Proverbs 10
The Proverbs of Solomon
1 (Pr 1:1; 29:3) The proverbs of Solomon.
A wise son makes a glad father,
but a foolish son is the grief of his mother.
2 (Pr 11:4; 21:6) Treasures of wickedness profit nothing,
but righteousness delivers from death.

Proverbs 11
1 (Pr 16:11; 20:10; 20:23) A false balance is abomination to the Lord,
but a just weight is His delight.
2 (Pr 29:23; 18:12) When pride comes, then comes shame;
but with the humble is wisdom.
3 (Pr 13:6 ) The integrity of the upright will guide them,
but the perverseness of transgressors will destroy them.
4 (Ge 7:1; Pr 10:2) Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death.
5 (Pr 5:22) The righteousness of the upright will direct his way,
but the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.
6 (Ecc 10:8) The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,
but transgressors will be taken by their schemes.
7 (Pr 10:28; Job 8:13-14) When a wicked man dies, his expectation will perish,
and the hope of unjust men perishes.

and the wicked comes in his place.
9 A hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor,
but through knowledge the just will be delivered.

and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

but those who deal truly are His delight.

but the slothful will be put to forced labor.
25 (Pr 15:13; 15:23) Heaviness in the heart of man makes it droop,
but a good word makes it glad.
26 The righteous is a guide to his neighbors,
but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
27 (Pr 13:4) The slothful man does not roast that which he took in hunting,
but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
28 (3Jn 1:11) In the way of righteousness is life,
and in its pathway there is no death.

Romans 12:9-13
9 (1Ti 1:5; 2Co 6:6) Let love be without hypocrisy. Hate what is evil.
Cleave to what is good.
10 (Php 2:3; Heb 13:1) Be devoted to one another with brotherly love;
prefer one another in honor,
11 (Ac 18:25) do not be lazy in diligence, be fervent in spirit,
serve the Lord,
12 (Heb 10:36; Ac 1:14) rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering,
persevere in prayer,
13 (2Co 9:1; 1Ti 3:2) contribute to the needs of the saints,
practice hospitality.
Rogelio served as our waiter during our weeklong vacation.
In one conversation, he credited Jesus for blessing him with Kaly,
a compassionate wife with strong faith. After they had their first baby,
God gave them the opportunity to help care for their niece
who had Down syndrome. Soon after, Rogelio's mother-in-law
needed live-in care.
Rogelio works with joy, often taking on double shifts to ensure his wife
can stay home to care for the people God entrusted to them. When I shared
how the couple inspired me to love better because of the way they opened
their hearts and home to serve their family members,
he said, "It is my pleasure to serve them . . . and you."
Rogelio’s life affirms the power of living with generosity
and trusting God to provide as we serve one another selflessly.
The apostle Paul urged God's people to be "devoted to one another in love
. . . joyful in hope, patient in affliction, [and] faithful in prayer"
as we "share with the Lord's people who are in need
[and] practice hospitality" (Romans 12:10-13).
Our life can change in an instant, leaving us or those we love
in circumstances that feel impossible to bear. But when we're willing
to share all God has given us while we wait on Him,
we can cling to His enduring love . . . together.

Establishing priorities is a popular topic of conversation in our
generation. We carry appointment calendars and attend goal-setting
strategy seminars. We let machines answer our telephones so that
we won't miss any important messages, or so that we can screen calls
before we answer them. We order our lives sp that we can "get ahead".
"Getting ahead" in God's kingdom, however, involves other priorities
than the ones we may set for ourselves. "Wisdom is supreme," the
principal thing, says Proverbs 4:7, "Get wisdom. Though it cost
all you have, get understanding."
Wisdom is defined as "an understanding of what is true, right, or lasting."
Biblical wisdom is not merely the accumulation of facts about God and his
teaching, but the application of those truths of life, taking on
the character of God as we mature in the image of Christ.
Such wisdom may, indeed, come at great cost. Jesus calls us to "lay
down our lives" to folow him - perhaps not literally to die, but to die
to self-centered priorities, to allow the Holy Spirit to establish
his value system in us.
"Keep my commandments and you will live," Proverbs 4:4 says. Real life -
rich, fulfilling, significant, abundant life - comes only through union
with God. The success offered by the world, the acclaim of others, material
prosperity and convenience cannot satisfy us once we have tasted
the joy of life with God in Christ.

