Day 145, 25 May 2023
1) 1 Chronicles 26,27,28 Psalms 127
1 Chronicles 26
The Gatekeepers
1 These were the divisions of the gatekeepers:
from the Korahites, Meshelemiah the son of Kore, one of the sons of Asaph.
2 Meshelemiah had sons:
Zechariah the firstborn,
Jediael the second,
Zebadiah the third,
Jathniel the fourth,
3 Elam the fifth,
Jehohanan the sixth,
and Eliehoenai the seventh.
4 (1Ch 15:18; 15:24) Obed-Edom had sons:
Shemaiah the firstborn,
Jehozabad the second,
Joah the third,
Sakar the fourth,
Nethanel the fifth,
5Ammiel the sixth,
Issachar the seventh,
and Peullethai the eighth
(for God blessed him).
6 Also to his son Shemaiah sons were born who ruled their fathers' houses,
for they were men of great ability.
7 The sons of Shemaiah were Othni, Rephael, Obed, and Elzabad, whose brothers
were able men: namely Elihu and Semakiah.
8 All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom with their sons and their brothers,
able men qualified for service, 62 of Obed-Edom.
9 Meshelemiah had sons and brothers, able men, eighteen in all.
10 (1Ch 16:38) Also Hosah, of the sons of Merari, had sons: Shimri the first
(although he was not the firstborn, his father made him the first),
11 Hilkiah the second, Tabaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth:
all the sons and brothers of Hosah, thirteen.
12 These divisions of the gatekeepers, for their chief men, had assignments
to minister in the house of the Lord just as their brothers.
13 (1Ch 25:8; 24:31) They cast lots, small and great alike, according to their
fathers' houses, gate by gate.
14 The lot for the East Gate fell to Shelemiah. Then they cast lots
for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, and his lot came out
for the North Gate;
15 (2Ch 25:24) to Obed-Edom the South Gate, and to his sons was allotted
the storehouse.
16 For Shuppim and Hosah the lot came out for the West Gate,
at the Shalleketh Gate on the ascending road, guard corresponding to guard.
17 On the east there were six Levites each day, on the north four each day,
on the south four each day, as well as two and two at the storehouse.
18 (2Ki 23:11) For the colonnade on the west, there were four at the highway,
and two at the colonnade.
19 These were the divisions of the gatekeepers of the sons of Korah
and of the sons of Merari.
The Treasurers and Other Officials
20 (1Ch 26:22) And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures
of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated offerings.
21 (1Ch 23:7) The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites, belonging
to Ladan, the heads of the fathers' houses belonging
to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.
22 (1Ch 23:8) The sons of Jehieli, Zetham, and Joel his brother, were
in charge of the treasures of the house of the Lord.
23 (Nu 3:27; 1Ch 23:12) From the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites,
and the Uzzielites:
24 (1Ch 24:20) Shubael the son of Gershom, the son of Moses,
was ruler of the treasures.
25 (1Ch 23:17-18) His brothers by Eliezer were Rehabiah his son,
Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zikri his son, and Shelomith his son.
26 (2Sa 8:11) This Shelomith and his brothers were in charge of
all the treasures of the dedicated offerings, which David the king,
the heads of the fathers, the officers of the thousands and the hundreds,
and the commanders of the army had dedicated.
27 Some of the spoils won in battles they dedicated for the maintenance
of the house of the Lord.
28 (1Sa 9:9) Also all that Samuel the seer and Saul the son of Kish
and Abner the son of Ner and Joab the son of Zeruiah had dedicated
-all dedicated gifts were in the care of Shelomith and his brothers.
29 (1Ch 23:4; Ne 11:16) From the Izharites, Kenaniah and his sons were
assigned the outside duties for Israel, as officers and judges.
30 (1Ch 27:17) From the Hebronites: Hashabiah and his brothers, 1700 able men,
were administrators of Israel on the west side of the Jordan for all the work
of the Lord and for the service of the king.
31 (1Ch 23:19; Jos 21:39) Jeriah was chief of the Hebronites according
to the genealogical records of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign
of David, mighty men of valor were found in the records among
the Hebronites at Jazer of Gilead,
32 (2Ch 19:11) and his brothers, able men, 2700 heads of the fathers,
to them King David entrusted all matters of God and of the king concerning
the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
1 Chronicles 26

