Job 40
1 Moreover, the Lord answered Job and said:
2 "Will he who argues with the Almighty instruct Him?
He who rebukes God, let him answerit."
Job Replies to the Lord
3 Then Job answered the Lord and said:
4 "Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer You?
I will lay my hand over my mouth.
5 Once have I spoken, but I will not answer;
yes, twice, but I will proceed no further."
The Lord Challenges Job
6 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said:
7 "Prepare yourself now like a man;
I will question you,
and you will answer Me.
8 "Will you indeed annul My judgment?
Will you condemn Me, that you may be righteous?
9 Have you an arm like God?
Or can you thunder with a voice like Him?
10 Adorn yourself now with majesty and excellence,
and array yourself with glory and beauty.
11 Let loose the rage of your wrath,
and look on every one who is proud and abase him;
12 look on every one who is proud and bring him low,
and tread down the wicked in their place.
13 Hide them in the dust together,
and imprison them in the hidden place of the grave.
14 Then I will also confess to you
that your own right hand can save you.

15 "Look now at the behemoth (a dinosaur)
which I made along with you;
he eats grass like an ox.
16 See now his strength is in his hips,
and his power is in the muscles of his belly.
17 He moves his tail like a cedar;
the sinews of his thighs are wrapped together.
18 His bones are like strong pieces of brass;
his bones are like bars of iron.
19 He is the first of the works of God;
He who made him can bring near His sword.
20 Surely the mountains bring forth food for him,
where all the beasts of the field play.
21 He lies under the shady trees,
in the thicket of the reed and marsh.
22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow;
the willows of the brook surround him.
23 Look, the river rages, but he is not alarmed;
he trusts that he can draw up the Jordan into his mouth.
24 Can anyone catch it by its eyes,
or pierce its nose with a snare?
Job 41
1 "Can you draw out Leviathan (sea monster like the legendary Loch Ness Monster)
with a hook
or snare his tongue with a line which you let down?
2 Can you put a cord into his nose,
or pierce his jaw with a hook?
3 Will he make many supplications to you?
Will he speak soft words to you?
4 Will he make a covenant with you?
Will you take him for a servant forever?
5 Will you play with him as with a bird?
Or will you put him on a leash for your maidens?
6 Will your companions make a banquet of him?
Will they divide him among the merchants?
7 Can you fill his skin with harpoons
or his head with fishing spears?
8 Lay your hand on him;
remember the battle—you will do it no more.
9 Notice, any hope of overcoming him is in vain;
shall not one be overwhelmed at the sight of him?
10 No one is so fierce that he dares to stir him up.
Who then is able to stand before Me?
11 Who has preceded Me that I should repay him?
Everything under heaven is Mine.
12 "I will not conceal his limbs,
nor his power, nor his graceful proportions.
13 Who can remove his outer garment?
Or who can approach him with a double bridle?
14 Who can open the jaws of his face?
His teeth are terrible all around.
15 His scales are his pride,
shut up tightly as with a seal.
16 One is so near to another
that no air can come between them.
17 They are joined to each other;
they stick together that they cannot be separated.
18 His sneezing flashes forth light,
and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
19 Out of his mouth go burning lights,
and sparks of fire leap out.
20 Out of his nostrils goes smoke
as out of a seething pot or cauldron.
21 His breath kindles coals,
and a flame goes out of his mouth.
22 In his neck remains strength,
and sorrow is turned into joy before him.
23 The folds of his flesh are joined together;
they are firm on him; they cannot be moved.
24 His heart is as firm as a stone,
yes, as hard as a piece of the lower millstone.
25 When he raises up himself even the gods are afraid;
because of his crashings they are beside themselves.
26 The sword that reaches him cannot avail,
nor does the spear, the arrow, or the javelin.
27 He counts iron as straw,
and brass as rotten wood.
28 The arrow cannot make him flee;
slingstones are turned into stubble by him.
29 Arrows are counted as straw;
he laughs at the shaking of a spear.
30 Sharp stones are his underside;
he leaves a mark in the mire like a sharp threshing sledge.
31 He makes the deep to boil like a pot;
he makes the sea like a pot of ointment.
32 He leaves a shining wake behind him;
one would think the deep had white hair.
33 On earth there is nothing like him,
a creature made without fear.
34 He beholds all high things;
he is a king over all the children of pride."
Job 42
Job's Repentance
1Then Job answered the Lord and said:
2 "I know that You can do everything,
and that no thought can be withheld from You.
3 'Who is he who hides counsel without knowledge?'
Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me which I did not know.
4 " 'Hear, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you declare to Me.'
5 I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear,
but now my eye sees You.
6 Therefore I abhor myself,
and repent in dust and ashes."
Epilogue
7 And so it was, that after the Lord had spoken these words to Job,
the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite,
"My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends,
for you have not spoken of Me what is right as My servant Job has.

8 And now, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to My servant Job,
and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job will pray for you.
For him I will accept, lest I deal with you according to your folly, in that you
have not spoken of Me the thing which is right like My servant Job."
9 So Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite
went and did as the Lord had commanded them; the Lord also accepted Job.
10 And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends,
and also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
11 Then all of his brothers, and all his sisters, and all of those who had been of acquaintance
before came to Job, and they ate bread with him in his house, and they consoled him and comforted him
for all the adversity that the Lord had brought upon him. Every man also gave him a piece of money and an earring of gold.
12 So the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning, ( The Lord rewards the faithful)
for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels,
and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.
13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
14 He called the name of the first Jemimah;
and the name of the second Keziah;
and the name of the third Keren-Happuch.
15 In all the land, there were no women as beautiful as the daughters of Job,
and their father gave them an inheritance along with their brothers.
16 After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons,
and their sons to the fourth generation.
17 So Job died, being old and full of days.

Genesis 6
Man’s Wickedness
1 When men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them,
2 the sons of God (demons) saw that the daughters of men were fair and took as wives any they chose.
3 The Lord said, "My Spirit will not always strive with man, for he is flesh; yet his days will be a hundred and twenty years."
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days,
and also after that, when the sons of God (demons) came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them.
These were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
5 The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth,
and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was continually only evil.
6 The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him in His heart.
7 So the Lord said, "I will destroy man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—both man and beast,
and the creeping things, and the birds of the sky, for I am sorry that I have made them."
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. (Noah being faithful and Genetiaclly Pure)
Noah and the Flood
9 These are the generations of Noah.
Noah was a just man and blameless among his contemporaries.
Noah walked with God.
10 Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 The earth was corrupt before God and filled with violence.
12 God looked on the earth and saw it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
13 So God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh is come before Me,
for the earth is filled with violence because of them.
Now I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make an ark of cypress wood for yourself. Make rooms in the ark,
and cover it inside and out with pitch.
15 And this is how you must make it: The length of the ark will be three hundred cubits,
the width of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 Make an opening one cubit below the top of the ark all around;
and you must set the door of the ark on the side.
Make it with a lower, a second, and a third story.
17 I will bring a flood of waters on the earth to destroy all flesh,
wherever there is the breath of life under heaven, and everything that is on the earth will die.
18 But I will establish My covenant with you;
you must go into the ark—you, and your sons, and your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
19 Bring every living thing of all flesh, two of every kind, into the ark to keep them alive with you.
They shall be male and female.
20 Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal,
and of every kind of creeping thing of the earth will come to you to be kept alive.
21 Also, take with you of every kind of food that is eaten
and gather it to yourself, and it will be for food for you and for them."
22 Noah did this; he did all that God commanded him. (Faithful is the Man who Acknowledges the Lord The Creator)
Genesis 7
1 The Lord said to Noah,
"You and your entire household go into the ark,
for you alone I have seen to be righteous before
Me among this generation.
2 Take with you seven each of every clean animal,
the male and its female,
and two each of every unclean animal, the male and its female,
3 and seven each of birds of the air, the male and female,
to keep offspring alive on the face of all the earth.
4 In seven days I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights,
and every living thing that I have made I will destroy from the face of the earth."
5 And Noah did according to all that the Lord commanded him.
6 Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came upon the earth.
7 And Noah went with his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives into the ark because of the floodwaters.
8 Everything that creeps on the land from clean and unclean animals and birds
9 came in two by two, male and female, to Noah into the ark, as God had commanded Noah.
10 After seven days, the waters of the flood were on the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month,
on the seventeenth day of the month, the same day,
all the fountains of the great deep burst open and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.
12 The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.
13 On the very same day Noah and the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth,
and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark.
14 They and every wild animal according to its kind, and all the livestock according to their kind,

