Romans 3
Righteousness Through Faith
21 (Ac 10:43; Ro 1:17) But now, apart from the law, the righteousness
of God is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets.
22 (Ro 10:12; Gal 3:28) This righteousness of God comes through faith
in Jesus Christ (Or through the faith of Jesus Christ.) to all
and upon all who believe, for there is no distinction.
23 (Ro 3:9) For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,
24 (Ro 4:16; Col 1:14) being justified freely by His grace through
the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
25 (Ac 17:30; 1Jn 2:2) whom God has set forth to be a propitiation
through faith, in His blood, for a demonstration of His righteousness,
because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins previously
committed,
26 to prove His righteousness at this present time so that He might
be just and be the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.
27 (Ro 2:17; 2:23) Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law?
Of works? No, but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith
without the works of the law.
29 Is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles?
Yes, of the Gentiles also,
30 (Gal 3:8; 3:20) seeing it is one God, who shall justify the circumcised
by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.
31 (Mt 5:17; Ro 8:4) Do we then make the law void through faith? God forbid!
Instead, we establish the law.
[21] But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being
witnessed by the law and the prophets;
[22] Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto
all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
[24] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in
Christ Jesus:
[25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his
blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past,
through the forbearance of God;
[26] To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be
just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
[27] Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but
by the law of faith.
[28] Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the
deeds of the law.
[29] Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of
the Gentiles also:
[30] Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith,
and uncircumcision through faith.
[31] Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we
establish the law.
Luke 1:68
68 "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
for He has visited and redeemed His people,"
68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel;
For he hath visited and redeemed his people,
Isaiah 43:1
1 (Isa 43:7; 44:2) But now, thus says the Lord
who created you, O Jacob,
and He who formed you, O Israel:
Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name; you are Mine.
1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob,
and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee,
I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
Redemption - it means to bring someone back into the family, however there is
a price to pay.
Hosea 1:1-3
1 (Isa 1:1; Mic 1:1; Am 1:1) The word of the Lord that came to Hosea son
of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah,
and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
Hosea's Wife and Children
2 (Hos 3:1; Dt 31:16) When the Lord first spoke by Hosea, the Lord said
to Hosea: "Go, take for yourself a wife of harlotry and children of harlotry,
for the land has committed great harlotry, departing from the Lord."
3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim as a wife. She conceived, and bore him a son.
1 The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days
of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days
of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said
to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms:
for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.
3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim;
which conceived, and bare him a son.
Hosea 3
Hosea Redeems His Wife
1 (Jer 3:20; Hos 1:2-3) Then the Lord said to me, "Go, again, love a woman
who is loved by a lover and is committing adultery, just as the Lord loves
the children of Israel, who look to other gods and love raisin cakes."
2 (Lev 27:16; Eze 45:11) So I purchased her for myself for fifteen shekels
of silver, and for a homer of barley, and a half homer of barley.
3 (Dt 21:13) Then I said to her, "You will remain with me many days.
You will not play the whore, and you will not belong to another man.
And also I will be with you."
Isaiah 53
4 (Mt 8:17; Jn 19:7) Surely he has borne our grief
and carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 (Ro 4:25; 1Co 15:3) But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities;
the chastisement of our peace was upon him,
and by his stripes we are healed.
6 (Ps 69:4; 1Pe 2:25) All of us like sheep have gone astray;
each of us has turned to his own way,
but the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised
for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one
to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Prayer
Lord Jesus I am so sorry for choosing sin over you. I don't want to do that
anymore. You know me and you love me, and because of that you died for me,
that one day I can be with you forever. I repent of all that I have
done wrong, thank you for what you have done for me, and I want to live
for you for the rest of my life. Amen.