7 The sons of Shemaiah; Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad,
whose brethren were strong men, Elihu, and Semachiah.
8 All these of the sons of Obed-edom: they and their sons

9 And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, strong men, eighteen.
10 Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief,
(for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the chief;)
11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth:
all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.
12 Among these were the divisions of the porters, even among the chief men,
having wards one against another, to minister in the house of the LORD.
13 And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according
to the house of their fathers, for every gate.
14 And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son,
a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.
15 To Obed-edom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim.
16 To Shuppim and Hosah the lot came forth westward, with the gate

and among the sons of Merari.
20 And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God,
and over the treasures of the dedicated things.
21 As concerning the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan,
chief fathers, even of Laadan the Gershonite, were Jehieli.
22 The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother, which were over
the treasures of the house of the LORD.

24 and Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses,
was ruler of the treasures.
25 And his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son,
and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.
26 Which Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasures of the
dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains
over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.
27 Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate
to maintain the house of the LORD.
28 And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son
of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever had
dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.
29 Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business
over Israel, for officers and judges.
30 And of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour,
a thousand and seven hundred, were officers among them of Israel on this side
Jordan westward in all the business of the LORD,
and in the service of the king.
31 Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites,
according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the
reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them
mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.
32 And his brethren, men of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred
chief fathers, whom king David made rulers over the Reubenites, the Gadites,
and the half tribe of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God,
and affairs of the king.

