Day 146 of the 2nd Bible Study Journey - 26 May 2022 reflections

Day 146, 26 May 2022

1) Proverbs 5-7

Proverbs 5

Warning Against Adultery [Pornography]

1 (Pr 4:20; 22:17) My son, attend to my wisdom,

and bow your ear to my understanding,

2 that you may regard discretion,

and that your lips may keep knowledge.

3 (Ps 55:21; Pr 2:16) For the lips of an immoral woman drip as a honeycomb,

and her mouth is smoother than oil.

4 (Ecc 7:26; Ps 55:21) But her end is bitter as wormwood,

sharp as a two-edged sword.

5 (Pr 7:27) Her feet go down to death,

her steps take hold of Sheol.

6 (Pr 4:26) She does not ponder the path of life;

her ways are unstable, and she does not know it.

7 (Pr 4:1) Hear me now therefore, O children,

and do not depart from the words of my mouth.

8 Remove your way far from her,

and do not go near the door of her house,

9 lest you give your honor to others,

and your years to the cruel;

10 lest strangers be filled with your wealth,

and your labors go to the house of a stranger;

11 and you mourn at the last,

when your flesh and your body are consumed,

12 (Pr 12:1; 1:22) and say, "How I have hated instruction,

and my heart despised reproof!

13 And I have not obeyed the voice of my teachers,

nor inclined my ear to those who instructed me!

14 I was almost in utter ruin

in the midst of the congregation and assembly."

15 Drink waters out of your own cistern,

and running waters out of your own well.

16 (Ps 68:26) Should your fountains be dispersed abroad,

streams of water in the streets?

17 Let them be only your own,

and not for strangers with you.

18 (Ecc 9:9) Let your fountain be blessed,

and rejoice with the wife of your youth.

19 (SS 2:9; 4:5) Let her be as the loving deer and pleasant doe;

let her breasts satisfy you at all times;

and always be enraptured with her love.

20 (Pr 6:24; 7:5 ) Why should you, my son, be intoxicated by an immoral woman,

and embrace the bosom of a seductress?

21 (Hos 7:2; Heb 4:13) For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord,

and He ponders all his goings.

22 (Ps 7:15-16; 9:15) His own iniquities entrap the wicked himself,

and he is snared in the cords of his sins.

23 (Job 4:21; 36:12) He will die for lack of instruction,

and in the greatness of his folly he will go astray.

Proverbs 5

1 My son, attend unto my wisdom,

And bow thine ear to my understanding:

2 That thou mayest regard discretion,

And that thy lips may keep knowledge.

3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb,

And her mouth is smoother than oil:

4 But her end is bitter as wormwood,

Sharp as a twoedged sword.

5 Her feet go down to death;

Her steps take hold on hell.

6 Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life,

Her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.

7 Hear me now therefore, O ye children,

And depart not from the words of my mouth.

8 Remove thy way far from her,

And come not nigh the door of her house:

9 Lest thou give thine honour unto others,

And thy years unto the cruel:

10 Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth;

And thy labours be in the house of a stranger;

11 And thou mourn at the last,

When thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

12 And say, How have I hated instruction,

And my heart despised reproof;

13 And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers,

Nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!

14 I was almost in all evil

In the midst of the congregation and assembly.

15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern,

And running waters out of thine own well.

16 Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad,

And rivers of waters in the streets.

17 Let them be only thine own,

And not strangers' with thee.

18 Let thy fountain be blessed:

And rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

19 Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe;

Let her breasts satisfy thee at all times;

And be thou ravished always with her love.

20 And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman,

And embrace the bosom of a stranger?

21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD,

And he pondereth all his goings.

22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself,

And he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

23 He shall die without instruction;

And in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

Proverbs 6

Warning Against Pledges

1 (Pr 11:15; 17:18) My son, if you put up a security for your friend,

if you have shaken hands with a stranger,

2 you are snared with the words of your mouth;

you are taken with the words of your mouth.

3 Do this now, my son, and deliver yourself;

when you have come into the hand of your friend,

go and humble yourself;

plead with your friend.

4 (Ps 132:4) Give no sleep to your eyes,

nor slumber to your eyelids.