There is a growing Muslim population in Quebec City and a smattering
os Muslims scattered aound the rest of the province, yet the vast majority
of Muslims live in the greater Montreal area. n fact, 23% of Canada's Muslim
population live in Quebec. Why is that? It is largely because Francophone
African Muslims are atrracted to La Belle Provence.
And here's an interesting, perhaps even shocking fact: There are more
Muslims in Montreal than there are evangelical Christians.
This is one demographic factor creates a challenging environment for churches
and believers here: The size of the available 'workforce' is small
by comparison to begin with. Believers are already is a host culture that
is often either indifferent to releigion or resistant to it. And now
this 'new' religious community of Muslims - many of whom do not visibly
or socially conform to Quebec society - are a growing population. It might br
easy for Christians to feel overwhlem by this cultural double-whammy,
yet God has alsways worked miracles through the small, the few.
Agree in prayer for :
- Te people of Quebec, Muslim or otherwise, to be open to the Gospel
- for Muslims who are encountering believers and responding
-for a new group of Muslim background believers who are meeting
together for worship!
- For pastors and believers to be full of passion, faith and vision for
reaching Muslims in Quebec.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 12 They were all amazed and perplexed, saying to each other,
"What does this mean?"
13 (1Co 14:23) Others mocking said, "These men are full of new wine."

- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for
Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.
Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a
hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the
house."
Ideas for prayer
- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!
My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further
call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, atheists, secular humanists, ...) .

a) Pray for Canada's First Nation peoples, that the Lord will draw them to Himself

b) Pray for the Lord to search your life , reveal anything offensive
and cleanse you from unrighteousness
( ps 139:24 and see if there is any rebellious way in me,
and lead me in the ancient way.
1: John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Conclusion:
Pray to Lord to seek his favour by being righteous and wise in His eyes.
Pray to the Lord to help you love others while we wait for Him to work in
and through my circumstances.
Pray to the Lord to seek the Wisdom of the Lord..
Pray to the Lord and thank Him for His redeeming sacrifice.

Rogelio served as our waiter during our weeklong vacation.
In one conversation, he credited Jesus for blessing him with Kaly,
a compassionate wife with strong faith. After they had their first baby,
God gave them the opportunity to help care for their niece
who had Down syndrome. Soon after, Rogelio's mother-in-law
needed live-in care.
Rogelio works with joy, often taking on double shifts to ensure his wife
can stay home to care for the people God entrusted to them. When I shared
how the couple inspired me to love better because of the way they opened
their hearts and home to serve their family members,
he said, "It is my pleasure to serve them . . . and you."
Rogelio’s life affirms the power of living with generosity
and trusting God to provide as we serve one another selflessly.
The apostle Paul urged God's people to be "devoted to one another in love
. . . joyful in hope, patient in affliction, [and] faithful in prayer"
as we "share with the Lord's people who are in need
[and] practice hospitality" (Romans 12:10-13).
Our life can change in an instant, leaving us or those we love
in circumstances that feel impossible to bear. But when we're willing
to share all God has given us while we wait on Him,
we can cling to His enduring love . . . together.

Establishing priorities is a popular topic of conversation in our
generation. We carry appointment calendars and attend goal-setting
strategy seminars. We let machines answer our telephones so that
we won't miss any important messages, or so that we can screen calls
before we answer them. We order our lives sp that we can "get ahead".
"Getting ahead" in God's kingdom, however, involves other priorities
than the ones we may set for ourselves. "Wisdom is supreme," the
principal thing, says Proverbs 4:7, "Get wisdom. Though it cost
all you have, get understanding."
Wisdom is defined as "an understanding of what is true, right, or lasting."
Biblical wisdom is not merely the accumulation of facts about God and his
teaching, but the application of those truths of life, taking on
the character of God as we mature in the image of Christ.
Such wisdom may, indeed, come at great cost. Jesus calls us to "lay
down our lives" to folow him - perhaps not literally to die, but to die
to self-centered priorities, to allow the Holy Spirit to establish
his value system in us.
"Keep my commandments and you will live," Proverbs 4:4 says. Real life -
rich, fulfilling, significant, abundant life - comes only through union
with God. The success offered by the world, the acclaim of others, material
prosperity and convenience cannot satisfy us once we have tasted
the joy of life with God in Christ.

There is a growing Muslim population in Quebec City and a smattering
os Muslims scattered aound the rest of the province, yet the vast majority
of Muslims live in the greater Montreal area. n fact, 23% of Canada's Muslim
population live in Quebec. Why is that? It is largely because Francophone
African Muslims are atrracted to La Belle Provence.
And here's an interesting, perhaps even shocking fact: There are more
Muslims in Montreal than there are evangelical Christians.
This is one demographic factor creates a challenging environment for churches
and believers here: The size of the available 'workforce' is small
by comparison to begin with. Believers are already is a host culture that
is often either indifferent to releigion or resistant to it. And now
this 'new' religious community of Muslims - many of whom do not visibly
or socially conform to Quebec society - are a growing population. It might br
easy for Christians to feel overwhlem by this cultural double-whammy,
yet God has alsways worked miracles through the small, the few.
Agree in prayer for :
- Te people of Quebec, Muslim or otherwise, to be open to the Gospel
- for Muslims who are encountering believers and responding
-for a new group of Muslim background believers who are meeting
together for worship!
- For pastors and believers to be full of passion, faith and vision for
reaching Muslims in Quebec.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 12 They were all amazed and perplexed, saying to each other,
"What does this mean?"

Ideas for prayer
- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!