1 Chronicles 28
David's Plans for the Temple
1(1Ch 11:10-47; 23:2) Now David assembled all the leaders of Israel
in Jerusalem: the leaders of the tribes, the officers of the divisions
of those ministering to the king, the captains of thousands and the captains
of hundreds, the stewards over all the property and livestock of the king
and his sons with the eunuchs and the fighting men and all the brave warriors.
2 (Ps 99:5; Isa 66:1) So King David rose to his feet and said,
"Hear me, my brothers and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house
of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, a footstool for the feet of
our God, so I prepared to build it.
3 (1Ch 22:8; 1Ki 5:3) But God said to me, 'You shall not build a house for
My name because you are a man of war and have spilled much blood.'
4 (1Sa 16:1; 1Ch 5:2) "Still, the Lord God of Israel chose me from all
my father's house to be king over Israel forever; for He chose Judah
as leader, and in the house of Judah, the house of my father,
and among the sons of my father, He took pleasure in me to make me
king over all Israel.
5 (1Ch 3:1-9; 23:1) Of all my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons),
He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord
over Israel.
6 (2Sa 7:13-14; 1Ch 22:9-10) For He said to me, 'Solomon your son is the one
who shall build My house and My courts, for I have chosen him to be My son,
and I will be his Father.
7 (1Ch 22:13) I will establish his kingdom forever if he is fully committed
to keep My commandments and My judgments as it is this day.'
8 (Dt 4:1) "Now therefore in the sight of all Israel, the assembly
of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek out
all the commandments of the Lord your God, that you may possess
this good land and leave it for an inheritance for your children
after you forever.
9 (1Sa 16:7; 2Ch 15:2) As for you, Solomon my son, know the God
of your fathers and serve Him with a whole heart and with a willing spirit,
for the Lord searches every heart and understands the intent of every thought.
If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him,
He will abandon you forever.
10 See now that the Lord chose you to build the house for His sanctuary.
Be strong and do it."
11 (Ex 25:40; 1Ki 6:3) Then David gave to Solomon his son the building plans
for the vestibule of the temple, its house, its treasury, its roof chambers,
its inner rooms, and the place of the mercy seat;
12 (1Ch 26:20) and the plans, all of which were given to him by the Spirit,
for the courts of the house of the Lord and for the surrounding rooms,
the storehouses of the house of God, and the storehouses
of the dedicated offerings;
13 for the divisions of the priests and the Levites
for all the work of the service
of the house of the Lord and for all the implements
of the service of the house
of the Lord;
14 the weight of gold for all the golden implements of service,
the implements of silver by weight for all implements of service,
15 (Ex 25:31-39) and the weight of the golden lampstands and their lamps,
the weight of gold for each lampstand and its lamps,
the weight of silver for a lampstand and its lamps according
to the use of each lampstand;
16 the weight of gold for the tables of the showbread, table by table,
and silver for the tables of silver;
17 and the pure gold forks, the basins, and the pitchers;
for the golden bowls with the weight for each bowl;
the weight of silver for each silver dish;
18 (Ex 25:18-22; 30:1-10) and for the altar of incense,
refined gold by weight; also his plan for the golden chariot of the cherubim
that spread their wings and covered the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
19 (1Ch 28:11-12; Ex 25:40) "All this," said David, "the Lord made me
understand in writing by His hand upon me, all the works of this pattern."
20 (1Ch 22:13; Heb 13:5) Then David said to Solomon his son,
"Be strong and courageous, and take action. Do not be afraid nor be dismayed
for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you,
until you have finished all the work of the service of the house of the Lord.
21 (1Ch 24:1-26) Now, here are the divisions of the priests and the Levites
for all the service of the house of God, and all those who are willing
and skillful for all the work will be with you for all the service;
also the leaders and the people will be wholly at your command."
1 Chronicles 28
David's Last Words
1 And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes,
and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course,
and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds,
and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king,
and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men,
and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem.
2 Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren,
and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for
the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God,
and had made ready for the building:
3 but God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because
thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.
4 Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father
to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler;
and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my
father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:
5 and of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen
Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
6 And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts:
for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do
my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.
8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD,
and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments
of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it
for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father,
and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind:
for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations
of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee;
but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
10 Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build
an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.
11 Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch,
and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof,
and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof,
and of the place of the mercy seat,
12 and the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts
of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about,
of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries
of the dedicated things:
13 also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work
of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service
in the house of the LORD.
14 He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of all
manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight,
for all instruments of every kind of service:
15 even the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold,
by weight for every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof: and for the
candlesticks of silver by weight, both for the candlestick, and also for
the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick.
16 And by weight he gave gold for the tables of shewbread, for every table;
and likewise silver for the tables of silver:
17 also pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups:
and for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every bason;
and likewise silver by weight for every bason of silver:
18 and for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the
pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out their wings,
and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
19 All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing
by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.
20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do
it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with
thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all
the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
21 And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall
be with thee for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with
thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner
of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly
at thy commandment.
Psalms 127
A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon.
1 Except the Lord build the house,
those who build labor in vain;
except the Lord guards the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) It is in vain for you to rise up early,
to stay up late,
and to eat the bread of hard toil,
for He gives sleep to His beloved.
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Look, children are a gift of the Lord,
and the fruit of the womb is a reward.
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) As arrows in the hand of a mighty warrior,
so are the children of one's youth.
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Happy is the man
who has his quiver full of them;
he shall not be ashamed
when he speaks with the enemies at the gate.
Psalms 127
[1] Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it:
except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
[2] It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of
sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
[3] Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is
his reward.
[4] As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
[5] Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be
ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

All for Jesus By Adam Holz
Colossians 3:15-24
15 (Jn 14:27; Eph 5:20) Let the peace of God, to which also you are called
in one body, rule in your hearts. And be thankful.
16 (Eph 5:19; Col 1:28; Ro 10:17) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly
in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns
and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 (1Co 10:31; Eph 5:20) And whatever you do in word or deed,
do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father
through Him.
[15] And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are
called in one body; and be ye thankful.
[16] Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and
admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
[17] And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Social Duties of the New Life