5 (Ps 91:3; 124:7) Deliver yourself as a doe from the hand of the hunter,

and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

The Folly of Idleness

6 (Pr 10:26; 20:4 ) Go to the ant, you sluggard!

Consider her ways and be wise.

7 Which, having no guide,

overseer, or ruler,

8 (Pr 10:5 ) provides her bread in the summer,

and gathers her food in the harvest.

9 (Pr 24:33-34) How long will you sleep, O sluggard?

When will you arise out of your sleep?

10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber,

a little folding of the hands to sleep-

11 (Pr 24:34) so will your poverty come upon you like a stalker,

and your need as an armed man.

The Wicked Man

12 (Pr 4:24 ) A wayward person, a wicked man,

walks with a perverse mouth.

13 (Ps 35:19; Pr 10:10 ) He winks with his eyes,

he signals with his feet,

he motions with his fingers;

14 (Mic 2:1; Pr 6:18-19) perversity is in his heart,

he devises mischief continually, he sows discord.

15 (2Ch 36:16; Jer 19:11 ) Therefore his calamity will come suddenly;

in a moment he will be broken without remedy.

16 These six things the Lord hates,

yes, seven are an abomination to him:

17 (Pr 12:22; Isa 1:15 ) a proud look,

a lying tongue,

and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 (Ge 6:5; Pr 1:16) a heart that devises wicked imaginations,

feet that are swift in running to mischief,

19 (Ps 27:12; Pr 6:14) a false witness who speaks lies,

and he who sows discord among brethren.

Warning Against Adultery

20 (Eph 6:1 ) My son, keep your father's commandment,

and do not forsake the instruction of your mother.

21 (Pr 3:3) Bind them continually upon your heart,

and tie them around your neck.

22 (Pr 2:11; 3:23-24) When you go, they will lead you;

when you sleep, they will keep you;

and when you awake, they will speak with you.

23 (Ps 119:105; 19:8) For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light;

and reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

24 (Pr 2:16; 7:5) to keep you from the evil woman,

from the flattery of the tongue of a seductress.

25 (2Ki 9:30; Mt 5:28) Do not lust after her beauty in your heart,

nor let her allure you with her eyelids.

26 (Pr 29:3; 1Sa 2:36 ) For by means of a harlot a man is reduced to a piece of bread,

and the adulteress will prey upon his precious life.

27 Can a man take fire in his bosom,

and his clothes not be burned?

28 Can one walk upon hot coals,

and his feet not be burned?

29 So he who goes in to his neighbor's wife;

whoever touches her will not be innocent.

30 Men do not despise a thief if he steals

to satisfy himself when he is hungry.

31 But if he is found, he will restore sevenfold;

he will give all the substance of his house.

32 (Pr 7:7; 7:22-23) But whoever commits adultery

with a woman lacks understanding;

he who does it destroys his own soul.

33 (Pr 5:9-11) A wound and dishonor will he get,

and his reproach will not be wiped away.

34 (Pr 27:4; SS 8:6) For jealousy is the rage of a man;

therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

35 He will not regard any ransom,

nor will he rest content, though you give many gifts.

Proverbs 6

1 My son, if thou be surety for thy friend,

If thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,

2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth,

Thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

3 Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself,

When thou art come into the hand of thy friend;

Go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.

4 Give not sleep to thine eyes,

Nor slumber to thine eyelids.

5 Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter,

And as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard;

Consider her ways, and be wise:

7 Which having no guide,

Overseer, or ruler,

8 Provideth her meat in the summer,

And gathereth her food in the harvest.

9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard?

When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber,

A little folding of the hands to sleep:

11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth,

And thy want as an armed man.

12 A naughty person, a wicked man,

Walketh with a froward mouth.

13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet,

He teacheth with his fingers;

14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually;

He soweth discord.

15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly;

Suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

16 These six things doth the LORD hate:

Yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue,

And hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,

Feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies,

And he that soweth discord among brethren.

20 My son, keep thy father's commandment,

And forsake not the law of thy mother:

21 Bind them continually upon thine heart,

And tie them about thy neck.

22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee;

When thou sleepest, it shall keep thee;

And when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light;

And reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

24 To keep thee from the evil woman,

From the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.

25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart;

Neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread:

And the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.

