1 O Lord, our Lord,
how excellent is Your name in all the earth!

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have ordained strength
because of Your enemies,
to silence the enemy and the avenger.
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) When I consider Your heavens,
the work of Your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which You have established,
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) what is man that You are mindful of him,
and the son of man that You attend to him?
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) You have given him dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field,
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) the birds of the air,
and the fish of the sea,
and whatever travels the paths of the seas.
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) O Lord, our Lord,
how excellent is Your name in all the earth!
PSALMS 9
For the Music Director. To the melody of "The Death of the Son."

1 I will give thanks to You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will declare all Your marvelous works.
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) I will be glad and rejoice in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) When my enemies are turned back,
they will stumble and perish at Your presence.
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) For You have maintained my right and my cause;
You sat on the throne judging what is right.
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) You have rebuked the nations,
You have destroyed the wicked,
You have wiped out their name forever and ever.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) O you enemy, destructions
have come to you for a perpetual end.
You have destroyed cities;
their memory perished with them.
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) But the Lord remains forever;
He has established His throne for judgment.
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) He will judge the world in righteousness;
He will give judgment to the peoples in uprightness.
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble.
10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) Those who know Your name will put their trust in You,
for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Sing praises to the Lord who dwells in Zion;
declare His deeds among the people.
12 He who avenges deaths remembers them;
He does not forget the cry of the humble.
13 Be gracious to me, O Lord; consider my trouble from those who hate me,
O You who lifts me up from the gates of death,
14 that I may recount all Your praise
in the gates of the daughter of Zion,
that I may rejoice in Your salvation.
15 The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made;
their own foot is caught in the net which they hid.
16 The Lord is known by the judgment that He executes;
the wicked one is snared in the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah
17 The wicked will be turned to Sheol,
and all the nations that forget God.
18 For the needy will not always be forgotten,
nor will the hope of the poor perish forever.
19 Arise, O Lord, may mortals not prevail;
let the nations be judged in Your sight.
20 Put them in fear, O Lord,
that the nations themselves may know they are mortals. Selah
PSALMS 10
1 Why do You stand far off, O Lord?
Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) In arrogance the wicked persecutes the poor;
let them be caught in the devices they have planned.
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) For the wicked boasts of his soul’s desire;
he blesses the greedy and despises the Lord.
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) The wicked, through the pride of his countenance,
will not seek God;
God is not in all his thoughts.
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) His ways are always prosperous;
Your judgments are high and distant from him;
as for all his enemies, they scoff at him.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) He says in his heart, "I shall not be moved;
for generations I shall not meet adversity."
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) His mouth is filled with cursing
and deceit and oppression;
under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) He sits in the lurking places of the villages;
in the secret places he murders the innocent;
his eyes lurk against the unfortunate.
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) He lies in wait secretly as a lion in his den;
he lies in wait to catch the poor;
he catches the poor, drawing them into his net.
10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) He crouches; he lies low,
so that the unfortunate fall by his strength.
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) He says in his heart, "God has forgotten;
He hides His face; He will never see it."
12 Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand!
Do not forget the humble.
13 Why do the wicked despise God?
He says in his heart,
"You will require an account."
14 You have seen it, for You observe trouble and grief,
to repay it with Your hand.
The unfortunate one entrusts it to You;
You are the helper of the orphan.
15 Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man;
seek out his wickedness
until You find none.
16 The Lord is King forever and ever;
the nations perished from His land.
17 The desire of the humble You have heard, O Lord;
You make their heart attentive; You bend Your ear
18 to judge the orphan and the oppressed;
man on earth no longer trembles.

they are the majestic ones; in them is all my delight.

their sorrows will be multiplied;
their drink offerings of blood I will not offer,
nor lift their names on my lips.