as it is fitting in the Lord.
19 (Eph 5:25; 1Pe 3:7) Husbands, love your wives,
and do not be bitter toward them.
20 (Ex 20:12; Eph 5:24) Children, obey your parents in all things,
for this is well pleasing to the Lord.
21 (Eph 6:4) Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger,
lest they be discouraged.
22 (Col 3:20) Servants, obey your masters in all things according
to the flesh, serving not only when they are watching, as the servants
of men, but in singleness of heart, fearing God.
23 (Col 3:17) And whatever you do, do it heartily,
as for the Lord and not for men,
24 (1Co 7:22; Eph 6:8) knowing that from the Lord you will receive
the reward of the inheritance. For you serve the Lord Christ.
[18] Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the
Lord.
[19] Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
[20] Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing
unto the Lord.
[21] Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
[22] Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not
with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
[23] And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
[24] Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the
inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
When Jeff was fourteen, his mom took him to see a famous singer. Like many
musicians of his era, B. J. Thomas had gotten caught up in a self-destructive
lifestyle while on music tours. But that was before he and his wife were
introduced to Jesus. Their lives were radically changed when they became
believers in Christ.
On the night of the concert, the singer began to entertain the enthusiastic
crowd. But after performing a few of his well-known songs, one guy yelled out
from the audience, "Hey, sing one for Jesus!" Without any hesitation, B. J.
responded, "I just sang four songs for Jesus."
It's been a few decades since then, but Jeff still remembers that moment when
he realised that everything we do should be for Jesus-even things that some
might consider to be "nonreligious."
We're sometimes tempted to divvy up the things we do in life. Read the Bible.
Share our story of coming to faith. Sing a hymn. Sacred stuff. Mow the lawn.
Go for a run. Sing a country song. Secular stuff.
Colossians 3:16 reminds us that the message of Christ indwells us in
activities like teaching, singing, and being thankful, but verse 17 goes even
further. It emphasizes that as God's children, "whatever [we] do, whether in
word or deed, [we] do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus."
We do it all for Him.
How can you do all things in the name of Jesus?
How might you allow God to use your actions and words for His glory?
Loving God, help me to surrender every one of my activities and words to You.

Week 8 Guided by Grace Day 5 - Waiting for the Wind
Is 40:31
31 (2Co 4:16; Ps 103:5; Ex 19:4)
but those who wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
and they shall walk and not faint.
31 but they that wait upon the LORD
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.
High above civilisation, alone on his craggy peak, the eagle waits.
He watches, senses, and then, with effortless grace, he spreads
his wings and soars. He does not flap frantically to gain altitude,
he merely turns his wings into the wind and rises.
Is 40:31 promises that we, too, can be like the eagle,
mounting up on wings, soaring effortlessly,
without weariness. But this is not often our experience.
We usually flap around like invalid pigeons, scratching
for mere existence, flying only when our place in the park is disturbed.
We need to learn to wait on the Lord. Like the wind that raises the eagle
to the heights, the wind of the Spirit will lift us up as well - beyond
the weariness of daily life, beyond the struggle for existence, beyond
the plodding pace of normal interaction.
But the eagle does not rise without plunging for the cliff into the wind.
His ability to stay aloft is based on his understand of wind currents;
when the wind is against him, he rises. He waits on the cliff
until the right moment, then allows the contrary breezes to lift him up.
Most of us are grounded by the winds that are against us. We give up
and never take the first flight. We fear the plunge from the cliff into the
buoyant breath of God, and so we stand fixed, afraid to launch out.
But when we do take the risk, when we wait upon the Lord, and then
give ourselves in obedience to a free-fall from the cliffs of his will,
we discover that there is rest in soaring with him. We do not have to
struggle; we have only to fly, and in flying, to find new strength.
Application
a) Why is "waiting upon the Lord" essential
to "Mounting up with wings as the eagle"?
b) How can this verse help me be more willing to take risks in God's will?
4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland
Mark 4:23-29
23 (Mk 4:9; Mt 11:15) "If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."
24 (Mt 7:2) He said to them, "Take heed what you hear.
The measure you give will be measured for you,
and to you who hear will more be given.
25 (Mt 13:12; Lk 8:18) For to him who has will more be given.
And from him who has not will be taken, even what he has."
The Parable of the Growing Seed
26 (Mt 13:24) He said, "The kingdom of God is like a man
who scatters seed on the ground.
27 (Ecc 11:5) He sleeps and rises night and day,
and the seed sprouts and grows; he does not know how.
28 For the earth bears fruit by itself: first the blade,
then the head, then the full seed in the head.
29 (Joel 3:13) But when the grain is ripe,
immediately he applies the sickle because the harvest has come."
23 "If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. "
24 And he said unto them, "Take heed what ye hear:
with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you:
and unto you that hear shall more be given.
25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not,
from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should
cast seed into the ground;
27 and should sleep, and rise night and day,
and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade,
then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
29 But when the fruit is brought forth,
immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come."

