God

perfected in him. By this we know we are in Him.



[3] And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

[4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar,

and the truth is not in him.

[5] But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected:

hereby know we that we are in him.



B) Correction when we don't



Acts 5:30-31

Christ Our Advocate



1 (Ro 8:34; 1Ti 2:5; Jn 13:33) My little children, I am writing these things

to you, so that you do not sin. But if anyone does sin,

we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous One.

2 (1Jn 4:10; Jn 4:42) He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins,

and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.



[1] My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And

if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the

righteous:

[2] And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also

for the sins of the whole world.



2 Corinthians 7:10



10 (Ac 11:18; 2Sa 12:13) Godly sorrow produces repentance that leads

to salvation and brings no regret, but the sorrow of the world produces death.



[10] For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of:

but the sorrow of the world worketh death.



c) The benefit when we do



Psalm 19:11



11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Moreover by them is Your servant warned,

and by keeping them comes great reward.

LEVITICUS 16



The Day of Atonement



Lev 23:26-32; Nu 29:7-11



1 (Lev 10:1-2) The Lord spoke to Moses after the death

of the two sons of Aaron, when they drew near

to the Lord and died.

2 (Ex 30:10; 1Ki 8:10-12) The Lord said to Moses:

Speak to Aaron your brother so that he does not come

at any time into the Holy Place within the veil

before the mercy seat, which is on the ark, so that he will not die,

for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.

3 (Lev 4:3; 1:10) Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy Place

with a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.

4 (Ex 30:20; 28:39-43)mHe shall put on the holy linen tunic,

and he shall have the linen undergarment on his body,

and shall be girded with a linen sash,

and shall be wearing the linen turban.

These are holy garments. Therefore he shall wash his body in water

and then put them on.

5 (2Ch 29:21; Nu 29:11) He shall take from the congregation

of the children of Israel two male goats for a sin offering

and one ram for a burnt offering.

6 (Lev 9:7; Heb 9:7) Aaron shall offer his bull for the sin offering,

which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house.

7 Then he shall take the two goats and present them before the Lord

at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

8 Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats:

one lot for the Lord and the other lot for the scapegoat.

9 Aaron shall bring the goat on which the lot of the Lord falls

and offer him for a sin offering.

10 (1Jn 2:2) But the goat on which the lot falls to be the scapegoat

shall be presented alive before the Lord to make atonement with it,

that it may be sent away as a scapegoat into the wilderness.

11 (Lev 16:6) Aaron shall bring the bull of the sin offering,

which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself,

and for his house, and shall kill

the bull of the sin offering for himself.

12 (Lev 10:1; Ex 30:34-38) And he shall take a censer full

of burning coals of fire from the altar before the Lord,

and two handfuls of sweet incense beaten small,

and bring it within the veil.

13 (Ex 25:21; 30:1) And he shall put the incense on the fire

before the Lord, that the cloud of the incense may cover

the mercy seat that is over the testimony, so that he does not die.

14 (Heb 9:25; Lev 4:5-6) And he shall take of the blood of the bull,

and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the eastern side,

and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle from the blood with

his finger seven times.

15 (Heb 9:7; 9:3; 9:12) Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering,

which is for the people, and bring its blood within the veil,

and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull,

and sprinkle it over and in front of the mercy seat.

16 (Ex 29:36-37; Lev 16:18) And he shall make atonement

for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children

of Israel and because of their transgressions in all their sins,

and so he shall do for the tent of meeting that remains

among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

17 (Lk 1:10) There shall be no man in the tent of meeting when he goes

in to make atonement in the Holy Place,

until he comes out and has made atonement for himself,

and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.

18 (Lev 4:7; Ex 30:10) Then he shall go out to the altar

that is before the Lord and make atonement for it,

and he shall take some of the blood of the bull

and some of the blood of the goat,

and put it on the horns of the altar all around.

19 He shall sprinkle from the blood on it with

his finger seven times, and cleanse it,

and consecrate it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

20 (Lev 16:16; Eze 45:20) When he has made an end of atonement

for the Holy Place, and the tent of meeting, and the altar,

then he shall bring the live goat.

