Day 132, 12 May 2022

1)Psalm 103,108-110,122,124

PSALMS 103

A Psalm of David.

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul,

and all that is within me, bless His holy name.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Bless the Lord, O my soul,

and forget not all His benefits,

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) who forgives all your iniquities,

who heals all your diseases,

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) who redeems your life from the pit,

who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) who satisfies your mouth with good things,

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) The Lord does righteousness

and justice for all who are oppressed.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) He made known His ways to Moses,

His acts to the people of Israel.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) The Lord is merciful and gracious,

slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) He will not always accuse,

neither will He keep his anger forever.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) He does not treat us according to our sins,

nor repay us according to our iniquities.

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) For as the heavens are high above the earth,

so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;

12 as far as the east is from the west,

so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

13 Like a father shows compassion to his children,

so the Lord gives compassion to those who fear Him.

14 For He knows how we are formed;

He remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are as grass;

as a flower of the field he flourishes.

16 For the hot wind passes over it, and it is gone;

the place where it was is not known.

17 But the mercy of the Lord

is from everlasting to everlasting

upon those who fear Him,

and His righteousness to children's children,

18 to those who keep His covenant,

and to those who remember to do His commandments.

19 The Lord has established His throne in the heavens,

and His kingdom rules over all.

20 Bless the Lord, you His angels,

who are mighty, and do His commands,

and obey the voice of His word.

21 Bless the Lord, all you His hosts;

you servants who do His pleasure.

22 Bless the Lord, all His works,

in all places of His dominion.

Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Psalms 103

[1] Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy

name.

[2] Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

[3] Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

[4] Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with

lovingkindness and tender mercies;

[5] Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed

like the eagle's.

[6] The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are

oppressed.

[7] He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

[8] The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in

mercy.

[9] He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

[10] He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to

our iniquities.

[11] For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward

them that fear him.

[12] As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our

transgressions from us.

[13] Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that

fear him.

[14] For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

[15] As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he

flourisheth.

[16] For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof

shall know it no more.

[17] But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them

that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

[18] To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his

commandments to do them.

[19] The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom

ruleth over all.

[20] Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his

commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

[21] Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his

pleasure.

[22] Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the

LORD, O my soul.

Psalms 108

Ps 57:7-11; 60:5-12

A Song. A Psalm of David.

1 O God, my heart is determined;

I will sing and give praise with my whole heart.

2 Ps 63:1; 84:2 Awake, O lyre and harp!

I will awake at dawn!

3 Ps 79:10; 80:5 I will praise you, O Lord, among the peoples,

and I will sing praises unto You among the nations.

4 Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8 For Your mercy is great above the heavens;

Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

5 Ps 42:11; 43:5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,

may Your glory be above all the earth.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9 ) That Your beloved ones may be delivered,

provide salvation with Your right hand and answer me.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) God has spoken in His sanctuary:

"I will triumph and will divide up Shechem

and portion out the Valley of Sukkoth.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine;

Ephraim is My helmet;

Judah is My royal scepter;

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) Moab is My washbasin;

on Edom I throw My shoe;

over Philistia I shout in triumph."

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) Who will bring me into the fortified city?

Who will lead me into Edom?

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Have You not rejected us, O God?

You surely do not go out, O God, with our armies.

12 Grant us help against the foe,

for the help of man is worthless.

13 Through God we shall be valiant,

for He shall tread down our enemies.

Psalms 108

[1] O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my

glory.

[2] Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

[3] I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises

unto thee among the nations.

[4] For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto

the clouds.

[5] Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the

earth;

[6] That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer

me.

[7] God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem,

and mete out the valley of Succoth.

[8] Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine

head; Judah is my lawgiver;

[9] Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia

will I triumph.

[10] Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

[11] Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God,

go forth with our hosts?

[12] Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

[13] Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down

our enemies.

Psalms 109

For the Music Director. A Psalm of David.

1 Do not remain silent,

O God of my praise!

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) For the mouth of the wicked and deceitful

are opened against me;

they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) They encircled me with words of hatred

and fought against me without cause.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) In return for my love they are my adversaries,

but I give myself to prayer.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) They have rewarded me evil for good

and hatred for my love.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Set a wicked man against him,

and let an accuser stand at his right hand.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3 ) When he shall be judged, let him be condemned,

and let his prayer be reckoned as sin.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Let his days be few,

and let another take his office.

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) Let his children be fatherless

and his wife a widow.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) Let his children be wandering beggars;

let them seek their bread far from their desolate places.

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Let the creditor seize all that he has;

let the strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.