Ps 51:1-13
PSALMS 51
For the Music Director. A Psalm of David,
when Nathan the Prophet came to him,
after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to Your lovingkindness;
according to the abundance of Your compassion,
blot out my transgressions.
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2 ) Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin.
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) For I acknowledge my transgressions,
and my sin is ever before me.
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Against You, You only, have I sinned,
and done this evil in Your sight,
so that You are justified when You speak,
and You are blameless when You judge.
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) I was brought forth in iniquity,
and in sin my mother conceived me.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) You desire truth in the inward parts,
and in the hidden part You make me to know wisdom.
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3 ) Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Make me to hear joy and gladness,
that the bones that You have broken may rejoice.
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) Hide Your face from my sins,
and blot out all my iniquities.
10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Do not cast me away from Your presence,
and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
and uphold me with Your willing spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
and sinners will return to You.
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet
came unto him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba.
1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness:
According unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions:
And my sin is ever before me.
4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight:
That thou mightest be justified when thou speakest,
and be clear when thou judgest.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity;
And in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts:
And in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness;
That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Hide thy face from my sins,
And blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God;
And renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence;
And take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;
And uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways;
And sinners shall be converted unto thee.

The Lord's prayer
Matthew 6:9-13
9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.
12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."
9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Quick facts on Muslims in Ontario
Ontario 2015 population 13 687 7000
est Muslim Population 1 001 542
CNMM Networks: Ottawa, Durham, York, Toronto, Mississauga, Halton, Hamilton,
Niagara, Kitchener, London, Windsor
Ontario has 55% of all of Canada's entire Muslim population. This means that
the whole of the Muslim world is represented somewhere in this province. Most
Muslims are understandably located along the southern border stretching
from Windsor eastward all the way up to Ottawa. Yet Muslims are constantly
resettling in more and more suburban and even small towns of Ontario. Mosques
are springing up, and where there are enough gathered, Islamic schools
are starting.
And they're not complacent, either. Many Islamic leaders are energetic in their
advancement of Islam in Canadian society. Recently in the Niagara Region,
the local mosque distributed via Canada Post as many as 50000 full-colour
brochures on Islam. An that mosque's Facebook page proudly show pictures of
"reverts", or white Canadians who have converted to Islam as a result of
receiving the flier and engaging with the mosque community. Another town
reports Muslims going door-to-door evangelism.
Agree in prayer for:
- net network leaders - the need is great
- the development of network leadership teams
- good connections with local pastors, congregations and individuals
whom God is calling into this ministry.
- wisdom facilitating outreach and training activities for mobilising
believers
- new full and part-time workers among Muslims throughout all these areas
- for pastors and churches to respond not in fear, but full of faith and love
towards Muslims, sharing Jesus with them.

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020
Under the Keep Praying page
When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]
Footnotes
Acts 2:21 Joel 2:28-32.
- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective
discipleship movements among Muslim people.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for
Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.
Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a
hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the
house."
Ideas for prayer
- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

Thank you for praying through the
5 Days of Prayer for Sikhs.
"My name is Kam. I'm 29 years of age, and I grew up Sikh. As a teenager,
I struggled with depression, brokenness, and addiction to
cannabis. I didn't know how to stop or how to get help.
Then a friend invited me to church. As I spent time with Christians
and heard the message of the Gospel, I experienced the
love of Jesus Christ, and it was like nothing I'd known before.
One night I had a dream where I saw Him - a figure surrounded by
light who I knew was Jesus, the light of the world.
As I began to understand the gospel message, I encountered a reassuring and
confident solution to the problem of sin. I knew that I needed a solution
to my sin problem, and I gave my life to Christ.
Slowly, God began to heal my broken heart and my addiction.
Nine years have passed, and I am a devoted husband and a father
to two beautiful boys. I grow deeper in love with Jesus each day.
I ask you to continue praying with me, and others around the world, for Sikhs.
God is the only one who can draw people to Himself. He works in and through
the prayers of His people. I want Sikhs to know the freedom
and healing that is only available through Jesus Christ."
13 (Ro 14:17; 12:12) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy

ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Then they cast lots
for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, and his lot came out
for the North Gate;

5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth:
for God blessed him.
6 Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled throughout
the house of their father: for they were mighty men of valour.
7 The sons of Shemaiah; Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad,
whose brethren were strong men, Elihu, and Semachiah.
8 All these of the sons of Obed-edom: they and their sons
and their brethren, able men for strength for the service,
were threescore and two of Obed-edom.
Shallecheth, by the causeway of the going up, ward against ward.
17 Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day,
and toward Asuppim two and two.
18 At Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.
19 These are the divisions of the porters among the sons of Kore,
and among the sons of Merari.
23 Of the Amramites, and the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites:

11 (Ex 25:40; 1Ki 6:3) Then David gave to Solomon his son the building plans
for the vestibule of the temple, its house, its treasury, its roof chambers,
its inner rooms, and the place of the mercy seat;
12 (1Ch 26:20) and the plans, all of which were given to him by the Spirit,
for the courts of the house of the Lord and for the surrounding rooms,
the storehouses of the house of God, and the storehouses
of the dedicated offerings;
13 for the divisions of the priests and the Levites
for all the work of the service
of the house of the Lord and for all the implements
of the service of the house
of the Lord;
14 the weight of gold for all the golden implements of service,
the implements of silver by weight for all implements of service,
15 (Ex 25:31-39) and the weight of the golden lampstands and their lamps,
the weight of gold for each lampstand and its lamps,
the weight of silver for a lampstand and its lamps according
to the use of each lampstand;
16 the weight of gold for the tables of the showbread, table by table,
and silver for the tables of silver;
17 and the pure gold forks, the basins, and the pitchers;
for the golden bowls with the weight for each bowl;
the weight of silver for each silver dish;
21 (1Ch 24:1-26) Now, here are the divisions of the priests and the Levites
for all the service of the house of God, and all those who are willing
and skillful for all the work will be with you for all the service;
also the leaders and the people will be wholly at your command."
4 Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father
to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler;
and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my
father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:
9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father,
and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind:
for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations
of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee;
but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
16 And by weight he gave gold for the tables of shewbread, for every table;
and likewise silver for the tables of silver:
17 also pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups:
and for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every bason;
and likewise silver by weight for every bason of silver:
Of Solomon.
1 Except the Lord build the house,
those who build labor in vain;
except the Lord guards the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Happy is the man
who has his quiver full of them;
he shall not be ashamed
when he speaks with the enemies at the gate.

Social Duties of the New Life
18 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands,
as it is fitting in the Lord.
[23] And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
[24] Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the
inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Is 40:31
31 (2Co 4:16; Ps 103:5; Ex 19:4)
but those who wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
and they shall walk and not faint.
31 but they that wait upon the LORD
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.
His ability to stay aloft is based on his understand of wind currents;
when the wind is against him, he rises.
26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should
cast seed into the ground;

God's Gift of Salvation
Ps 51:1-13
PSALMS 51
For the Music Director. A Psalm of David,
when Nathan the Prophet came to him,
after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to Your lovingkindness;
according to the abundance of Your compassion,
blot out my transgressions.
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3 ) Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity;
And in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts:
And in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness;
That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Hide thy face from my sins,
And blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God;
And renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence;
And take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;
And uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways;
And sinners shall be converted unto thee.
Remember God's promises when You pray
The Lord's prayer
Matthew 6:9-13
9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
And
Thank you for praying through the
5 Days of Prayer for Sikhs.
13 (Ro 14:17; 12:12) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy
and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope,
through the power of the Holy Spirit.
[13] Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that
ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
