Day 131 of the 2nd Bible Study Journey - 11 May 2022 reflections

Day 131, 11 May 2022

1)Psalm 68-70,86,101

PSALMS 68

For the Music Director. A Psalm of David. A Song.

1 Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered;

let those who hate Him flee before Him.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2 ) As smoke is driven away,

You drive them away;

as wax melts before the fire,

so may the wicked perish before God.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) But let the righteous be glad;

let them rejoice before God;

let them rejoice exceedingly.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Sing to God, sing praises to His name;

raise a song to Him who rides through the deserts-

His name is the Lord;

exult before Him.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) A father of the fatherless, and a protector of the widows,

is God in His holy habitation.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9 )God sets the deserted in families;

He brings out prisoners into prosperity,

but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) O God, when You went forth before Your people,

when You marched through the wasteland, Selah

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) the earth shook;

the heavens also poured down rain

at the presence of God; even Sinai shook

at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) You, O God, sent plentiful rain;

You established Your inheritance when it was weary.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) Your congregation has lived in it;

You, O God, by Your goodness have prepared for the poor.

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) The Lord gave the word;

great was the company of women who proclaimed it:

12 "Kings of armies flee; they flee!"

Even the women who were at home divided the spoil.

13 Though you sleep between the sheepfolds,

yet you will be like the wings of a dove overlaid with silver,

and its feathers with yellow gold.

14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it,

it was white as snow on Mount Zalmon.

15 The mountain of God is as the mountain of Bashan;

a mountain of many peaks like the mountain of Bashan.

16 Why are you envious, you mountains of many peaks?

This is the mountain which God desires to dwell in;

yes, the Lord will dwell in it forever.

17 The chariots of God are twice ten thousand,

even thousands of thousands;

the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

18 You have ascended on high,

You have led captivity captive;

You have received gifts from people,

yes, even from the rebellious,

that the Lord God might dwell among them.

19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits,

even the God who is our salvation. Selah

20 That God is for us, the God of saving acts;

and to God the Lord belongs escape from death.

21 But God will shatter the head of His enemies,

and the scalp of one who walks in his trespasses.

22 The Lord said, "I will cause them to return from Bashan,

I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea,

23 that your foot may stomp in the blood of your enemies,

and the tongue of your dogs may have a portion in it."

24 They have seen Your processions, O God,

the processions of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.

25 The singers went before,

the players on instruments followed after;

among them were the young women playing tambourines.

26 Bless God in the congregations,

the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.

27 There is little Benjamin leading them,

the princes of Judah and their throng of people,

the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.

28 Your God has commanded your strength;

strengthen, O God, what You have done for us.

29 From Your temple above Jerusalem,

kings will bring gifts to You.

30 Rebuke the animals that live among the reeds,

the herd of bulls, with the calves of the people,

until everyone submits himself with pieces of silver;

scatter peoples who delight in war.

31 Ambassadors will come out of Egypt;

Ethiopia will stretch out its hands to God.

32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth;

oh, sing praises to the Lord; Selah

33 to Him who rides on the heavens, the ancient heavens;

He who sends out His voice, a mighty voice.

34 Ascribe strength to God;

His majesty is over Israel,

and His strength is in the clouds.

35 O God, You are awesome from Your sanctuaries;

the God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to people.

Blessed be God!

Psalms 68

[1] Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him

flee before him.

[2] As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the

fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

[3] But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let

them exceedingly rejoice.

[4] Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the

heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

[5] A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his

holy habitation.

[6] God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are

bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

[7] O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march

through the wilderness; Selah:

[8] The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even

Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

[9] Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm

thine inheritance, when it was weary.

[10] Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy

goodness for the poor.

[11] The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published

it.

[12] Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided

the spoil.

[13] Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a

dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.

[14] When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in

Salmon.

[15] The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of

Bashan.

[16] Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to

dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever.

[17] The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the

Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

[18] Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast

received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God

might dwell among them.

[19] Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God

of our salvation. Selah.

[20] He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord

belong the issues from death.

[21] But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of

such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.

[22] The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people

again from the depths of the sea:

[23] That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the

tongue of thy dogs in the same.

[24] They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King,

in the sanctuary.

[25] The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after;

among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.

[26] Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of

Israel.

[27] There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and

their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.