12 Let there be none to extend mercy unto him,

neither let there be any to pity his fatherless children.

13 Let his posterity be cut off,

and in the generation following let his name be blotted out.

14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the Lord,

and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

15 Let them be before the Lord continually,

that the Lord may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

16 For he did not remember to show kindness,

but pursued the poor and needy and broken-hearted

to their death.

17 As he loved cursing,

so let it come over him;

as he did not delight in blessing,

so let it be far from him.

18 As he clothed himself with cursing like a garment,

so let it soak into him like water,

and like oil into his bones.

19 Let it be unto him as the garment that covers him,

and a belt that he continually wears.

20 Let this be the reward of my adversaries from the Lord,

and of those who speak evil against my soul.

21 But You, O God my Lord,

work on my behalf for your name’s sake;

because your mercy is good, deliver me.

22 For I am poor and needy,

and my heart is wounded within me.

23 I am gone like a shadow in the evening;

I am tossed as the locust.

24 My knees are weak through fasting,

and my body is thin with no fat.

25 I am a reproach to my accusers;

when they look upon me, they shake their heads.

26 Help me, O Lord my God!

Save me according to Your mercy,

27 that they may know that this is by Your hand,

that You, O Lord, have done it.

28 Let them curse, but You will bless;

when they arise, let them be ashamed,

but let Your servant rejoice.

29 Let my adversaries be clothed with shame,

and let them cover themselves with their own disgrace like a cloak.

30 I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth;

indeed, I will praise Him among the multitude.

31 For He stands at the right hand of the poor,

to save him from those who condemn his soul to death.

Psalms 109

[1] Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

[2] For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened

against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

[3] They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me

without a cause.

[4] For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

[5] And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

[6] Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

[7] When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become

sin.

[8] Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

[9] Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

[10] Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their

bread also out of their desolate places.

[11] Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil

his labour.

[12] Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to

favour his fatherless children.

[13] Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their

name be blotted out.

[14] Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let

not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

[15] Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory

of them from the earth.

[16] Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor

and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

[17] As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in

blessing, so let it be far from him.

[18] As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it

come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

[19] Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle

wherewith he is girded continually.

[20] Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them

that speak evil against my soul.

[21] But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy

mercy is good, deliver thou me.

[22] For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

[23] I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as

the locust.

[24] My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

[25] I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they

shaked their heads.

[26] Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

[27] That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done

it.

[28] Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed;

but let thy servant rejoice.

[29] Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover

themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

[30] I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him

among the multitude.

[31] For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from

those that condemn his soul.

Psalms 110

A Psalm of David.

1 The Lord said to my lord,

"Sit at My right hand,

until I make your enemies

your footstool."

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) The Lord shall send your mighty scepter out of Zion;

rule in the midst of your enemies.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Your people will follow you

in the day of your battle;

on the holy mountains

at dawn of the morning,

the dew of your youth belongs to you.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) The Lord has sworn

and will not change,

"You are a priest forever

after the order of Melchizedek."

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) The Lord is at your right hand;

He shall strike down kings in the day of His wrath.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) He shall judge among the nations;

He shall fill them with dead bodies;

He shall scatter heads all over the land.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) He shall drink of the brook in the path;

then He shall lift up the head.

Psalms 109

PSALMS 122

A Song of Ascents. Of David.

1 I was glad when they said to me,

"Let us go into the house of the Lord."

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Our feet shall stand

within your gates, O Jerusalem.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Jerusalem is built as a city

that is designed for a multitude,

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8 )where the tribes go up,

the tribes of the Lord,

as a decree of Israel,

to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) There are set thrones of judgment,

the thrones of the house of David.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

"May they prosper who love you!

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) Peace be within your walls

and security within your towers!"

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) For my brothers and companions' sake,

I will now say, "Peace be within you."

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) Because of the house of the Lord our God,

I will seek your good.

Psalms 122

[1] I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

[2] Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

[3] Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:

[4] Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of

Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.

[5] For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of

David.

[6] Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

[7] Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

[8] For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within

thee.

[9] Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.

PSALMS 124

A Song of Ascents. Of David.

1 If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,

now may Israel say,

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) if it had not been the Lord who was on our side,

when men rose up against us,

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) then they would have swallowed us up,

when their wrath was kindled againstus;

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) then the flood would have overwhelmedus,

the torrent would have passed over our lives;

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) then the surging waters

would have gone over us.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Blessed be the Lord,

who has not given us for a prey to their teeth.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) We have escaped

as a bird out of the snare of the hunters;

the snare is broken,

and we have escaped.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Our help is in the name of the Lord,

who made heaven and earth.