15 went with Noah into the ark, two by two of all flesh in which
was the breath of life.
16 So they went in, male and female of all flesh, just as God had commanded him; then the Lord shut him in.
17 The flood was on the earth forty days, and the water increased and lifted up the ark, so that it rose up above the earth.
18 The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.
19 The water prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high mountains that were under the whole heaven were covered.
20 The waters prevailed upward and the mountains were covered fifteen cubits deep.
21 All flesh that moved on the earth died: birds and livestock and beasts,

22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, all that was on the dry land, died.
23 So He blotted out every living thing which was on the face of the ground,
both man and animals and the creeping things and the birds of the heavens.
They were blotted out from the earth,
and only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive.
24 The waters prevailed on the earth for one hundred and fifty days.

The winter night was cold when someone threw a large stone
through a Jewish child's bedroom window.
A star of David had been displayed in the window,
along with a menorah to celebrate Hanukkah,
the Jewish Festival of Lights.
In the child's town of Billings, Montana,
thousands of people—many of them believers
in Jesus—responded to the hateful act with compassion.
Choosing to identify with the hurt and fear of their Jewish neighbors,
they pasted pictures of menorahs in their own windows.
As believers in Jesus, we too receive great compassion.
Our Savior humbled Himself to live among us (John 1:14),
identifying with us. On our behalf, He,
"being in very nature God . . .
made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant" (Philippians 2:6–7).
Then, feeling as we feel and weeping as we weep,
He died on a cross, sacrificing His life to save ours.
Nothing we struggle with is beyond our Savior’s concern.
If someone "throws rocks" at our lives, He comforts us.
If life brings disappointments, He walks with us through despair.
"Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly;
though lofty, he sees them from afar" (Psalm 138:6).
In our troubles, He preserves us, stretching out His hand against both
"the anger of [our] foes" (v. 7) and our own deepest fears.
Thank You, God, for Your compassionate love.

Found sobbing under a coat rack, the boy tried to tell the security guard
where he was when he got separated from his mother. Finally the guard said,
"what's your name, Son? Who do you belong to?"
The child brightened a bit, gave the guard his name, and within minutes
the frantic mother was reunited with her lost son.
One of the first questions we are asked, both as children and adults, is
"What is your name?" - that is, "Who are you? Who do you belong to?"
Children bear the name of their parents, and most women,
except for professional reasons, take the name of their husbands when they marry.
Pir names are oour primary method of identification;
they connect us with our heritage and those we love.
In Isaiah 43:1, God declares that we belong to him. The Lord who created us and formed us says,
"I have redemmed you; I have called you by name; you are mine." God's
right of ownership in our lives extends beyond the bond of family and friends,
pf parent, child, or spouse. We belong first to him; o
we are called by him into oneness with him.
The Scripture is filled with images of the Lord's care for us;
when we are lost, he does
not wait for us to find him,
but takes the initiative, like a loving parent
to seek us out. That declaration of belonging can give us a strong sense of security
in our lives. God loves us;
he will never let us go.

British Columbia - British Columbia's Muslim Population is growing constantly.
Every week there are immigrants ad refugees coming to the Greater Vancouver
and surrounding areas. There are also significant Muslim student populations
in our colleges and universities. Some have even suggested that there are
between 4000 and 5000 Saudi Arabian students alone, without counting all
other nationalities.
Greater Vancouver has an estimated 180000 Muslims, and there are significant
and growing communities in the Fraser Valley such as in Langley, Abbotsford,
Chilliwack, etc. Including these communities the total population for this
region is about 200000.
Of these, there are an estimated 100000 Iranians, 35000 Arabs, 15000 Ismailis,
more than 20000 Afghanis, 10000 South Asian Muslims, 3000 Turks, and small
numbers from other countries such as Sudan, Somalia, Albania, etc.
We are seeing some Muslims coming to Christ and we rejoice in that.
A few people also have some ongoing ministry to Muslims in the area,
for which we also rejoice. Let us agree in that
- the church will catch a vision to pray,
and a burden to train outreach to Muslims
- the church will press in to participate in effective
discipleship of these new Muslim background believers.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!
My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further
call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

Verse of the Day: John 17:17
17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
As people of faith, we can be confident that every word in the
Bible is true; this is the foundation upon which we live our lives.
Knowing what the Bible says about truth and hiding God's word
in our heart helps us to know when we are listening to the Voice of Truth.
One of the most well-known verses in the Bible is what Jesus said
"... I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6).
Then in John 1:1 "In the beginning was
the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
Reflection:
Do I recognize truth when I see it?
Do I know God's truth when I hear it?
Prayer:
Lord, I pray that I will seek Your truth and only Your truth.
I seek Your face during a time when the truth of Your Word seems
to be being attacked on every side, and few seem to know or
understand the truth of Scripture. Father, it is sometimes hard to
know what is true in a world when everything to do with God is being
attacked, not only in the secular arena but in many Christian ministries
as well. I want to seek You and know You more. Please protect me
from being influenced by wrong doctrine or false teaching.
Give me a discerning heart Lord God. Help me be the light sharing the truths of God.
Thank You, Father, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Job's Repentance
1Then Job answered the Lord and said:

Epilogue

Genesis 6
Man’s Wickedness
1 When men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them,
2 the sons of God (demons) saw that the daughters of men were fair and took as wives any they chose.
3 The Lord said, "My Spirit will not always strive with man, for he is flesh; yet his days will be a hundred and twenty years."
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days,
and also after that, when the sons of God (demons) came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them.

5 The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth,

Noah and the Flood
9 These are the generations of Noah.
Noah was a just man and blameless among his contemporaries.
Noah walked with God.
10 Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 The earth was corrupt before God and filled with violence.
12 God looked on the earth and saw it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
13 So God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh is come before Me,
for the earth is filled with violence because of them.
Now I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make an ark of cypress wood for yourself. Make rooms in the ark,
and cover it inside and out with pitch.
15 And this is how you must make it: The length of the ark will be three hundred cubits,
the width of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 Make an opening one cubit below the top of the ark all around;
and you must set the door of the ark on the side.
Make it with a lower, a second, and a third story.

The winter night was cold when someone threw a large stone
through a Jewish child's bedroom window.
A star of David had been displayed in the window,
along with a menorah to celebrate Hanukkah,
the Jewish Festival of Lights.
In the child's town of Billings, Montana,
thousands of people—many of them believers
in Jesus—responded to the hateful act with compassion.
Choosing to identify with the hurt and fear of their Jewish neighbors,
they pasted pictures of menorahs in their own windows.
As believers in Jesus, we too receive great compassion.
Our Savior humbled Himself to live among us (John 1:14),
identifying with us. On our behalf, He,
"being in very nature God . . .
made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant" (Philippians 2:6–7).
Then, feeling as we feel and weeping as we weep,
He died on a cross, sacrificing His life to save ours.
Nothing we struggle with is beyond our Savior’s concern.
If someone "throws rocks" at our lives, He comforts us.
If life brings disappointments, He walks with us through despair.
"Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly;
though lofty, he sees them from afar" (Psalm 138:6).
In our troubles, He preserves us, stretching out His hand against both
"the anger of [our] foes" (v. 7) and our own deepest fears.
Thank You, God, for Your compassionate love.

Isaiah 43:1
1 But now, thus says the Lord
who created you, O Jacob,
and He who formed you, O Israel:
Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
Eric, age 4, somehow lost his mother in a large and busy department store.
Found sobbing under a coat rack, the boy tried to tell the security guard
where he was when he got separated from his mother. Finally the guard said,
"what's your name, Son? Who do you belong to?"
The child brightened a bit, gave the guard his name, and within minutes
the frantic mother was reunited with her lost son.
One of the first questions we are asked, both as children and adults, is
"What is your name?" - that is, "Who are you? Who do you belong to?"
Children bear the name of their parents, and most women,
except for professional reasons, take the name of their husbands when they marry.
Pir names are oour primary method of identification;
they connect us with our heritage and those we love.
In Isaiah 43:1, God declares that we belong to him. The Lord who created us and formed us says,
"I have redemmed you; I have called you by name; you are mine." God's
right of ownership in our lives extends beyond the bond of family and friends,
pf parent, child, or spouse. We belong first to him; o
we are called by him into oneness with him.
The Scripture is filled with images of the Lord's care for us;
when we are lost, he does
not wait for us to find him,
but takes the initiative, like a loving parent
to seek us out. That declaration of belonging can give us a strong sense of security
in our lives. God loves us;
he will never let us go.

British Columbia - British Columbia's Muslim Population is growing constantly.
Every week there are immigrants ad refugees coming to the Greater Vancouver
and surrounding areas. There are also significant Muslim student populations
in our colleges and universities. Some have even suggested that there are
between 4000 and 5000 Saudi Arabian students alone, without counting all
other nationalities.
Greater Vancouver has an estimated 180000 Muslims, and there are significant
and growing communities in the Fraser Valley such as in Langley, Abbotsford,
Chilliwack, etc. Including these communities the total population for this
region is about 200000.
Of these, there are an estimated 100000 Iranians, 35000 Arabs, 15000 Ismailis,
more than 20000 Afghanis, 10000 South Asian Muslims, 3000 Turks, and small
numbers from other countries such as Sudan, Somalia, Albania, etc.
We are seeing some Muslims coming to Christ and we rejoice in that.
A few people also have some ongoing ministry to Muslims in the area,
for which we also rejoice. Let us agree in that
- the church will catch a vision to pray,
and a burden to train outreach to Muslims
- the church will press in to participate in effective
discipleship of these new Muslim background believers.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

discipleship movements among Muslim people.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for
Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

Ideas for prayer
- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!
My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further
call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

Verse of the Day: John 17:17
17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
As people of faith, we can be confident that every word in the
Bible is true; this is the foundation upon which we live our lives.
Knowing what the Bible says about truth and hiding God's word
in our heart helps us to know when we are listening to the Voice of Truth.
One of the most well-known verses in the Bible is what Jesus said
"... I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6).
Then in John 1:1 "In the beginning was
the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
Reflection:
Do I recognize truth when I see it?
Do I know God's truth when I hear it?
Prayer:
Lord, I pray that I will seek Your truth and only Your truth.
I seek Your face during a time when the truth of Your Word seems
to be being attacked on every side, and few seem to know or
understand the truth of Scripture. Father, it is sometimes hard to
know what is true in a world when everything to do with God is being
attacked, not only in the secular arena but in many Christian ministries
as well. I want to seek You and know You more. Please protect me
from being influenced by wrong doctrine or false teaching.
Give me a discerning heart Lord God. Help me be the light sharing the truths of God.
Thank You, Father, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
