Genesis 10
6 The sons of Ham were
Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan.
7 The sons of Cush were
Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteka;
and the sons of Raamah were
Sheba and Dedan.
8 Cush was the father of Nimrod.
He became a mighty one on the earth.
9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Therefore it is said,
"Even like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord."
10 The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Uruk, Akkad, and Kalneh
in the land of Shinar.
11 From that land he went to Assyria and built Nineveh,
the city Rehoboth Ir, and Calah,
12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (that is the principal city).
13 Egypt was the father of
the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphtuhites,
14 Pathrusites, Kasluhites (from whom came the Philistines), and Caphtorites.
15 Canaan was the father of
Sidon his firstborn and Heth,
16 and the Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites,
17 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,
18 Arvadites, Zemarites, and the Hamathites.
Later the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
19 The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon toward Gerar to Gaza,
and then to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboyim, as far as Lasha.
20 These are the sons of Ham, according to their families,
according to their languages, in their lands and in their nations.
[6] And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
[7] And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and
Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
[8] And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
[9] He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as
Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
[10] And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and
Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
[11] Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city
Rehoboth, and Calah,
[12] And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.
[13] And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
[14] And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and
Caphtorim.
[15] And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
[16] And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,
[17] And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
[18] And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward
were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
[19] And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to
Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and
Zeboim, even unto Lasha.
[20] These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues,
in their countries, and in their nations.

10 Cush became the father of
Nimrod, who began to be mighty on the earth.
11 Egypt became the father of
the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, and Naphtuhites,

Genesis 10
The Semites
21 To Shem, who was the father of all the children of Eber,
whose older brother was Japheth, were sons born also.
22 The sons of Shem were
Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
23 The sons of Aram were
Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshek.
24 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah,
and Shelah was the father of Eber.
25 To Eber were born two sons.
The name of one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided;
his brother's name was Joktan.
26 Joktan was the father of
Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
30 Their dwelling place was from Mesha all the way to Sephar,
the hill country of the east.
[21] Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of
Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
[22] The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and
Aram.
[23] And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
[24] And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
[25] And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his
days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
[26] And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazar-maveth, and Jerah,
[27] And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
[28] And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
[29] And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan.
[30] And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of
the east.
1Ch 1:17 - 23
17 The sons of Shem were
Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud, Aram,
Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshek.
18 Arphaxad became the father of Shelah,
and Shelah became the father of Eber.
19 Two sons were born to Eber:
The name of one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided,
and the name of his brother was Joktan.
20 Joktan became the father of
Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
21 Hadoram, Uzal, and Diklah,
22 Ebal, Abimael, Sheba,
23 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
[17] The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram,
and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
[18] And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.
[19] And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg;
because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was
Joktan.
[20] And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
[21] Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,
[22] And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
[23] And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
Genesis 10
31 These are the sons of Shem, by their families and their language,
in their lands and their nations.
32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations,
in their nations. From these were the nations divided in the earth
after the flood.
[31] These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues,
in their lands, after their nations.
[32] These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in
their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the
flood.
Genesis 11
The Tower of Babel
1 Now the whole earth had one language and the same words.
2 As the people journeyed from the east,
they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.
3 They said to each other,
"Let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly."
And they had brick for stone and tar for mortar.
4 Then they said, "Come, let us build us a city and a tower,
whose top will reach to heaven,
and let us make a name for ourselves;
otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."
5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower that
the sons of men built.
6 The Lord said, "The people are one and they have one language,
and this is only the beginning of what they will do;
now nothing that they propose to do will be impossible for them.
7 Come, let us go down and there confuse their language,
so that they may not understand one another's speech."
8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth,
and they stopped building the city.
9 Therefore the name of it was called Babel,
because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth.
From there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.
[1] And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
[2] And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a
plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
[3] And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them
throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
[4] And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may
reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad
upon the face of the whole earth.
[5] And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children
of men builded.
[6] And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one
language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from
them, which they have imagined to do.
[7] Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may
not understand one another's speech.
[8] So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the
earth: and they left off to build the city.
[9] Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there
confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter
them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Genesis 11
Terah's Descendants
27 These are the generations of Terah.
Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran,
and Haran became the father of Lot.
28 Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his birth,
in Ur of the Chaldeans.
29 Abram and Nahor took wives.
The name of Abram's wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor's wife,
Milkah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milkah and the father of Iskah.
30 But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
31 Terah took his son Abram and his grandson Lot, son of Haran,
and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram's wife,

to go into the land of Canaan; but when they came to Harran,
they settled there.
32 The days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and Terah died in Harran.
[27] Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and

