1) Job 21-24
Job 21
Job Replies: The Wicked Do Prosper
1 But Job answered:
2 "Listen carefully to my speech,
and let this be your consolation.
3 (Job 16:10; 17:2) Bear with me that I may speak,
and after I have spoken, mock on.
4 "As for me, is my complaint against man?
And if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?
5 (Jdg 18:19; Job 29:9) Look at me and be astonished,
and put your hand over your mouth.
6 Even when I remember I am afraid,
and trembling takes hold of my body.
7 (Job 12:6; Ps 37:35) Why do the wicked live and become old;
yes, become mighty in power?
8 Their descendants are established with them in their sight,
and their offspring before their eyes.
9 (Job 9:34; Ps 73:5) Their houses are safe from fear,
nor is the rod of God upon them.
10 (Ex 23:26) Their bull breeds without failure;
their cow gives calves without miscarriage.
11 They send forth their little ones like a flock,
and their children dance.
12 (Ge 4:21) They take up the tambourine and harp
and rejoice at the sound of the flute.
13 (Job 36:11) They spend their days in wealth,
and in a moment go down to Sheol.
14 (Job 22:17; Pr 1:29) Therefore they say to God, 'Depart from us,
for we do not desire the knowledge of Your ways.

And what profit do we have if we pray to Him?'

The counsel of the wicked is far from me.
17 (Job 18:5–6) “How often is the lamp of the wicked put out?
How often does their destruction come upon them,
the sorrows God distributes in His anger?
18 (Job 13:25; Ps 1:4) They are like straw before the wind,
and like chaff that a storm carries away.
19 (Ex 20:5) God stores up their iniquity for their children;
let Him reward the people themselves, and they will know it.
20 (Isa 51:17; Rev 14:10) Let their eyes see their own destruction,
and let them drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
21 (Job 14:5) For what do they care about their households after them,
when the number of their months is cut off?
22 (Ro 11:34; Isa 40:13-14) 'Can anyone teach God knowledge,
since He judges those who are on high?
23 One dies in his full strength,
being wholly at ease and secure.
24 (Pr 3:8) His pails are full of milk,
and the marrow of his bones is moist.

And who will repay him for what he has done?
32 Yet will he be brought to the grave

Job's Reply
1 But Job answered and said,
2 Hear diligently my speech,
And let this be your consolations.
3 Suffer me that I may speak;
And after that I have spoken, mock on.
4 As for me, is my complaint to man?
And if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?
5 Mark me, and be astonished,
And lay your hand upon your mouth.
6 Even when I remember I am afraid,
And trembling taketh hold on my flesh.
7 Wherefore do the wicked live,
Become old, yea, are mighty in power?
8 Their seed is established in their sight with them,
And their offspring before their eyes.
9 Their houses are safe from fear,
Neither is the rod of God upon them.
10 Their bull gendereth, and faileth not;
Their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
11 They send forth their little ones like a flock,
And their children dance.
12 They take the timbrel and harp,
And rejoice at the sound of the organ.
13 They spend their days in wealth,
And in a moment go down to the grave.
14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us;
For we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
15 What is the Almighty, that we should serve him?
And what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
16 Lo, their good is not in their hand:
The counsel of the wicked is far from me.
17 How oft is the candle of the wicked put out!
And how oft cometh their destruction upon them!
God distributeth sorrows in his anger.
18 They are as stubble before the wind,
And as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
19 God layeth up his iniquity for his children:
He rewardeth him, and he shall know it.
20 His eyes shall see his destruction,
And he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
21 For what pleasure hath he in his house after him,
When the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
22 Shall any teach God knowledge?
Seeing he judgeth those that are high.
23 One dieth in his full strength,
Being wholly at ease and quiet.
24 His breasts are full of milk,
And his bones are moistened with marrow.
25 And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul,
And never eateth with pleasure.
26 They shall lie down alike in the dust,
And the worms shall cover them.
27 Behold, I know your thoughts,
And the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.
28 For ye say, Where is the house of the prince?
And where are the dwelling places of the wicked?
29 Have ye not asked them that go by the way?
And do ye not know their tokens,
30 That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction?
They shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
31 Who shall declare his way to his face?
And who shall repay him what he hath done?
32 Yet shall he be brought to the grave,
And shall remain in the tomb.
33 The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him,
And every man shall draw after him,
As there are innumerable before him.
34 How then comfort ye me in vain,
Seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?