[28] Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou

hast wrought for us.

[29] Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto

thee.

[30] Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the

calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver:

scatter thou the people that delight in war.

[31] Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her

hands unto God.

[32] Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord;

Selah:

[33] To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo,

he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.

[34] Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his

strength is in the clouds.

[35] O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is

he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

PSALMS 69

For the Music Director. To the melody of "Lilies." A Psalm of David.

1 Save me, O God!

For the waters have come up to my throat.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) I sink in deep mire;

there is no standing place;

I have come into the watery depths,

and a stream overflows me.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) I am weary of my crying;

my throat is parched;

my eyes fail

while I wait for my God.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Those who hate me without cause

are more than the hairs of my head;

they are mighty

who would destroy me, being my wrongful enemies,

so that I must pay back

what I did not steal.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) O God, You know my folly,

and my sins are not hidden from You.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) May those who wait on You,

O Lord God of Hosts,

not be ashamed because of me;

may those who seek You

not be humiliated because of me,

O God of Israel.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) Because for Your sake I have endured insult;

humiliation has covered my face.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) I have become estranged to my relatives,

and a foreigner to my mother's children;

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) for the zeal of Your house has consumedme,

and the insults of those who insulted You fell on me.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) When I wept with fasting for my soul,

it became an insult to me.

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) I also made sackcloth my garment,

and I became a byword to them.

12 Those who sit in the gate speak against me,

and I am the song of the drunkards.

13 But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord;

in an acceptable time, O God,

in the abundance of Your mercy,

answer me in the truth of Your salvation.

14 Deliver me out of the mire

that I may not sink;

may I be delivered from those who hateme,

and out of the watery depths.

15 May the stream not overflow me;

neither may the deep swallow me up,

nor the pit close its mouth on me.

16 Answer me, O Lord, for Your lovingkindness is good;

turn Your face to me according to the abundance of Your tender mercies.

17 Do not hide Your face from Your servant,

for I am in trouble; answer me quickly.

18 Draw near to my soul, and redeem it;

deliver me because of my enemies.

19 You have known how I am insulted, and my shame and my dishonor;

my adversaries are all before You.

20 Insults have broken my heart,

and I am sick;

and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none;

and for comforters, but I found none.

21 They also gave me poison for my food,

and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

22 May their table become a snare before them,

and may security become a trap.

23 May their eyes be darkened so they do not see,

and make their sides shake continually.

24 Pour out Your indignation on them,

and may Your wrathful anger overtake them.

25 May their habitation be desolate,

and may no one dwell in their tents.

26 For they persecute him whom You have struck down,

and they recount the pain of those You have wounded.

27 Add punishment to their iniquity,

and do not let them come into Your righteousness.

28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living,

and not be written along with the righteous.

29 But I am poor and in pain;

may Your salvation, O God, set me secure on high.

30 I will praise the name of God with a song,

and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.

31 This also will please the Lord

more than an ox or bull with horns and hoofs.

32 The humble will see this and be glad;

and you who seek God, may your heart live.

33 For the Lord hears the poor,

and does not despise His prisoners.

34 Let heaven and earth praise Him,

the seas and everything that moves in them.

35 For God will save Zion,

and will build the cities of Judah;

that they may dwell there, and take possession of it.

36 The descendants of His servants will inherit it;

and those who love His name will dwell in it.

Psalms 69

[1] Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.

[2] I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep

waters, where the floods overflow me.

[3] I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait

for my God.

[4] They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head:

they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then

I restored that which I took not away.

[5] O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

[6] Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my

sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of

Israel.

[7] Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.

[8] I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's

children.

[9] For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them

that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

[10] When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my

reproach.

[11] I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.

[12] They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the

drunkards.

[13] But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O

God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

[14] Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered

from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

[15] Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up,

and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

[16] Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according

to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

[17] And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me

speedily.

[18] Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine

enemies.

[19] Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine

adversaries are all before thee.

[20] Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked

for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found

none.

[21] They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me

vinegar to drink.

[22] Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have

been for their welfare, let it become a trap.

[23] Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins

continually to shake.

[24] Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take

hold of them.

[25] Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.

[26] For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the

grief of those whom thou hast wounded.

[27] Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy

righteousness.

[28] Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written

with the righteous.

[29] But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on

high.