21 (Isa 53:6; 2Co 5:21) And Aaron shall lay both his hands

on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities

of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins,

putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send it away

by the hand of a designated man into the wilderness.

22 (Isa 53:11-12; Jn 1:29) And the goat shall bear on it all their iniquities

to a desolate land, and he shall let the goat go free in the wilderness.

23 (Eze 42:14; 44:19) Then Aaron shall come into the tent of meeting,

and shall take off the linen garments which he put on when he went

into the Holy Place, and shall leave them there.

24 (Lev 16:3-5) And he shall wash his body with water in a holy place,

and put on his garments, and come out, and offer his burnt offering,

and the burnt offering of the people, and make atonement for himself

and for the people.

25 (Ex 29:13; Lev 4:8-10) The fat of the sin offering he shall burn

on the altar.

26 (Lev 16:10) He who releases the goat as the scapegoat shall wash

his clothes, and bathe his body in water, and afterward come into the camp.

27 (Lev 4:21; 6:30) The bull for the sin offering and the goat

for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement

in the Holy Place, shall be carried outside the camp.

They shall burn in the fire their hides, their flesh, and their refuse.

28 He who burns them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his body in water,

and afterward he shall come into the camp.

29 (Nu 29:7; Isa 58:3) This shall be a perpetual statute for you so that

in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall humble

yourselves, and do no work of any kind, whether it is the native

citizen or the stranger who sojourns among you.

30 (Jer 33:8; Ps 51:2) For on that day the priest shall make atonement

for you to cleanse you, so that you may be clean from all your sins

before the Lord.

31 (Lev 23:32) It shall be a sabbath, a solemn rest for you,

and you shall humble yourselves. It is a perpetual statute.

32 (Ex 29:29-30; Lev 16:4) The priest, who is anointed

and consecrated to minister as a priest in the place of his father,

shall make atonement, and shall put on the linen garments,

the holy garments.

33 (Lev 16:16; 16:6) And he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary,

for the tent of meeting, and for the altar, and he shall make atonement

for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.

34 (Heb 9:7; 9:25) This shall be a perpetual statute for you to make

atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year.

And Moses did as the Lord commanded him.



Leviticus 16

[1] And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron,

when they offered before the LORD, and died;

[2] And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come

not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat,

which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon

the mercy seat.

[3] Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a

sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

[4] He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen

breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with

the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore

shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.

[5] And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids

of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

[6] And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for

himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.

[7] And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD at the

door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

[8] And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and

the other lot for the scapegoat.

[9] And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD's lot fell, and offer

him for a sin offering.

[10] But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be

presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let

him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

[11] And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for

himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and

shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:

[12] And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the

altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and

bring it within the vail:

[13] And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the

cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony,

that he die not:

[14] And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his

finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he

sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.

[15] Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the

people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he

did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and

before the mercy seat:

[16] And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the

uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions

in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the

congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

[17] And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he

goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have

made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the

congregation of Israel.

[18] And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make an

atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the

blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.

[19] And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times,

and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of

Israel.

[20] And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the

tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:

[21] And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and

confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their

transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat,

and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:

[22] And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not

inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.

[23] And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall

put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy

place, and shall leave them there:

[24] And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on

his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt

offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the

people.

[25] And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar.

[26] And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes,

and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.

[27] And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin

offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place,

shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire

their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.

[28] And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in

water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

[29] And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh

month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no

work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that

sojourneth among you:

[30] For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse

you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.

[31] It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your

souls, by a statute for ever.

[32] And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to

minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the

atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments:

[33] And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall

make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar,

and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of

the congregation.

[34] And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement

for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the

LORD commanded Moses.



LEVITICUS 17



The Law About Eating Blood



1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

2 Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel,

and say to them: This is the thing which the Lord has commanded, saying:

3 If anyone of the house of Israel ritually slaughters an ox, a lamb,

4 (Ge 17:14) and does not bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting

to offer it as a gift to the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord,

then blood guilt shall be accounted to that man. He has shed blood,

It is depravity.