Job 22
Eliphaz Speaks: Job's Wickedness Is Great
1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered:
2 (Lk 17:10) "Can a man be profitable to God,
as he who is wise may be profitable to himself?
3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous?
Or is it gain to Him that you make your ways blameless?
4 (Job 14:3; Ps 143:2) "Is it because of your fear of Him that He corrects you,
and enters into judgment with you?
5 Is not your wickedness great,
and your iniquity infinite?
6 (Ex 22:26; Eze 18:16) For you have taken a pledge from your brother for nothing,
and stripped the naked of their clothing.
7 (Job 31:17; Isa 58:7) You have not given water to the weary to drink,
and you have withheld bread from the hungry.
8 (Isa 9:15) But as for the mighty man, he possessed the earth,
and the honorable man lived in it.
9 (Job 24:3; 24:21) You have sent widows away empty,
and the strength of the fatherless was crushed.
10 (Job 18:8 -10) Therefore snares are all around you,
and sudden fear troubles you,
11 (La 3:54; Ps 69:1-2) or darkness, so that you cannot see;
and an abundance of waters covers you.
12 (Job 11:8) "Is not God in the height of heaven?
And see the height of the stars, how high they are!

Can He judge through the dark cloud?

15 Will you keep to the old way,
that wicked men have trod?

their foundations were swept away by a flood.

and, 'What can the Almighty do to us?'

Job 22

13 And thou sayest, How doth God know?
Can he judge through the dark cloud?

25 Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence,
And thou shalt have plenty of silver.
26 For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty,
And shalt lift up thy face unto God.
27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee,
And thou shalt pay thy vows.
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee:
And the light shall shine upon thy ways.
29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, there is lifting up;
And he shall save the humble person.
30 He shall deliver the island of the innocent:
And it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.

Job 23
Job Replies: My Complaint Is Grievous
1 Then Job answered:
2 (Job 10:1) "Today also my complaint is bitter;
my hand is heavy because of my groaning.
3 (Job 13:3; 16:21) Oh, that I knew where I might find Him,
that I might come even to His seat!
4 (Job 13:18) I would present my case before Him
and fill my mouth with arguments.
5 I would know the words that He would answer me
and understand what He would say to me.
6 (Job 13:21) Will He plead against me with His great power?
No! But He would take note of me.
7 There the righteous might dispute with Him;
so would I be delivered forever from my Judge.
8 (Job 9:11) "Look, I go forward, but He is not there,
and backward, but I cannot perceive Him;
9 when He works on the left hand, I cannot behold Him;
He turns to the right hand, I cannot see Him.
10 (Ps 66:10; 1Pe 1:7) But He knows the way that I take;
when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
11 (Ps 44:18; 17:5) My foot has held fast to His steps;
I have kept His way and have not turned aside.
12 (Jn 4:32; 4:34) I have not departed from the commandment of His lips;
I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.
13 (Ps 115:3; Job 12:14) "But He is resolute, and who can turn Him?
And whatever His soul desires, that He does.
14 (1Th 3:3) For He performs what is appointed forme,
and many such things are with Him.
15 Therefore I am troubled at His presence;
when I consider, I am afraid of Him.
16 (Job 27:2; Ps 22:14) For God makes my heart soft,
and the Almighty troubles me;
17 (Job 19:8) because I was not cut off from the presence of darkness,
nor has He covered the darkness from my face.

3 Oh that I knew where I might find him!

4 I would order my cause before him,
And fill my mouth with arguments.
5 I would know the words which he would answer me,

No; but he would put strength in me.
7 There the righteous might dispute with him;
So should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there;

He hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:

Job 24
1 (Ac 1:7) "Since times of judgment are not kept by the Almighty,
why do they who know Him not see His days?
2(Dt 19:14; 27:17) Some remove the landmarks;
they violently take away flocks and feed on them.
3 (Dt 24:6) They drive away the donkey of the orphan;
they take the widow-s ox for a pledge.
4 (Pr 28:28; Job 24:14) They turn away the needy;
the poor of the earth are forced to hide.
5 (Job 39:5-7; Ps 104:23) Behold, as wild donkeys in the desert,
they go out to their work, rising early for a prey.
The wilderness yields food for them and for their children.
6 They gather their fodder in the field,
and they glean in the vineyard of the wicked.
7 (Ex 22:26-27; Job 22:6) They cause the naked to lodge without clothing,
and they have no covering in the cold.
8 (La 4:5) They are wet with the showers of the mountains
and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
9 They snatch the fatherless from the breast
and take a pledge from the poor.
10 They cause him to go naked without clothing,
and they take away the sheaf from the hungry.
11 They press out oil within their walls
and tread their winepresses, yet suffer thirst.
12 Men groan from outside the city,
and the soul of the wounded cries out;
yet God does not charge them with wrong.
13 (Jn 3:19-2)0 "They are those who rebel against the light;
they do not know its ways
nor abide in its paths.
14 The murderer, rising with the light, kills the poor and needy,
and in the night he is like a thief.
15 (Ps 10:11) Also the eye of the adulterer waits for the twilight,
saying, 'No eye will see me';
and he disguises his face.
16 (Jn 3:20) In the dark they break into houses,
which they had marked for themselves in the daytime;
they do not know the light.

20 (Pr 10:7; Da 4:14) The womb will forget him;

and wickedness will be broken like a tree.
21 He preys on the barren who do not bear,
and does no good for the widow.
22 But God draws the mighty away with His power;
He rises up, and no man is sure of life.
23 (Pr 15:3) He gives them security, and they rely on it;
yet His eyes are on their ways.

25 And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar,
And make my speech nothing worth?

The Day of Atonement
Lev 23:26-32; Nu 29:7-11
1 (Lev 10:1-2) The Lord spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons
of Aaron, when they drew near to the Lord and died.
2 (Ex 30:10; 1Ki 8:10-12) The Lord said to Moses: Speak to Aaron your
brother so that he does not come at any time into the Holy Place within
the veil before the mercy seat, which is on the ark, so that he will
not die, for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.
3 (Lev 4:3; 1:10) Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy Place with a young
bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.
4 (Ex 30:20; 28:39-43) He shall put on the holy linen tunic,
and he shall have the linen undergarment on his body,
and shall be girded with a linen sash, and shall be wearing
the linen turban. These are holy garments.
Therefore he shall wash his body in water and then put them on.
5 (2Ch 29:21; Nu 29:11) He shall take from the congregation of the
children of Israel two male goats for a sin offering
and one ram for a burnt offering.
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron,

brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within
the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he
die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
3 Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock
for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.
4 He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen
breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle,
and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments;
therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
5 And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel
two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.
In the wake of the coronavirus, retrieving something from my safety deposit
box required even more layers of protocol than before. Now I had to make an
appointment, call when I arrived to be granted entrance to the bank, show my
identification and signature, and then wait to be escorted into the vault by
a designated banker. Once inside, the heavy doors locked again until I'd
found what I needed inside the metal box.
Unless I followed the instructions, I wasn't able to enter.
In the Old Testament, God had specific protocols for entering part of
the tabernacle called the Most Holy Place (Exodus 26:33). Behind a special
curtain, one that "separate[d] the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place,"
only the high priest could enter once a year (Hebrews 9:7). Aaron,
and the high priests who would come after him, were to bring offerings,
bathe, and wear sacred garments before entering (Leviticus 16:3-4). God's
instructions weren't for health or security reasons; they were meant to teach
the Israelites about the holiness of God and our need for forgiveness.
At the moment of Jesus' death, that special curtain was torn (Matthew 27:51),
symbolically showing that all people who believe in His sacrifice for their
forgiveness of sin can enter God's presence. The tear in the tabernacle
curtain is reason for our unending joy-Jesus has enabled us to draw near
to God always!

Is 41:10
10 (Jos 1:9; Isa 41:13–14) Do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
yes, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Beth had the same recurring nightmare: she was running along a cliff,
then she slipped, and fell headlong, into a bottomless ravine.
Falling, without control,without end, falling, falling, falling...
Beth's dream may be one many of us identify with. The sense
of losing control can be nightmarish, and we may fear falling
without end, without remedy. Financial failure may be the chasm
that we face, or professional disgrace. Personal relationships
may go out of control, and we look into a never-ending
ravine of pain and misunderstanding
But God says, "Don't be afraid; I am holding you up."
Like the father who helps his child learn to swim,
God holds us above the water. We may not feel his hands;
indeed, we may suspect that he lets us go just so we can
do it on our own. But he promises that he doesn't let go.
"I am with you." he declares. "I give you strength
and hold you up."
God's promise never to let go takes on new meaning
in a world where relationships are temporary and life is
uncertain. We do not need to fear, for he is with us.
We can relax and stop striving, for he is our God.
His strength becomes ours; amid all our sin and rebellion,
he undergirds us with his righteousness. We cannot fall,
for he holds us firm.

2015 Population - 4631302 Muslims about 136493
British Columbia - British Columbia's Muslim Population is growing constantly.
Every week there are immigrants ad refugees coming to the Greater Vancouver
and surrounding areas. There are also significant Muslim student populations
in our colleges and universities. Some have even suggested that there are
between 4000 and 5000 Saudi Arabian students alone, without counting all
other nationalities.
Greater Vancouver has an estimated 180000 Muslims, and there are significant
and growing communities in the Fraser Valley such as in Langley, Abbotsford,
Chilliwack, etc. Including these communities the total population for this
region is about 200000.
Of these, there are an estimated 100000 Iranians, 35000 Arabs, 15000 Ismailis,
more than 20000 Afghanis, 10000 South Asian Muslims, 3000 Turks, and small
numbers from other countries such as Sudan, Somalia, Albania, etc.
We are seeing some Muslims coming to Christ and we rejoice in that.
A few people also have some ongoing ministry to Muslims in the area,
for which we also rejoice. Let us agree in that
- the church will catch a vision to pray,
and a burden to train outreach to Muslims
- the church will press in to participate in effective
discipleship of these new Muslim background believers.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

Ideas for prayer
- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!
My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further
call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in

in the sight of God our Savior,

II) Pray for the churches of the province, that they would be lighthouses

DEVOTION:
When we are free from outside noise or turbulence, this is when we can hear
the still small voice of God's Spirit as he comes to comfort and guide us
through life.
We can experience a lot of noise in our lives, and some of the noise we
experience could be blocking our ability to feel His presence in our life
and prayer time. To be calm does not mean that the storm is no longer all
around you. It just means that the storm is no longer your focus.
When we don't choose to seek God first, the bustle of life can make it
impossible for us to hear what God is trying to tell us. Yet when we
choose to seek Him first and slow down, we allow ourselves
the opportunity to rest. Then our mind and heart can focus
on the things of God and what He is telling us.
REFLECTION:
How much time do I spend being quiet,
seeking God and waiting for Him to speak to me?
What are the distractions I need to eliminate
so that I can be still and quiet?
If I want to hear God speak to me,
what am I willing to do about it?
PRAYER:
Lord, teach me to listen so that I may hear your voice and follow you
where you lead. Let me enjoy those times of quiet and enjoy being
surrounded by the Holy Spirit.
Father, help me learn to settle my mind and body so I can slow down
and be at peace. I pray that you refresh my spirit as I rest in you,
in that stillness.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Job Replies: My Complaint Is Grievous

4 (Job 13:18) I would present my case before Him

and understand what He would say to me.

No! But He would take note of me.
7 There the righteous might dispute with Him;
so would I be delivered forever from my Judge.

The Day of Atonement
Lev 23:26-32; Nu 29:7-11
1 (Lev 10:1-2) The Lord spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons
of Aaron, when they drew near to the Lord and died.
2 (Ex 30:10; 1Ki 8:10-12) The Lord said to Moses: Speak to Aaron your
brother so that he does not come at any time into the Holy Place within
the veil before the mercy seat, which is on the ark, so that he will
not die, for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.
3 (Lev 4:3; 1:10) Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy Place with a young
bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.
4 (Ex 30:20; 28:39-43) He shall put on the holy linen tunic,
and he shall have the linen undergarment on his body,
and shall be girded with a linen sash, and shall be wearing
the linen turban. These are holy garments.
Therefore he shall wash his body in water and then put them on.

children of Israel two male goats for a sin offering
and one ram for a burnt offering.

In the wake of the coronavirus, retrieving something from my safety deposit
box required even more layers of protocol than before. Now I had to make an
appointment, call when I arrived to be granted entrance to the bank, show my
identification and signature, and then wait to be escorted into the vault by
a designated banker. Once inside, the heavy doors locked again until I'd
found what I needed inside the metal box.
Unless I followed the instructions, I wasn't able to enter.
In the Old Testament, God had specific protocols for entering part of
the tabernacle called the Most Holy Place (Exodus 26:33). Behind a special
curtain, one that "separate[d] the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place,"
only the high priest could enter once a year (Hebrews 9:7). Aaron,
and the high priests who would come after him, were to bring offerings,
bathe, and wear sacred garments before entering (Leviticus 16:3-4). God's
instructions weren't for health or security reasons; they were meant to teach
the Israelites about the holiness of God and our need for forgiveness.
At the moment of Jesus' death, that special curtain was torn (Matthew 27:51),
symbolically showing that all people who believe in His sacrifice for their
forgiveness of sin can enter God's presence. The tear in the tabernacle
curtain is reason for our unending joy-Jesus has enabled us to draw near
to God always!

Is 41:10

Beth had the same recurring nightmare: she was running along a cliff,
then she slipped, and fell headlong, into a bottomless ravine.
Falling, without control,without end, falling, falling, falling...
Beth's dream may be one many of us identify with. The sense
of losing control can be nightmarish, and we may fear falling
without end, without remedy. Financial failure may be the chasm
that we face, or professional disgrace. Personal relationships
may go out of control, and we look into a never-ending
ravine of pain and misunderstanding
But God says, "Don't be afraid; I am holding you up."
Like the father who helps his child learn to swim,
God holds us above the water. We may not feel his hands;
indeed, we may suspect that he lets us go just so we can
do it on our own. But he promises that he doesn't let go.
"I am with you." he declares. "I give you strength
and hold you up."
God's promise never to let go takes on new meaning
in a world where relationships are temporary and life is
uncertain. We do not need to fear, for he is with us.
We can relax and stop striving, for he is our God.
His strength becomes ours; amid all our sin and rebellion,
he undergirds us with his righteousness. We cannot fall,
for he holds us firm.

2015 Population - 4631302 Muslims about 136493
British Columbia - British Columbia's Muslim Population is growing constantly.
Every week there are immigrants ad refugees coming to the Greater Vancouver
and surrounding areas. There are also significant Muslim student populations
in our colleges and universities. Some have even suggested that there are
between 4000 and 5000 Saudi Arabian students alone, without counting all
other nationalities.
Greater Vancouver has an estimated 180000 Muslims, and there are significant
and growing communities in the Fraser Valley such as in Langley, Abbotsford,
Chilliwack, etc. Including these communities the total population for this
region is about 200000.
Of these, there are an estimated 100000 Iranians, 35000 Arabs, 15000 Ismailis,
more than 20000 Afghanis, 10000 South Asian Muslims, 3000 Turks, and small
numbers from other countries such as Sudan, Somalia, Albania, etc.
We are seeing some Muslims coming to Christ and we rejoice in that.
A few people also have some ongoing ministry to Muslims in the area,
for which we also rejoice. Let us agree in that
- the church will catch a vision to pray,
and a burden to train outreach to Muslims
- the church will press in to participate in effective
discipleship of these new Muslim background believers.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!
My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further
call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

DEVOTION:
When we are free from outside noise or turbulence, this is when we can hear
the still small voice of God's Spirit as he comes to comfort and guide us
through life.
We can experience a lot of noise in our lives, and some of the noise we
experience could be blocking our ability to feel His presence in our life
and prayer time. To be calm does not mean that the storm is no longer all
around you. It just means that the storm is no longer your focus.
When we don't choose to seek God first, the bustle of life can make it
impossible for us to hear what God is trying to tell us. Yet when we
choose to seek Him first and slow down, we allow ourselves
the opportunity to rest. Then our mind and heart can focus
on the things of God and what He is telling us.
REFLECTION:
How much time do I spend being quiet,
seeking God and waiting for Him to speak to me?
What are the distractions I need to eliminate
so that I can be still and quiet?
If I want to hear God speak to me,
what am I willing to do about it?
PRAYER:
Lord, teach me to listen so that I may hear your voice and follow you
where you lead. Let me enjoy those times of quiet and enjoy being
surrounded by the Holy Spirit.
Father, help me learn to settle my mind and body so I can slow down
and be at peace. I pray that you refresh my spirit as I rest in you,
in that stillness.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