Ur of the Chaldees.
[29] And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was

Serving Others for Jesus
Mark 10:35-45
Mark 10:35-45
The Request of James and John
Mt 20:20-28
35 (Mt 20:20-28) Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him,
saying, "Teacher, we want that whatever we may ask, You would do for us."
36 (Mk 10:51) He said to them, "What do you want Me to do for you?
37 (Mt 19:28) They said to Him, "Grant us to sit, one at Your right hand
and the other at Your left hand, in Your glory.:
38 (Lk 12:50; Isa 51:22) But Jesus said to them, "You do not know
what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I drink
and be baptised with the baptism with which I am baptized?"
39 (Ac 12:2; Rev 1:9) They said to Him, "We can."
Jesus said to them, "You will indeed drink the cup that I drink
and be baptised with the baptism with which I am baptized.
40 (Mt 25:34) But to sit at My right hand or at My left hand is not Mine
to grant. It is for those for whom it has been prepared."
41 When the ten heard it, they began to be very displeased
with James and John.
42 (Lk 22:25; 1Pe 5:3) But Jesus called them together, and said,
"You know that those who are appointed to rule over the Gentiles
lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
43 (Mk 9:35; Lk 9:48) But it shall not be so among you.
Whoever would be great among you must be your servant,
44 and whoever among you would be greatest must be servant of all.
45 (Mt 20:28; Isa 53:10-12) For even the Son of Man came not
to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."
[35] And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master,
we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire.
[36] And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?
[37] They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right
hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.
[38] But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the
cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized
with?
[39] And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall
indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am
baptized withal shall ye be baptized:
[40] But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give;
but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
[41] And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James
and John.
[42] But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they
which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them;
and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
[43] But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among
you, shall be your minister:
[44] And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
[45] For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to
minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Actress Nichelle Nichols is best remembered for playing Lieutenant Uhura in
the original Star Trek series. Landing the role was a personal win for
Nichols, making her one of the first African American women on a major
TV show. But a greater win was to come of it.
Nichols had actually resigned from Star Trek after its first season, to return
to her theater work. But then she met Martin Luther King Jr., who urged her
not to leave. For the first time, he said, African Americans were being seen
on TV as intelligent people who could do anything, even go to space. By
playing Lieutenant Uhura, Nichols was achieving a greater win-showing
Black women and children what they could become.
It reminds me of the time James and John asked Jesus for the two best
positions in His kingdom (Mark 10:37). What personal wins such positions
would be! Jesus not only explained the painful realities of their request
(vv. 38-40) but called them to higher goals, saying, "whosoever will be
great among you, shall be your minister" (v. 43). His followers weren't to
seek personal wins alone but, like Him, use their positions to serve others
(v. 45).
Nichelle Nichols stayed with Star Trek for the greater win it provided for
African Americans. May we too never be content with a personal win alone
but use whatever position we gain to serve others in His name.