You support my lot.

in Your presence is fullness of joy;
at Your right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

and night unto night declares knowledge.
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) There is no speech and there are no words;
their voice is not heard.
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Their line has gone out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them has He set a tent for the sun,
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber;
it rejoices as a strong man to run a race.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Its going forth is from one end of the heavens,
and its circuit extends to the other end,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple;
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) the statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes;
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) the fear of the Lord is clean,
enduring forever;
the judgments of the Lord are true
and righteous altogether.
10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) More to be desired are they than gold,
yes, than much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Moreover by them is Your servant warned,
and by keeping them comes great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be upright
and innocent from great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

entitled The God of All Comfort
2 Corinthians 1:3–7
Paul's Thanksgiving After Affliction
3 (Eph 1:3; 1Pe 1:3; Ro 15:5-6) Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord
- Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort,
4 (Isa 51:12; 2Co 7:6-7) who comforts us in all our tribulation,
that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble
by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
5 (Col 1:24; Php 3:10) As the sufferings of Christ abound in us,
so our consolation also abounds through Christ.
6 (2Ti 2:10) If we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation,
which is effective in enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer.
Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
7 Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that as you partake
in the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.
Radamenes was just a kitten when his owner dropped him off
at an animal shelter, thinking he was too ill to recover.
The kitten was nursed back to health and adopted by the vet.
He then became a fulltime resident at the shelter and now spends his days
"comforting" cats and dogs-just out of surgery or recovering from an illness
- through his warm presence and gentle purr.
That story is a small picture of what our loving God does for us-and what
we can do for others in return. He cares for us in our sickness and struggles,
and He soothes us with His presence. The apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians calls
our God, "the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort" (1:3).
When we are discouraged, depressed, or mistreated, He's there for us.
When we turn to Him in prayer, He "comforts us in all our troubles" (v. 4).
But verse 4 doesn't end there. Paul, who had experienced intense suffering,
continues, "so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort
we ourselves receive from God." Our Father comforts us, and when we've
experienced His comfort, we're enabled to comfort others.
Our compassionate Savior, who suffered for us, is more than able to comfort
us in our suffering and distress (v. 5). He helps us through our pain
and equips us to do the same for others.

Reflect & Pray
When have you experienced God's comfort during a difficult time?
When have you offered God’s comfort to others?
Dear God, thank You for Your comforting presence in my pain and sorrow.
Help me in turn to be a comfort to others.

Week 3 - Saved Now and Forever - Day 5 - God Loved, So He Gave
John 3:16-17
16 (Ro 5:8; 1Jn 4:9–10; Jn 1:18) "For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in
Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
17 (1Jn 4:14; Lk 19:10) For God did not send His Son into
the world to condemn the world, but that the world
through Him might be saved."
Often called "the gospel in a nutshell", John 3:16 is so familiar,
even the unchurched, that it has all but lost its impact for us.
WE cite it by rote, as if it had no more meaning than a SSN (SIN),
and think that we understand the truth becuase we know the words.
Why did God send Jesus, his only Son, into the world to die?
Because he loved the people he created. God had no reason,
humanly speaking, to love mankind. Throughout history, from
the Garden of Eden forward, people had deliberately turned
against God and tried his patience. Even the nation God chose
for himself, Israel rebelled againt the Lord and turned to other gods.
And we, as individuals, have rebelled against him too. WE have tried
to control our own lives; we have denied his reality; or
acknowledged his existence and then systematically ignored him.
We have become our own gods.
Yet Christ, in love, took upon himself the rejection, the humiliation,
the pain we were responsible for. We deserved to be condemned to die,
but he died for us instead. "God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world," John 3:17 says, "but to save the world through him."
Often, even after we have committed our lives to Christ, we mistakenly
suppose that God's primary purpose is to condemn us - to catch us in sin
and punish us. But God says that his purpose is to love us and to save us
from sin and ourselves. He loved, and so he gave; he still loves us,
and he still continues to give.
Application
a) What sin in my life put Jesus on the cross?
b) How do I know that my sins has been forgiven?
c) How can these verses help me when I face condemnation and guilt?
4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland
Genesis 30:43
The man became exceedingly prosperous and had many sheep
and female servants and male servants and camels and donkeys.
5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:
When you are anxious
Phil 4:4-7
4 (Php 3:1; Ro 12:12 Rejoice in the Lord always.
Again I will say, rejoice!
5 (Jas 5:8-9) Let everyone come to know your gentleness.
The Lord is at hand.
6 (Eph 6:18; Mt 6:25-33) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything,
by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known
to God.
7 (Jn 14:27; Col 3:15; Isa 26:3) And the peace of God, which surpasses
all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
The Lord's prayer
Matthew 6:9-13
9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.
12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

Manitoba
Quick facts on Muslims in Manitoba
Saskatchewan 2015 population 1 282 000
est Muslim Population 21 349
CNMM Networks: Winnipeg
The Muslim population of Manitoba, understandably centred in Winnipeg, is very
diverse and represents some 48 different cultural and ethinic backgrounds.
Conservative estimates put their number at 21000 , with some suggesting
it might be twice that size.
Some outreach among Muslims has started, yet in comparison to the size
of this community, there is the need and opportunity for far more engagement.
Continued influx of new immigrants and refugees continues to see the growth
of this Muslim centre in Manitoba.
We rejoice in the Arabic fellowship meeting there and the energetic workers
among Muslims in Winnipeg.
Let us intercede in unity for:
- new Christian workers among Manitoba's growing Muslim population
- new church ministries focused on prayer, equipping and reaching Muslim
communities around them, as well as training new workers
- the Arabic fellowship and their ministries of discipiling new Muslim
background believers and for effectiveness in outreach
- for the recent Somali woman who found faith in Jesus and stood her ground
in the face of opposition to her new faith.
- for current workers among Muslims to be blessed, refreshed and encouraged
with great support

30 DAYS IN THE TRIANGLE
HUNDREDS PRAY FOR MUSLIM NEIGHBORS IN RALEIGH, DURHAM, AND CHAPEL HILL
David Garrison’s book, A Wind in the House of Islam, provided the inspiration.
The 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World booklet provided the game plan.
It all started with a few families praying that the Holy Spirit would help
them reach their Muslim neighbors, but it soon grew into an effort involving
more than 600 Christians from 45 local churches in the Triangle,
a three-city region known for both high-tech and higher-education.
Garrison found that prayer movements like 30 Days have coincided
with church planting movements all over the world. The Christians in
the Triangle believed God could help them reach the Triangle-s 40,000-plus
Muslims, just as He had helped Christian believers elsewhere reach Muslims
across the world.
It started years ago with a few families. By 2016, there were 100 believers
from three churches in the area. Now, 600+ Christian pray together every
day during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, using 30 Days as their guide.
Many of these praying Christians have sought opportunities to befriend
Muslims at work or in their neighborhoods. A handful of Muslims have become
followers of Jesus, including a new believer named E. R. She couldn't find a Bible
to read in Iraq, but after a few years in the U.S., she was given an Arabic-language
Bible by one of the 30 Days participants.
In 2019, two participating families decided to devote themselves fulltime
o the Triangle prayer effort. The families are now training with Global
Gates and hope to start evangelism and church planting among local Muslims in 2021.
Please pray for:
-Prayer movements in the Triangle and around the world.
-Churches and Christians who reach out to their Muslim neighbors.
-Those who "go into all the world
and preach the gospel to all creation" (Mark 16:15).
Mark 16:15

'He said to them, "Go into all the world,
and preach the gospel to every creature."
- Muslims to come to faith in the Triangle and be discipled to take
the gospel message back to their home countries (Mark 5:20).