Psalms 124

[1] If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;

[2] If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up

against us:

[3] Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled

against us:

[4] Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

[5] Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

[6] Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

[7] Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare

is broken, and we are escaped.

[8] Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Isaiah 48:12-20

Paul's Anxiety in Troas

The Lord's Call to Israel

12 (Isa 41:4; Rev 22:13) Listen to Me, O Jacob

and Israel, whom I called:

I am He;

I am the First, and I am the Last.

13 (Isa 40:26; Ex 20:11) My hand also has laid the foundation of the earth,

and My right hand has spanned the heavens;

when I call to them,

they stand up together.

14 (Isa 43:9; 13:4-5) Assemble, all of you, and listen.

Who among them has declared these things?

The Lord has loved him;

he will do His pleasure on Babylon,

and His arm shall be against the Chaldeans.

15 I, even I, have spoken,

and I have called him;

I have brought him,

and his way will prosper.

16 (Isa 45:19) Come near to Me, hear this:

I have not spoken in secret from the beginning;

from the time that it was, there I am.

And now the Lord God has sent me

and His Spirit.

17 (Ps 32:8; Isa 43:14) Thus says the Lord,

your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:

I am the Lord your God,

who teaches you to profit,

who leads you in the way you should go.

18 (Dt 32:29; Isa 66:12) Oh, that you had listened to My commandments!

Then your peace would have been as a river

and your righteousness as the waves of the sea.

19 (Ge 22:17; Isa 10:22) Your descendants also would have been as the sand

and your offspring like grains of sand;

their name would not have been cut off

nor destroyed from before Me.

20 (Isa 52:9; Jer 50:8; 51:6) Go forth from Babylon!

Flee from the Chaldeans!

With a voice of singing declare,

proclaim this,

utter it even to the ends of the earth;

say, "The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob."

12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first,

I also am the last.

13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand

hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

14 All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared

these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon,

and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.

15 I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him,

and he shall make his way prosperous.

16 Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from

the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD,

and his Spirit, hath sent me.

17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD

thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that

thou shouldest go.

18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been

as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

19 thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels

like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor

destroyed from before me.

20 Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice

of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the

earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.

In 1799, twelve-year-old Conrad Reed found a large, glittering rock

in the stream that ran through his family's small farm in North Carolina.

He carried it home to show his father, a poor immigrant farmer. His father

didn't understand the rock's potential value and used it as a doorstop.

The family walked by it for years.

Eventually Conrad's rock—actually a seventeen-pound gold nugget-caught

the eye of a local jeweler. Soon the Reed family became wealthy, and

their property became the site of the first major gold strike

in the United States.

Sometimes we walk past a blessing, intent on our own plans and ways.

After Israel was exiled to Babylon for disobeying God, He proclaimed

freedom for them once again. But He also reminded them of what they'd

missed. "I am the Lord your God," He told them, "who teaches you what

is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.

If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have

been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea." God then

encouraged them to follow Him away from old ways into a new life: "Leave

Babylon . . . ! Announce this with shouts of joy” (Isaiah 48:17-18, 20).

Leaving Babylon, perhaps now as much as then, means leaving sinful ways

and "coming home" to a God who longs to do us good-if only we'll obey

and follow Him!

Week 2 - Saved by Grace - Day 5 - Starting Over

2 Cor 5:17

17 (Jn 3:3; Ro 16:7) Therefore, if any man is in Christ,

he is a new creature. Old things have passed away.

Look, all things have become new.

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:

old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

"The trouble with turning over a new leaf," Gordon sighed,

"is that once you've done it twice, you're right back where

you started." Gordon, in his mid-fifties, had his job

"canceled" by a company wanting to cut back on retirement payments.

Out of work, with few prospects, he said wistfully,

"I wish I had the chance to start over again."

Many of us would echo Gordon's sentiments. Whether we have lost a job,

gone through a divorce, moved to another part of the country, or

experienced some lesser crisis, we often long for the chance to

begin again, fresh, without the shadow of past mistakes following us.

God's word offers just such an opportunity. Anyone who is in Christ,

Paul says in 2 Cor 5:17, is a "new creation". For the Christian, the past

is truly past - "all things are become new". In the forgiveness

and restoration of God's grace we can leave the past behind,

with all its mistakes, and enter into new life.

And the promise is not just for the newly saved. Those of us who

have been Christians for years need to hear the truth of 2 Cor 5:17 again,

for we accumulated some "new mistakes" since we came to Christ. Anyone who

is in Christ is a new creation; the freedom of forgiveness, of

"starting over" is available to all who call upon the name of the Lord.

We cannot every really "start over" simply by establishing New Year's

resolutions or turning over a new leaf. Only God gives us that opportunity;

his grace allows us to clear away the rubble of the past and begin again.

Everything becomes new in God's loving forgiveness.

Application

a) What "resolutions" have I made in an attempt to "start over"

in some area of struggle or failure in my life? Did my resolutions work?

b) What does 2 Cor 5:17 mean for me at this point in my Christian Life?

4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland

Deut 29:9

9 (Dt 4:6; Jos 1:7)Therefore, keep the words of this covenant

and do them, so that you may prosper in all you do.

9 Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them,

that ye may prosper in all that ye do.

5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

When you are ill or injured

Psalm 103:1-5

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul:

And all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,

And forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities;

Who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;

Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things;

So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Remember God's promises when You pray

The Lord's prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

9 "Therefore pray in this manner:

Our Father who is in heaven,

hallowed be Your name.

10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;

Your will be done

on earth, as it is in heaven.

11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.

12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors.

13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Ontario

Quick facts on Muslims in Ontario

Ontario 2015 population 13 687 7000

est Muslim Population 1 001 542

CNMM Networks: Ottawa, Durham, York, Toronto, Mississauga, Halton, Hamilton,

Niagara, Kitchener, London, Windsor

Ontario has 55% of all of Canada's entire Muslim population. This means that

the whole of the Muslim world is represented somewhere in this province. Most

Muslims are understandably located along the southern border stretching

from Windsor eastward all the way up to Ottawa. Yet Muslims are constantly

resettling in more and more suburban and even small towns of Ontario. Mosques

are springing up, and where there are enough gathered, Islamic schools

are starting.

And they're not complacent, either. Many Islamic leaders are energetic in their

advancement of Islam in Canadian society. Recently in the Niagara Region,

the local mosque distributed via Canada Post as many as 50000 full-colour

brochures on Islam. An that mosque's Facebook page proudly show pictures of

"reverts", or white Canadians who have converted to Islam as a result of

receiving the flier and engaging with the mosque community. Another town

reports Muslims going door-to-door evangelism.

Agree in prayer for:

- net network leaders - the need is great

- the development of network leadership teams

- good connections with local pastors, congregations and individuals

whom God is calling into this ministry.

- wisdom facilitating outreach and training activities for mobilising

believers

- new full and part-time workers among Muslims throughout all these areas

- for pastors and churches to respond not in fear, but full of faith and love

towards Muslims, sharing Jesus with them.

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020

Under the Keep Praying page

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month

and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days

of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that

usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,

of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be

decorated and festivals will be held.

For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the

distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of

Islam.

You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",

which means Blessed Eid!"

Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you

know, and Muslims around the world:

- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions

in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about

unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such

movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three

decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim

relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,

"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;

your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

18 Even on My menservants and maidservants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.

19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:

blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,

and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

Footnotes

Acts 2:21 Joel 2:28-32.

- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective

discipleship movements among Muslim people.

- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for

Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a

hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under

a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the

house."

Ideas for prayer

- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you

- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving

Christ among Muslim people -

Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."

- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims

throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

And

Thank you for praying through the

5 Days of Prayer for Sikhs.

"My name is Kam. I'm 29 years of age, and I grew up Sikh. As a teenager,

I struggled with depression, brokenness, and addiction to

cannabis. I didn't know how to stop or how to get help.

Then a friend invited me to church. As I spent time with Christians

and heard the message of the Gospel, I experienced the

love of Jesus Christ, and it was like nothing I'd known before.

One night I had a dream where I saw Him - a figure surrounded by

light who I knew was Jesus, the light of the world.

As I began to understand the gospel message, I encountered a reassuring and

confident solution to the problem of sin. I knew that I needed a solution

to my sin problem, and I gave my life to Christ.

Slowly, God began to heal my broken heart and my addiction.

Nine years have passed, and I am a devoted husband and a father

to two beautiful boys. I grow deeper in love with Jesus each day.

I ask you to continue praying with me, and others around the world, for Sikhs.

God is the only one who can draw people to Himself. He works in and through

the prayers of His people. I want Sikhs to know the freedom

and healing that is only available through Jesus Christ."

13 (Ro 14:17; 12:12) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy

and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope,

through the power of the Holy Spirit.

[13] Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that

ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