Week 2 - Saved by Grace - Day 2 - Earning Death
Romans 6:23
23 (Ro 5:12; Ge 2:17; Ro 2:7) For the wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
"I only want my rights," declares the belligerent Big Ghost, one of the
characters in C. S. Lewis's classic, The Great Divorce. "I'm not asking
for anybody's bleeding charity."
"Then do. At once," his angelic friend Len urges. "Ask for the Bleeding
Charity. Everything is here for the asking and nothing can be bought."
Often we are much like the Ghost in Lewis's tale of heaven and hell.
We want "What we deserve," and being blind to our own sin, we think
we deserve praise, or al least mercy. But Paul is very clear on what
we have coming: "The wages of sin is death".
We work for our wages - we've earned our paycheque, and we deserve it.
We don't have to thank anyone for paying us - it's our due, not a gift.
Similarly, the paycheque issued to us in renumeration for our sin is
what we deserve: death.
Yet, if we are willing to lay aside our pride and accept God's gift,
we can live. "The gift of God is eternal life." Nothing we can do or say
can make us worthy of the gift of life. We are sinners by nature and we
rebel against God in our choices. Yet God, in Christ, offers grace to us,
freedom from sin, liberty from the burden of trying to earn his favour.
Ironically, freedom and peace in the Christian life come not through
justifying ourselves and making ourselves look good, but through
acknowledging the depth of our sin ad our ability to do anything about it.
When we realise that we are trapped in out sinful selves and only
Christ can free us, then we are ready to journey toward grace and freedom.
Application
a) In what way's have I tried to "earn" the gift of eternal life?
b) What can I do to focus on God's grace and realise
that I cannot accomplish my own salvation?

2 Chr 26:5
5 (2 Ch 24:2; Da 1:17) And he sought after God in the days of Zechariah,

that he sought after the Lord, God caused him to succeed.
5 And he sought God in the days of Zechariah,
who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long
as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.

hallowed be Your name.
10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.
12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."
9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
6) This come from Praying for Muslims in Canada 2015 (Is there a 2021 edition?)
2015 Population - 4631302 Muslims about 136493
British Columbia - British Columbia's Muslim Population is growing constantly.
Every week there are immigrants ad refugees coming to the Greater Vancouver
and surrounding areas. There are also significant Muslim student populations
in our colleges and universities. Some have even suggested that there are
between 4000 and 5000 Saudi Arabian students alone, without counting all
other nationalities.
Greater Vancouver has an estimated 180000 Muslims, and there are significant
and growing communities in the Fraser Valley such as in Langley, Abbotsford,
Chilliwack, etc. Including these communities the total population for this
region is about 200000.
Of these, there are an estimated 100000 Iranians, 35000 Arabs, 15000 Ismailis,
more than 20000 Afghanis, 10000 South Asian Muslims, 3000 Turks, and small
numbers from other countries such as Sudan, Somalia, Albania, etc.
We are seeing some Muslims coming to Christ and we rejoice in that.
A few people also have some ongoing ministry to Muslims in the area,
for which we also rejoice. Let us agree in that
- the church will catch a vision to pray,
and a burden to train outreach to Muslims
- the church will press in to participate in effective
discipleship of these new Muslim background believers.

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020
Under the Keep Praying page
When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]
Footnotes
Acts 2:21 Joel 2:28-32.
- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective
discipleship movements among Muslim people.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for
Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.
Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a
hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the
house."
Ideas for prayer
- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!
My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further
call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

15th Day of the Month
a) Pray for the Lord to convict all Canadians of His Righteous
standards of living (John 16: 8 - 11
8 "When He comes, He will convict the world of sin
and of righteousness and of judgment:
9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
10 of righteousness, because I am going to My Father,
and you will see Me no more;
11 and of judgment, because the ruler of this world stands condemned."
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin,
and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

b) Pray for the province of Nova Scotia
I) Pray for the leaders of Nova Scotia, that God's Spirit would influence

( 1 Tim 2:1 - 4
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications, prayers,
intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone,
2 (Ezr 6:10) for kings and for all who are in authority,
that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty,
3(1Ti 1:1; Lk 1:47) for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our
Savior,
4 (Eze 18:23; 18:32)
who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,
intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet
and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