[30] I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with

thanksgiving.

[31] This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath

horns and hoofs.

[32] The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that

seek God.

[33] For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.

[34] Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and everything that

moveth therein.

[35] For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they

may dwell there, and have it in possession.

[36] The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his

name shall dwell therein.

1 Make haste, O God, to deliver me!

Make haste to help me, O Lord.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) May those who seek my life

be ashamed and confused;

may those who desire my harm

be driven back and humiliated.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) May they turn back as a consequence of their shame

who say "Aha! Aha!"

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) May all those who seek You

rejoice and be glad in You;

and may those who love Your salvation continually say,

"God be magnified!"

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) But I am poor and needy;

make haste to me, O God!

You are my help and my deliverer;

O Lord, do not delay!

Psalms 70

[1] Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.

[2] Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be

turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

[3] Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

[4] Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such

as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

[5] But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and

my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

Psalms 86

A Prayer of David.

1 Incline Your ear, O Lord, and answer me,

for I am oppressed and needy.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Preserve my soul, for I am godly;

You are my God; save Your servant

who trusts in You.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Have mercy on me, O Lord,

for to You I cry all day long.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Gladden the soul of Your servant,

for to You, O Lord,

I lift my soul.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) For You, Lord, are good, and forgiving,

abounding in kindness to all who call on You.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer,

and attend to my plea for mercy.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) In the day of my trouble I will call upon You,

for You will answer me.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord;

neither are there any works like Your works.

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) All nations whom You have made

shall come and worship before You, O Lord,

and shall glorify Your name.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) For You are great and do wondrous deeds;

You are God alone.

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Teach me Your way, O Lord,

that I will walk in Your truth;

bind my heart

to fear Your name.

12 I will give You thanks, O Lord my God, with all my heart,

and I will glorify Your name forever.

13 For great is Your mercy toward me,

and You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.

14 O God, insolent men have risen against me,

and bands of violent men have sought my life;

they have not set You before them.

15 But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion and gracious,

slow to anger, and abundant in mercy and truth.

16 Turn to me and have mercy on me;

give Your strength to Your servant,

and save the humble son of Your female servant.

17 Show me a sign of Your favor,

that those who hate me may see it and be ashamed

because You, Lord, have helped and comforted me.

Psalms 86

[1] Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

[2] Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that

trusteth in thee.

[3] Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

[4] Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my

soul.

[5] For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy

unto all them that call upon thee.

[6] Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my

supplications.

[7] In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

[8] Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there

any works like unto thy works.

[9] All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O

Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

[10] For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

[11] Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to

fear thy name.

[12] I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will

glorify thy name for evermore.

[13] For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from

the lowest hell.

[14] O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent

men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

[15] But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious,

longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

[16] O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy

servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

[17] Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be

ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

PSALMS 101

A Psalm of David.

1 I will sing of mercy and justice;

to You, O Lord, I will sing.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) I will consider the path that is blameless.

When will You come to me?

I will walk within my house

with a perfect heart.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) I will set no wicked thing

before my eyes.

I hate the work of those who turn aside;

it shall not have part of me.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) A perverted heart shall be far from me;

I will not know anything wicked.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Whoever privately slanders his neighbor,

him I will destroy;

whoever has a haughty look and a proud heart

I will not endure.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) My eyes shall be favorable to the faithful in the land,

that they may live with me;

he who walks in a blameless manner,

he shall serve me.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) He who practices deceit

shall not dwell within my house;

he who tells lies

shall not remain in my sight.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Every morning I will destroy

all the wicked in the land,

that I may cut off all wicked doers

from the city of the Lord.

Psalms 101

[1] I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.

[2] I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto

me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

[3] I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them

that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

[4] A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

[5] Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that

hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

[6] Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell

with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

[7] He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth

lies shall not tarry in my sight.

[8] I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all

wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

2 Corinthians 2:12-17

Paul's Anxiety in Troas

12 (Ac 14:27; 16:8) Furthermore, when I came to Troas

to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened to me by the Lord,

13 (2Co 7:5-6; 12:18) I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find

Titus my brother. So taking my leave of them, I went from there

into Macedonia.

14 (SS 1:3; 2Co 8:16) Now thanks be to God who always causes

us to triumph in Christ and through us reveals the fragrance

of His knowledge in every place.