27 Can a man take fire in his bosom,

And his clothes not be burned?

28 Can one go upon hot coals,

And his feet not be burned?

29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife;

Whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.

30 Men do not despise a thief, if he steal

To satisfy his soul when he is hungry;

31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold;

He shall give all the substance of his house.

32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding:

He that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

33 A wound and dishonour shall he get;

And his reproach shall not be wiped away.

34 For jealousy is the rage of a man:

Therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

35 He will not regard any ransom;

Neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.

Proverbs 7

Beware of the Adulteress

1 (Pr 1:8) My son, keep my words,

and lay up my commandments within you.

2 (Dt 32:10; Ps 17:8) Keep my commandments and live,

and my teaching as the apple of your eye.

3 (Pr 3:3; 6:21) Bind them on your fingers;

write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 Say to wisdom, "You are my sister,"

and call understanding your kinswoman,

5 (Pr 2:16; 6:24) that they may keep you from the immoral woman,

from the seductress who flatters with her words.

6 For at the window of my house

I looked through my casement,

7 (Pr 6:32; 1:22) and saw among the simple ones,

I discerned among the youths,

a young man void of understanding,

8 passing through the street near her corner;

and he went the way to her house

9 in the twilight, in the evening,

in the black and dark night.

10 (Ge 38:14-15; 1Ti 2:9) And there a woman met him,

with the attire of a harlot, and subtle of heart.

11 (Pr 9:13; Titus 2:5) She is loud and stubborn;

her feet do not abide in her house.

12 (Pr 23:28; 9:14) Now she is without, now in the streets,

and lies in wait at every corner.

13 (Ge 39:12) So she caught him, and kissed him;

and with an impudent face said to him:

14 (Lev 7:11) "I have peace offerings with me;

this day have I paid my vows.

15 Therefore I came out to meet you,

diligently to seek your face, and I have found you.

16 (Isa 19:9; Eze 27:7) I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry,

with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.

17 (Ps 45:8) I have perfumed my bed

with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning;

let us solace ourselves with love.

19 (Mt 20:11) For my husband is not at home;

he has gone on a long journey;

20 he has taken a bag of money with him,

and will come home at the day appointed."

21 (Pr 5:3; Ps 12:2) With her enticing speech she caused him to yield,

with the flattering of her lips she seduced him.

22 He went after her straightway,

as an ox goes to the slaughter,

or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,

23 (Ecc 9:12) until a dart struck through his liver.

As a bird hastens to the snare,

he did not know that it would cost him his life.

24 (Pr 5:7; 4:1) Listen to me now therefore, O children,

and attend to the words of my mouth:

25 (Pr 5:8 ) do not let your heart turn aside to her ways,

do not go astray in her paths;

26 (Ne 13:26) for she has cast down many wounded,

and many strong men have been slain by her.

27 (Pr 5:5; 9:18) Her house is the way to Sheol,

going down to the chambers of death.

Proverbs 7

1 My son, keep my words,

And lay up my commandments with thee.

2 Keep my commandments, and live;

And my law as the apple of thine eye.

3 Bind them upon thy fingers,

Write them upon the table of thine heart.

4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister;

And call understanding thy kinswoman:

5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman,

From the stranger which flattereth with her words.

6 For at the window of my house

I looked through my casement,

7 And beheld among the simple ones,

I discerned among the youths,

A young man void of understanding,

8 Passing through the street near her corner;

And he went the way to her house,

9 In the twilight, in the evening,

In the black and dark night:

10 And, behold, there met him a woman

With the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

11 (She is loud and stubborn;

Her feet abide not in her house:

12 Now is she without, now in the streets,

And lieth in wait at every corner.)

13 So she caught him, and kissed him,

And with an impudent face said unto him,

14 I have peace offerings with me;

This day have I payed my vows.

15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee,

Diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.

16 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry,

With carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.

17 I have perfumed my bed

With myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning:

Let us solace ourselves with loves.

19 For the goodman is not at home,

He is gone a long journey:

20 He hath taken a bag of money with him,

And will come home at the day appointed.

21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield,

With the flattering of her lips she forced him.