8 ) Pray and Fast - Day 8
CHURCH LEADERS
DEVOTION:
We need to remember to support and pray for our church leaders
regularly. It is not just during times of controversy, illness, budget
shortfalls, or other troubles that they require our prayers but constantly.
We should make it a habit to regularly pray for our pastors, elders, small
group leaders, and their families. Matthew Henry wisely observed that
the more earnestly we pray for our ministers, the more benefit we can
expect from their ministry. When we fervently pray for our church
leaders, we can anticipate that God will use our church to make a
meaningful impact with the gospel for the Kingdom.
Additionally, as members of the body of Christ. we each have a calling to
serve one another and utilize our gifts to build up the church. It is
important to take the time to reflect on how we can be leaders within our
own spheres of influence. Seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to
cultivate the necessary qualities of love. integrity, and a heart for God to
shepherd others effectively.
REFLECTION:
In what practicalways can I care for, encourage, and show appreciation
for my pastors and their families?
PRAYER:
Lord, our God, may Your favour rest upon our pastors and establish the
work of their hands. God of hope, may You fill our pastors with all joy and
peace as they trust in You so that they may overflow with hope by the
power of the Holy Spirit. Lord of peace, may You give our pastors and all
ministry leaders and their families peace at all times and in every way.
May You, the God of peace, equip our pastors with everything good for
doing Your will. and may You work in them what is pleasing to You; in the
beautiful name of Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.
SCRIPTURE REFLECTION:
Hebrews 13:17
17 (Ac 20:28; Heb 13:7) Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch
over your souls as those who must give an account. Let them do this with joy
and not complaining, for that would not be profitable to you.
[17] Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they
watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it
with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
Ephesians 4:11-12
11 (Ac 21:8; 13:1) He gave some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists,
pastors, and teachers,
12 (1Co 12:27; Eph 1:23) for the equipping of the saints, for the work
of service, and for the building up of the body of Christ,
[11] And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers;
[12] For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the
edifying of the body of Christ:
VERSE OF THE DAY
Acts 20:28
28 (1Co 10:32; Isa 40:11) Therefore take heed to yourselves
and to the entire flock, over which the Holy Spirit has made you
overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased
with His own blood.
[28] Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the
which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God,
which he hath purchased with his own blood.

28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
30 Their dwelling place was from Mesha all the way to Sephar,
the hill country of the east.

Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
[22] The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and

in their nations. From these were the nations divided in the earth
after the flood.
[31] These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues,

[32] These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in

flood.
4 Then they said, "Come, let us build us a city and a tower,
whose top will reach to heaven,
and let us make a name for ourselves;
otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."
5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower that
the sons of men built.
6 The Lord said, "The people are one and they have one language,
and this is only the beginning of what they will do;
now nothing that they propose to do will be impossible for them.

1Ch 1:24 - 27
24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,
27 and Abram, who is Abraham.
[24] Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
[25] Eber, Peleg, Reu,
[26] Serug, Nahor, Terah,
[27] Abram; the same is Abraham.
31 Terah took his son Abram and his grandson Lot, son of Haran,
and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram's wife,
and they went out together from Ur of the Chaldeans
to go into the land of Canaan; but when they came to Harran,
they settled there.
32 The days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and Terah died in Harran.
[27] Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and
Haran; and Haran begat Lot.
[28] And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in
Ur of the Chaldees.
[29] And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was
Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the
father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.
[30] But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
[31] And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son,
and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth
with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they
came unto Haran, and dwelt there.
[32] And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died
in Haran.

[40] But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give;
but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
[41] And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James
and John.
[42] But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they
which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them;
and their great ones exercise authority upon them.

What doors could you open for others right now?
Dear Jesus, show me how to use
my position to serve others in Your name.

Words in Season Scripture Memory Tools

5 And he sought God in the days of Zechariah,
who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long
as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

a) Pray for the Lord to convict all Canadians of His Righteous
standards of living (John 16: 8 - 11
8 "When He comes, He will convict the world of sin
and of righteousness and of judgment:
9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
10 of righteousness, because I am going to My Father,
and you will see Me no more;
11 and of judgment, because the ruler of this world stands condemned."
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin,
and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

11 (Ac 21:8; 13:1) He gave some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists,
pastors, and teachers,
12 (1Co 12:27; Eph 1:23) for the equipping of the saints, for the work
of service, and for the building up of the body of Christ,
[11] And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers;