15 (1Co 1:18; Eze 20:41) For we are to God a sweet fragrance

of Christ among those who are saved and among those who perish.

16 (Lk 2:34; Jn 9:39) To the one we are the fragrance of death,

which brings death, and to the other the fragrance of life,

which brings life. Who is sufficient for these things?

17 (2Co 4:2; 1:12) For we are not as many are who peddle

the word of God. Instead, being sent by God, we sincerely speak

in Christ in the sight of God.

[12] Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door

was opened unto me of the Lord,

[13] I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but

taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.

[14] Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ,

and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

[15] For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved,

and in them that perish:

[16] To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the

savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

[17] For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of

sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

After I became a believer in Jesus, I shared the gospel with my mother.

Instead of making a decision to trust Jesus, as I expected, she stopped

speaking to me for a year. Her bad experiences with people who claimed to

follow Jesus made her distrust believers in Christ. I prayed for her and

reached out to her weekly. The Holy Spirit comforted me and continued working

on my heart as my mom gave me the silent treatment. When she finally answered

my phone call, I committed to loving her and sharing God's truth with her

whenever I had the opportunity. Months after our reconciliation, she said I'd

changed. Almost a year later, she received Jesus as her Savior, and, as a

result, our relationship deepened.

Believers in Jesus have access to the greatest gift given to humanity-Christ.

The apostle Paul says we're to "spread the aroma of the knowledge of him

everywhere" (2 Corinthians 2:14). He refers to those who share the gospel as

"the pleasing aroma of Christ" to those who believe, but acknowledges we reek

of death to those who reject Jesus (vv. 15-16).

After we receive Christ as our Savior, we have the privilege of using our

limited time on earth to spread His life-changing truth while loving others.

Even during our hardest and loneliest moments, we can trust He'll provide what

we need. No matter what the personal cost, God's good news is always worth

sharing.

someone who reacted in a negative way? How did God bring you close to someone

after you both connected as believers in Jesus?

Week 2 - Saved by Grace - Day 4 - Entire Forgiveness

Acts 13:38

38 (Lk 24:47; Ac 2:38) "Therefore, brothers, let it be known

to you that through this Man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,"

38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren,

that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

At age 17 Mary, a cross-country runner, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

She went on to college, faced with the prospect of gradual physical decline

and, ultimately, life in a wheelchair. "The worst part," Mary admitted "is

not the pain or the inability to do what I once did. The worst part is

the hopelessness, the emotional struggle. There is no cure, no real

treatment - only insurance."

In our fallen world, there are many incurable circumstances we have to endure.

But the guilt of our sin is not one of them. Yet despite the declaration

of the Scripture that Jesus' sacrificial death paid the price for our sins,

many of us carry a load of guilt - as if we ourselves had tp pay the price.

Paul, a man who know the grace of God and the depth of his own sin,

emphasises the source and the completeness of our forgiveness.

Through Jesus - not through my good behaviour, not through my determination to

change, not through my reputation, my family's faith, or my religious duties.

Forgiveness of sins come through Christ alone, a gift we do not deserve,

a gift which places all of us on equal ground at the foot of the cross.

To acknowledge our sin without knowing the source of forgiveness only

results in hopelessness and despair - we see ourselves, yet we are powerless

to change the sin we see. But when we realise that Christ has provided

complete forgiveness of sin, we can face our sin honestly, knowing

the freedom of confession and the restoration of forgiveness.

Application

a) In what ways have I changed myself, to "turn over a new leaf",

to "make myself worthy" of God's love?

b) How can Acts 13:38 help me remember the source of forgiveness?

4) Prosperity verses from Kenneth Copeland

Joshua 1:8

8 (Ps 19:14; 119:15) This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth.

Meditate on it day and night so that you may act carefully according to all

that is written in it. For then you will make your way successful,

and you will be wise.

8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt

meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according

to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,

and then thou shalt have good success.

5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

When you are discouraged or Depressed

Matthew 11: 25-30

25 (Ps 8:2; Jn 11:41) At that time Jesus said, "I thank You, O Father,

Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things

from the wise and prudent and revealed them to infants.

26 Even so, Father, for it seemed good in Your sight.

27 (Jn 10:15; Mt 28:18; Jn 1:18) "All things are delivered to Me

by My Father, and no one knows the Son, except the Father.