22 He goeth after her straightway,

As an ox goeth to the slaughter,

Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;

23 Till a dart strike through his liver;

As a bird hasteth to the snare,

And knoweth not that it is for his life.

24 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children,

And attend to the words of my mouth.

25 Let not thine heart decline to her ways,

Go not astray in her paths.

26 For she hath cast down many wounded:

Yea, many strong men have been slain by her.

27 Her house is the way to hell,

Going down to the chambers of death.

Entitled Turn Up the Heat

Revelation 3:14-22

The Message to Laodicea

14 (Rev 1:5; 3:7) "To the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write:

"The Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation

of God, says these things:

15 (Rev 3:1) I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot.

I wish you were cold or hot.

16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,

I will spit you out of My mouth. ( I feel that way about lukewarm water as well)

17 (Hos 12:8; Zec 11:5) For you say, 'I am rich, and have stored up goods,

and have need of nothing,' yet do not realise that you are wretched,

miserable, poor, blind, and naked.

18 (Rev 16:15; Isa 55:1; Mt 13:44) I counsel you to buy from Me gold

refined by fire, that you may be rich, and white garments,

that you may be dressed, that the shame of your nakedness

may not appear, and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

19 (Rev 2:5; Jer 31:18) "Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline.

Therefore be zealous and repent.

20 Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice

and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me.

21 (Mt 19:28; Jn 16:33) "To him who overcomes will I grant to sit with Me

on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

22 (Rev 2:7) He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit

says to the churches."

[14] And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things

saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation

of God;

[15] I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert

cold or hot.

[16] So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will

spue thee out of my mouth.

[17] Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need

of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor,

and blind, and naked:

[18] I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be

rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of

thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou

mayest see.

[19] As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and

repent.

[20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and

open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

[21] To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even

as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

[22] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the

churches.

( Laodicean churches or "Liberal" churches like The united church of Canada ,

The Presbyterians, the Congressationalists, the Methodists in North America.

Very Laodecian. Verse 20 is quoted out context. Why ? You need to understand

vv. 17-19 why the Lord is knocking on your Heart)

Temperatures where we live in Colorado can change quickly-sometimes within

a few minutes. So my husband, Dan, was curious about the temperature

differences in and around our home. As a fan of gadgets, he was excited

to unpack his latest "toy"-a thermometer showing temperature readings from

four "zones" around our house. Joking that it was a "silly" gadget, I was

surprised to find myself frequently checking the temperatures too. The

differences inside and out fascinated me.

Jesus used temperature to describe the "lukewarm" church in Laodicea, one of

the richest of the seven cities cited in the book of Revelation. A bustling

banking, clothing, and medical hub, the city was hampered by a poor water

supply, so it needed an aqueduct to carry water from a hot spring. By the

time the water arrived in Laodicea, however, it was neither hot nor cold.

The church was tepid too. Jesus said, "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of My mouth."

(Revelation 3:15-16). As Christ explained, “Those whom I love, I rebuke

and discipline. Therefore be zealous and repent” (v. 19).

Our Saviour's plea remains urgent for us too. Are you spiritually neither

hot nor cold? Accept His correction and ask Him to help you live an earnest, fired-up faith.

By: Patricia Raybon

Reflect & Pray

What’s the temperature of your faith? If your commitment

to God is lukewarm, how will you pray to seek more loving heat and zeal?

If my commitment to You cools down, Father,

send the loving heat of Your Holy Spirit to awaken and warm up my faith.

Words in Season Scripture Memory Tools

Week 4 - The Blessings of Grace Day 5 - 1 John 1:9

9 (Ps 32:5; Pr 28:13) If we confess our sins, He is faithful

and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive

us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

"If God already knows everything about me, everything I've done,

then why do I need to confess it?" Grant struggled with a common

dilemma for many Christians. Indeed, God, knew all his sin - much

better than Grant did himself. But Grant needed to confess,

not for God's benefit, but for his own. Grant needed to agree with God

that his sin was wrong, and put himself in a position to receive God's

grace in forgiveness.

1 John 1:9 make the process quit clear. We confess,

and God forgives and cleanses. Many of us, however, want to take on

God's part as well. We confess, agreeing with God that our sin is wrong.

