How is matchmaking different to other dating services? There are many differences and always pros and cons to using a dating service, online dating or professional matchmaker. I'm biased towards matchmaking because it is personalized, hand picked, confidential and offers relationship coaching. Matchmakers introduce clients to both members and non-members. Most matchmakers are also coaches and there is always access to personal coaching. Research all services to make sure they suit your needs at the time. I would suggest that your decision not be monetary based or on how they advertise their services. If personalized service is what you prefer, then buyers beware, as many dating and online services claim to be matchmakers. Ask questions about the matchmaking service they offer and who is handling your file, what does personalized mean and is the staff qualified to call themselves matchmakers.
How long will it take for me to meet my match? Matchmaking is often thrown into the quick fix dating services bucket and I truly believe you cannot rush love. The detailed and extensive interviewing process, coaching and the personalized aspect of choosing a compatible match takes more time. Our goal is to match within a reasonable amount of time.
How do I know that my information will be kept confidential? We secure our files, our business phone is a private number, all interviews are by appointment only, and we space our appointments. When matching clients, we are very sensitive to personal information; therefore no contact information is released unless both individuals have agreed to meet.
How do we select a compatible match? We match individuals based on personal values, your relationship goals, interests and physical criteria. I cannot create chemistry but I do my best to facilitate it. I may ask for a reasonable compromise as the perfect match does not exist and I can never guarantee love. Experience has shown us that individuals who hold similar values and know their relationship goals are most successful. Our process helps people become conscious of living in the moment and staying true to their personal values while honoring the values of a potential life partner.
