Instructors

TaraTara Berry
Tara certified as a Pilates Instructor in 2001 through the Physical Mind Institute in Toronto. Along with the training she has received at Integraiton Pilates Studio, she obtained her certification at the Body Harmonics Studio in Toronto under the guidance of Margot McKinnon. Tara was a member of the University of Alberta Pandas Gymnastics team, while obtaining a Bachelor of Education degree specializing in Physical Education. Tara's interest in Pilates stemmed from a need to strengthen her back due to chronic pain. Her subsequent passion for Pilates grew as a result of her physical improvements and the fantastic way it made her feel. In Tara's classes you will benefit from her emphasis on form and technique and her attention to detail. She creates engaging, safe, and motivating classes while incorporating flow and variety into her instruction. Ten years later, Tara still feels passionate about sharing with others the wonderful benefits of Pilates, core strength, flexibility and an overall feeling of good. When Tara is not teaching Pilates she can be found spending time with her husband and two children that she feels very blessed to have.

KaraKara Botelho
Kara became interested in pilates in the mid 2000’s after a hip and back injury that left permanent spinal instability. When she discovered that the best way to keep her back in health was pilates, she became passionate and enthusiastic about it! A life long sports competitor and enthusiast, Kara has found that pilates has both increased her strength and stamina, as well as improved her muscle symmetry, and believes that it can do the same for everyone. Kara also works as a certified personal trainer, and as such, is dedicated to helping people achieve their true physical potential through fitness.

In 2008, Lisa started her journey into Pilates, obtaining a Mat Certificate and she has continued that training in 2011 with a full equipment certification from Tracy Stafford. Lisa's focus with Pilates is working with her clients to enjoy the journey of gaining strength and flexibility integrated with the healing benefits of a relaxed mind and body connection.

She taught in both Toronto and Montreal before moving to Edmonton, where she has been working and training since 2012. She improved her body awareness and increased her confidence and trust in her own body. She decided she wanted to share this experience of discovery and confidence with others. She undertakes regular training and continuing education to bring fresh information to her classes, and is thrilled to be able to empower people with Pilates the way it has empowered her!