But then we proceed to try to 'clean up our act,'bargaining with God,

promising that if he will forgive us just this once,

we won't ever to it again.

The problem is, we can never keep such a promise.

We probably will do it again, and then we are back where we started,

begging for forgiveness, and trying once more to cleanse

ourselves for our unrighteousness.

God offers freedom from such futile performance. He says, "Just confess.

Agree that you sinned. Submit yourself to me. Then I'll take over from there."

God's grace does not give us freedom to keep on sinning, of course - we need

to cooperate with the work of his Spirit in our lives and do all we can

to avoid sin. But we do not have to beg God for forgiveness - forgiveness

is offered to us freely.

We do not have to clean up out act before God will accept us; God can make

the necessary changes in our lives. When we confess, submit ourselves to God,

and allow him to work within us, he is able both to forgive us and to cleanse

us from unrighteousness.

Application

a) In what ways have I bartered with God and tried to "Clean up my act"

in order to deserve his forgiveness?

b) What is my part in confession? What is God's response?

Why it is important for me to recognize God's part in my

confession and forgiveness?

c) What spiritual truths can I see now that I could not see

when I lived in darkness?

4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland

Prov 3:9-10

9 Honour the Lord with your substance,

and with the first fruits of all your increase;

10 so your barns will be filled with plenty,

and your presses will burst out with new wine.

9 Honour the LORD with thy substance,

And with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty,

And thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

When you are Worried Over Money

Hebr 13:5-6

5 Let your lives be without love of money, and be content

with the things you have. For He has said:

"I will never leave you, nor forsake you."

6 So we may boldly say:

"The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

5 Let your conversation be without covetousness;

and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said,

I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

6 So that we may boldly say,

The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear

What man shall do unto me.

Remember God's promises when You pray

The Lord's prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

9 "Therefore pray in this manner:

Our Father who is in heaven,

hallowed be Your name.

10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;

Your will be done

on earth, as it is in heaven.

11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.

12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors.

13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Ontario has 55% of all of Canada's entire Muslim population. This means that

the whole of the Muslim world is represented somewhere in this province. Most

Muslims are understandably located along the southern border stretching

from Windsor eastward all the way up to Ottawa. Yet Muslims are constantly

resettling in more and more suburban and even small towns of Ontario. Mosques

are springing up, and where there are enough gathered, Islamic schools

are starting.

And they're not complacent, either. Many Islamic leaders are energetic in their

advancement of Islam in Canadian society. Recently in the Niagara Region,

the local mosque distributed via Canada Post as many as 50000 full-colour

Adding further

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020

Under the Keep Praying page

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month

and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days

of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that

usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,

of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be

decorated and festivals will be held.

For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the

distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of

Islam.

You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",

which means Blessed Eid!"

Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you

know, and Muslims around the world:

- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions

in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about

unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such

movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three

decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim

relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,

"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;

your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

18 Even on My menservants and maidservants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.

19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:

blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,

and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

Footnotes

discipleship movements among Muslim people.

- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for

Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a

hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under

a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the

house."

Ideas for prayer

And

Thank you for praying through the

5 Days of Prayer for Sikhs.

"My name is Kam. I'm 29 years of age, and I grew up Sikh. As a teenager,

I struggled with depression, brokenness, and addiction to

cannabis. I didn't know how to stop or how to get help.

Then a friend invited me to church. As I spent time with Christians

and heard the message of the Gospel, I experienced the

love of Jesus Christ, and it was like nothing I'd known before.

One night I had a dream where I saw Him - a figure surrounded by

light who I knew was Jesus, the light of the world.

As I began to understand the gospel message, I encountered a reassuring and

confident solution to the problem of sin. I knew that I needed a solution

to my sin problem, and I gave my life to Christ.

Slowly, God began to heal my broken heart and my addiction.

Nine years have passed, and I am a devoted husband and a father

to two beautiful boys. I grow deeper in love with Jesus each day.

I ask you to continue praying with me, and others around the world, for Sikhs.

God is the only one who can draw people to Himself. He works in and through

the prayers of His people. I want Sikhs to know the freedom

and healing that is only available through Jesus Christ."

13 (Ro 14:17; 12:12) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy

and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope,

through the power of the Holy Spirit.

ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