PSALMS 8
For the Music Director. According to The Gittith. A Psalm of David.
1 O Lord, our Lord,
how excellent is Your name in all the earth!
You have set Your glory
above the heavens.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) You have given him dominion over the works of Your hands;
A Psalm of David.
1 I will give thanks to You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will declare all Your marvelous works.
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) I will be glad and rejoice in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) When my enemies are turned back,
they will stumble and perish at Your presence.
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) For You have maintained my right and my cause;
You have destroyed cities;
their memory perished with them.
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) But the Lord remains forever;
He has established His throne for judgment.
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) He will judge the world in righteousness;
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Sing praises to the Lord who dwells in Zion;
declare His deeds among the people.
12 He who avenges deaths remembers them;
He does not forget the cry of the humble.
13 Be gracious to me, O Lord; consider my trouble from those who hate me,
O You who lifts me up from the gates of death,
14 that I may recount all Your praise
in the gates of the daughter of Zion,
that I may rejoice in Your salvation.
15 The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made;
their own foot is caught in the net which they hid.
16 The Lord is known by the judgment that He executes;
the wicked one is snared in the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah
17 The wicked will be turned to Sheol,
and all the nations that forget God.
18 For the needy will not always be forgotten,
nor will the hope of the poor perish forever.
19 Arise, O Lord, may mortals not prevail;
let the nations be judged in Your sight.
20 Put them in fear, O Lord,
that the nations themselves may know they are mortals. Selah
PSALMS 10
1 Why do You stand far off, O Lord?
Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) In arrogance the wicked persecutes the poor;
let them be caught in the devices they have planned.
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) For the wicked boasts of his soul’s desire;
he blesses the greedy and despises the Lord.
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) The wicked, through the pride of his countenance,
will not seek God;
God is not in all his thoughts.
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) His ways are always prosperous;
Your judgments are high and distant from him;
as for all his enemies, they scoff at him.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) He says in his heart, "I shall not be moved;
for generations I shall not meet adversity."
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) His mouth is filled with cursing
and deceit and oppression;
under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) He sits in the lurking places of the villages;
in the secret places he murders the innocent;
his eyes lurk against the unfortunate.
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) He lies in wait secretly as a lion in his den;
he lies in wait to catch the poor;
he catches the poor, drawing them into his net.
10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) He crouches; he lies low,
so that the unfortunate fall by his strength.
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) He says in his heart, "God has forgotten;
The unfortunate one entrusts it to You;
You are the helper of the orphan.
15 Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man;
seek out his wickedness
until You find none.
16 The Lord is King forever and ever;
the nations perished from His land.
17 The desire of the humble You have heard, O Lord;
You make their heart attentive; You bend Your ear
18 to judge the orphan and the oppressed;
man on earth no longer trembles.

they are the majestic ones; in them is all my delight.

their sorrows will be multiplied;
their drink offerings of blood I will not offer,
nor lift their names on my lips.

You support my lot.

I will not be moved.
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
my flesh also will rest in security.
10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17 ) For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
nor will You suffer Your godly one to see corruption.
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) You will make known to me the path of life;
in Your presence is fullness of joy;
at Your right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
PSALMS 19
For the Music Director. A Psalm of David.
1 The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the firmament shows His handiwork.
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Day unto day utters speech,
and night unto night declares knowledge.
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) There is no speech and there are no words;
their voice is not heard.
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Their line has gone out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them has He set a tent for the sun,
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber;
it rejoices as a strong man to run a race.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Its going forth is from one end of the heavens,
and its circuit extends to the other end,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple;
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) the statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes;
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) the fear of the Lord is clean,
enduring forever;
the judgments of the Lord are true
and righteous altogether.
10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) More to be desired are they than gold,
yes, than much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Moreover by them is Your servant warned,
and by keeping them comes great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be upright
and innocent from great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

and their descendants from among the children of men.
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) For they intended evil against You;

entitled The God of All Comfort

He loved, and so he gave; he still loves us,
and he still continues to give.

b) How do I know that my sins has been forgiven?
c) How can these verses help me when I face condemnation and guilt?

5 (Jas 5:8-9) Let everyone come to know your gentleness.
The Lord is at hand.
6 (Eph 6:18; Mt 6:25-33) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything,
by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known
to God.
7 (Jn 14:27; Col 3:15; Isa 26:3) And the peace of God, which surpasses
all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