18 And you shall not have a woman as a rival wife,

who is the sister of your other wife,

for this is to expose her nakedness while her sister,

your other wife, is still alive.

After another health setback, I feared the unknown and uncontrollable. One

day, while reading a Forbes magazine article, I learned that scientists

studied the rising of the "Earth's rotation velocity" and declared that

the Earth "wobbled" and is "spinning faster." They said we "could require

the first-ever 'drop second'-the official removal of a second from global

time." Though a second doesn't seem like much of a loss, knowing that

the Earth's rotation could change seemed like a big deal to me. Even slight

instability can make my faith feel wobbly. However, knowing God is in control

helps me to trust Him no matter how scary our unknowns

or how shaky our circumstances may seem.



In Psalm 90, Moses said, "Before the mountains were brought forth,

or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,

Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God."(v. 2).

Acknowledging God's unlimited power, control, and authority

over all creation, Moses declared that time cannot constrain God (vv. 3-6).



As we seek to know more about God and the wonderful world He made, we'll

discover how He continues perfectly managing time and all He created.

God can be trusted with every unknown and newly discovered thing

in our lives too. All creation remains secure in God's loving hands.

Week 7 Promises of Grace - Day 1 Hard Bargain



Mark 11:24



24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray,

believe that you will receive them, and you will have them.



24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,

believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.



"I've been praying." Jennifer declared confidently. " I told God I'd give him

a tithe of that $5000000 when I win the sweepstakes."

Her friend Cindi laughed. "Well, then, you don't have a chance. I told him

I'd give him half!"

Can we, as in Mark 11:24 seems to imply , pray for anything, absolutely

anything, and expect that the Lord will come through? Can we pray with

assurance for new cars, mink coats, or trips to the Caribbean? The verse

seems to be a troublesome one, especially when we try it and our prayers

aren't answered in the way we expected.

But seen in context, Mark 11:24 gives us a much broader picture of the

kind of prayer Jesus meant. The verse appears in the framework of

Jesus' ministry - cleansing the temple, correcting the Pharisees,

commanding forgiveness, discussing his authority. The condition for

the fulfillment of Mark 11:24, if Jesus' actions are any indication,

is fulfilling the will and purpose of God.

Such a condition for powerful prayers involves much more than attaching

am "If it be Thy will" clause onto the end of our prayers. We need to know

God's will and walk in it, seeking his kingdom first, and drawing close to

him. Then , as our hearts are right with him, what we ask in prayer

is likely to be congruent with the mind and purposes of Christ. We are

less likely to pray selfishly, and more likely to share God's priorities,

as we get to know him. And as we deepen in our knowledge of him,

as his will becomes our will, his promise for answered prayer takes

on new dimensions.

Alberta may have a total as high as 195240 today.

Calgary is notable as the first Canadian city with a Muslim mayor. It's

become a prominent place of Islamic fundamentalism.

Edmonton's Muslim population is very diverse, with the largest group

coming from Tanzania, followed by Somalia, and then North African countries

such as Egypt, Morocco, etc.

Muslims are coming to faith in Jesus! They overcome huge spiritual,

emotional and cultural hurdles to follow Christ. Yet their challenges still

continue, especially in growing in discipleship. They often fell lost in our

Western congregations, and equally lost trying to find a church body with whom

they can identify. some are even being lured into Christian cult groups.



Please join us in praying for:

- The church to reach out to the growing Muslim populations in Alberta.

- for Canadian churches to start contextualised discipleship ministries to

Muslim-background believers.

- for Muslm-background believers to be well grounded spiritually and socially

in their faith and the Church.

- and for Muslim-background believers to share their faith with their

not-yet-believing family and friendship networks.

- for Farsi and Arabic fellowships to grow in spiritual maturity and outreach.

- for current and new workers among Muslims in these growing Muslim

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month

and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days

of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that

usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,

of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be

decorated and festivals will be held.



For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the

distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of

Islam.



You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",

which means Blessed Eid!"



Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you

know, and Muslims around the world:



- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions

in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about

unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such

movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three

decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim

relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,

"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;

your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

18 Even on My menservants and maidservants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.

19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:

blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,

and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further

call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity

(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .
