    Having a controlled environment in your home is very important to the performance of the product. Wood flooring has the comfort zone with regards to temperature and humidity level.
  
  
  
  - Do not store wood flooring in an uncontrolled climate, for example garages, patios, etc.
- Ensure the building is enclosed, windows and doors.
- 	Upon delivery of wood flooring, check the wood and acclimate to the manufacturer's guidelines.
- 	Make sure the building is maintained at a normal operating temperature of 21o Celsius for a minimum of one week prior to installation and the correct humidity level of about 40%, between 35% to 55% relative humidity and your temperature between 16o and 24o Celsius.  
- 	Acclimatization of your wood requires the wood to be in the room where the installations will occur for a minimum of 72 hrs. 
- 	Depending on the manufacturer, some require the product to be left in the box to acclimate and others require it to be taken out of the box.
- 	Prior to your installation check your wood and subfloor for the moisture content. The wood subfloor should not exceed 12%, any solid strip boards under 3" wide should not exceed 4% variation and 2%  variation on solid strip over 3".
- 	It is critical to keep the humidity up to manufacturer's guidelines after the installation as well. 
- 	If you  notice gaps between the boards after the installation check your humidity level.