And no one knows the Father, except the Son and he to whom

the Son will reveal Him.

28 (Jn 7:37; 6:37) "Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavily

burdened, and I will give you rest.

29 (Jer 6:16; Jn 13:15) Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me.

For I am meek and lowly in heart,

and you will find rest for your souls.(Jer 6:16).

30 (1Jn 5:3) For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light."

because He has dealt bountifully with me.

The Hidden Revelation

25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father,

Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things

from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man

knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father,

save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek

and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Remember God's promises when You pray

The Lord's prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

9 "Therefore pray in this manner:

Our Father who is in heaven,

hallowed be Your name.

10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;

Your will be done

on earth, as it is in heaven.

11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.

12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors.

13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

6) This come from Praying for Muslims in Canada 2015 (Is there a 2022 edition?)

Ontario

Quick facts on Muslims in Ontario

Ontario 2015 population 13 687 7000

est Muslim Population 1 001 542

CNMM Networks: Ottawa, Durham, York, Toronto, Mississauga, Halton, Hamilton,

Niagara, Kitchener, London, Windsor

Ontario has 55% of all of Canada's entire Muslim population. This means that

the whole of the Muslim world is represented somewhere in this province. Most

Muslims are understandably located along the southern border stretching

from Windsor eastward all the way up to Ottawa. Yet Muslims are constantly

resettling in more and more suburban and even small towns of Ontario. Mosques

are springing up, and where there are enough gathered, Islamic schools

are starting.

And they're not complacent, either. Many Islamic leaders are energetic in their

advancement of Islam in Canadian society. Recently in the Niagara Region,

the local mosque distributed via Canada Post as many as 50000 full-colour

brochures on Islam. An that mosque's Facebook page proudly show pictures of

"reverts", or white Canadians who have converted to Islam as a result of

receiving the flier and engaging with the mosque community. Another town

reports Muslims going door-to-door evangelism.

Agree in prayer for:

- net network leaders - the need is great

- the development of network leadership teams

- good connections with local pastors, congregations and individuals

whom God is calling into this ministry.

- wisdom facilitating outreach and training activities for mobilising

believers

- new full and part-time workers among Muslims throughout all these areas

- for pastors and churches to respond not in fear, but full of faith and love

towards Muslims, sharing Jesus with them.

Adding further

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020

Under the Keep Praying page

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month

and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days

of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that

usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,

of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be

decorated and festivals will be held.

For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the

distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of

Islam.

You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",

which means Blessed Eid!"

Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you

know, and Muslims around the world:

- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions

in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about

unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such

movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three

decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim

relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,

"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;

your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

18 Even on My menservants and maidservants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.

19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:

blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,

and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

Footnotes

Acts 2:21 Joel 2:28-32.

- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective

discipleship movements among Muslim people.

- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for

Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a

hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under

a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the

house."

Ideas for prayer

- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you

- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving

Christ among Muslim people -

Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."

- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims

throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

And

Thank you for praying through the

5 Days of Prayer for Sikhs.

"My name is Kam. I'm 29 years of age, and I grew up Sikh. As a teenager,

I struggled with depression, brokenness, and addiction to

cannabis. I didn't know how to stop or how to get help.

Then a friend invited me to church. As I spent time with Christians

and heard the message of the Gospel, I experienced the

love of Jesus Christ, and it was like nothing I'd known before.

One night I had a dream where I saw Him - a figure surrounded by

light who I knew was Jesus, the light of the world.

As I began to understand the gospel message, I encountered a reassuring and

confident solution to the problem of sin. I knew that I needed a solution

to my sin problem, and I gave my life to Christ.

Slowly, God began to heal my broken heart and my addiction.

Nine years have passed, and I am a devoted husband and a father

to two beautiful boys. I grow deeper in love with Jesus each day.

I ask you to continue praying with me, and others around the world, for Sikhs.

God is the only one who can draw people to Himself. He works in and through

the prayers of His people. I want Sikhs to know the freedom

and healing that is only available through Jesus Christ."

13 (Ro 14:17; 12:12) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy

and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope,

through the power of the Holy Spirit.

[13] Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that

ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

ROMANS 15:13

My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further

call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity

(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .
