Who is the Holy Spirit?

A) He was involved In Creation

1) Genesis chapters 1 to 3

The Creation

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was

formless and void,[a] darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the

Spirit of God was moving[b] over the surface of the water.

(God came into being on his own please note)

3 God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

4 God saw that the light was good,

and God separated the light from the darkness.

5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night.

So the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters,

and let it separate the waters from the waters." 7 So God made the expanse

and separated the waters which were under the expanse from the waters

which were above the expanse. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse Heaven.

So the evening and the morning were the second day.

9 Then God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together

into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so.

10 God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters

He called Seas. Then God saw that it was good.

11 Then God said, "Let the earth produce vegetation:[c] plants yielding seed

and fruit trees on the earth yielding fruit after their kind with seed in them.

" And it was so. 12 The earth produced vegetation, plants yielding seed after

their kind and trees yielding fruit with seed in them after their kind. And God

saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate

the day from the night, and let them be signs to indicate seasons, and days,

and years. 15 Let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light

on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights: the greater light

to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.

17 Then God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,

18 to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the

darkness. Then God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning

were the fourth day.

20 Then God said, "Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures

and let the birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens."

21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves,

with which the waters swarmed, according to their kind, and every winged

bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

22 Then God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill

the waters in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."

23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to

their kinds: livestock, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth

according to their kinds." And it was so.

25 So God made the beasts of the earth according to their kind,

and the livestock according to their kind, and everything that

creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness,

and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds

of the air, and over the livestock, and over all the earth,

and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

27 So God created man in His own image;

in the image of God He created him;

male and female He created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish

the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds

of the air and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

29 Then God said, "See, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is

on the face of all the earth and every tree which has fruit yielding seed.

It shall be food for you. 30 To every beast of the earth and to every bird

of the air and to everything that creeps on the earth which has the breath

of life in it, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.

31 God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.

So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Genesis 1

[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

[2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face

of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

[3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

[4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from

the darkness.

[5] And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the

evening and the morning were the first day.

[6] And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and

let it divide the waters from the waters.

[7] And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the

firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

[8] And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning

were the second day.

[9] And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto

one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

[10] And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the

waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

[11] And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed,

and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself,

upon the earth: and it was so.

[12] And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his

kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind:

and God saw that it was good.

[13] And the evening and the morning were the third day.

[14] And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to

divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons,

and for days, and years:

[15] And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light

upon the earth: and it was so.

[16] And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and

the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

[17] And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the

earth,

[18] And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light

from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

[19] And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

[20] And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature

that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament

of heaven.

[21] And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth,

which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every

winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

[22] And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the

waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

[23] And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

[24] And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his

kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and

it was so.

[25] And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after

their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and

God saw that it was good.

[26] And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let

them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,

and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing

that creepeth upon the earth.

[27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he

him; male and female created he them.

[28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and

multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the

fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing

that moveth upon the earth.

[29] And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which

is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit

of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

[30] And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to

every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have

given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

[31] And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very

good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Laws of Inheritance

Nu 36:1-12

1 (Nu 26:33) Then came near the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher,

the son of Gilead, the son of Makir, the son of Manasseh,

of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and these are

the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah, and Tirzah.

2 They stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest,

and before the leaders and all the assembly by the door of the tent

of meeting, saying,

3 (Nu 26:64-65; 14:35) "Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not

in the company of them that gathered against the Lord, in the company

of Korah, but died in his own sin and had no sons.

4 (Jos 17:4) Why should the name of our father diminish from among

his family, because he has no son? Give to us a possession

among the brothers of our father."

5 Moses brought their case before the Lord.

6 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right.

You will certainly give them an inheritance among their father's brothers,

and you will cause the inheritance of their father to pass on to them.

8 You will speak to the children of Israel, saying, "If a man dies,

and has no son, then you will cause his inheritance

to pass on to his daughter.

9 If he has no daughter, then you will give his inheritance to his brothers.

10 If he has no brothers, then you will give his inheritance

to his father's brothers.

11 (Nu 35:29; Ru 4:3-6) If his father has no brothers, then you will give

his inheritance to his closest kinsman in his family, and he will possess it.

And it will be for the children of Israel a statute of judgment,

as the Lord commanded Moses."

Joshua to Succeed Moses

12 (Nu 33:47-48) The Lord said to Moses, "Go up into this mountain of Abarim,

and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.

13 (Nu 31:2; Dt 10:6_ When you have seen it, you also will be gathered

to your people as Aaron your brother was gathered.

14 (Ex 17:7; Nu 20:24) For you rebelled against My commandment in

the Wilderness of Zin when the congregation argued against Me.

You did not show My holiness at the waters before their eyes." (

These are the waters of Meribah in Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.)

15 Moses spoke to the Lord, saying,

16 (Nu 16:22) "Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh,

appoint a man over the assembly

17 (Dt 31:2; 1Ki 22:17) who will go out before them,

and who will go in before them, and who will lead them out,

and who will bring them in, so the assembly of the Lord

will not be like sheep who do not have a shepherd."

18 (Dt 34:9; Ge 41:38; Nu 27:23) The Lord said to Moses,

"Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit,

and lay your hand on him,

19 (Dt 3:28) and cause him to stand before Eleazar the priest

and before all the assembly, and command in their sight.

20 (Jos 1:16-18) You will put some of your majesty on him,

in order that all the assembly of the children of Israel will listen.

21 (Ex 28:30; Jos 9:14) He will stand before Eleazar the priest,

who will ask for him about the judgment of the Urim before the Lord.

At his word will they go out, and at his word they will come in, both

he and all the children of Israel with him, even all the assembly."

22 Moses did as the Lord commanded him, and he took Joshua,

and he caused him to stand before Eleazar the priest

and before all the assembly.

23 (Nu 27:19) And he laid his hands on him

and commanded him as the Lord spoke by the hand of Moses.

for one bull, 2/10 of an ephah for one ram,

29 1/10th of an ephah for each of the seven lambs;

31 (Nu 28:19) Make sure they are without blemish.

You will offer them with their drink offerings,

besides the regular burnt offering and its grain offering.

Numbers 28

[1] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

[2] Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my

bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savour unto me, shall ye

observe to offer unto me in their due season.

[3] And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye

shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by

day, for a continual burnt offering.

[4] The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb shalt

thou offer at even;

[5] And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a meat offering, mingled with

the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil.

[6] It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for

a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.

[7] And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an hin for

the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be

poured unto the LORD for a drink offering.

[8] And the other lamb shalt thou offer at even: as the meat offering of the

morning, and as the drink offering thereof, thou shalt offer it, a sacrifice

made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

[9] And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two

tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink

offering thereof:

[10] This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt

offering, and his drink offering.

[11] And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering

unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first

year without spot;

[12] And three tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil,

for one bullock; and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled

with oil, for one ram;

[13] And a several tenth deal of flour mingled with oil for a meat offering

unto one lamb; for a burnt offering of a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by

fire unto the LORD.

[14] And their drink offerings shall be half an hin of wine unto a bullock,

and the third part of an hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of an hin unto a

lamb: this is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the

year.

[15] And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be

offered, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.

[16] And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the

LORD.

[17] And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall

unleavened bread be eaten.

[18] In the first day shall be an holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of

servile work therein:

[19] But ye shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering unto

the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first

year: they shall be unto you without blemish:

[20] And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: three tenth

deals shall ye offer for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram;

[21] A several tenth deal shalt thou offer for every lamb, throughout the

seven lambs:

[22] And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you.

[23] Ye shall offer these beside the burnt offering in the morning, which is

for a continual burnt offering.

[24] After this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the

meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: it

shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink

offering.

[25] And on the seventh day ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do

no servile work.

[26] Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering

unto the LORD, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy convocation;

ye shall do no servile work:

[27] But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD;

two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year;

[28] And their meat offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals

unto one bullock, two tenth deals unto one ram,

[29] A several tenth deal unto one lamb, throughout the seven lambs;

[30] And one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you.

[31] Ye shall offer them beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat

offering, (they shall be unto you without blemish) and their drink

offerings.

2) Our Daily Bread for 6 March 2022

https://odb.org/CA/2022/03/06/tongue-tied

entitled Tongue-Tied in Prayer

Romans 8:22-27

22 (Jer 12:11; 12:4) We know that the whole creation groans

and travails in pain together until now.

23 (Ro 7:24; 8:19) Not only that, but we also, who have the first fruits

of the Spirit, groan within ourselves while eagerly waiting for adoption,

the redemption of our bodies.

24 (1Th 5:8; Heb 11:1) For we are saved through hope, but hope that is

seen is not hope, for why does a man still hope for what he sees?

25 (1Th 1:3) But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it

with patience.

26 (Eph 6:18; Mt 20:22; Zec 12:10) Likewise, the Spirit helps us

in our weaknesses, for we do not know what to pray for as we ought,

but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

27 (Ro 8:34; Rev 2:23) He who searches the hearts knows what the mind

of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according

to the will of God.

[22] For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain

together until now.

[23] And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of

the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the

adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

[24] For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a

man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

[25] But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for

it.

[26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what

we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession

for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

[27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the

Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will

of God.

When my baby brother underwent surgery, I was concerned. My mother explained

that "tongue-tie" (ankyloglossia) was a condition he was born with and that

without help, his ability to eat and eventually to speak would be hindered.

Today we use the term tongue-tied to describe being at a loss for words or too

shy to speak.

Sometimes we can be tongue-tied in prayer, not knowing what to say. Our

tongues tie up in spiritual clichés and repetitive phrases. We arrow our

emotions heavenward, wondering if they will reach God’s ears. Our thoughts

zigzag along an unfocused path.

Writing to first-century Roman believers in Christ, the apostle Paul addressed

what to do when we struggle to know how to pray, inviting us to find help from

the Holy Spirit. "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we

know not what

we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession

for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." (Romans 8:26). The concept

of "help" here is to carry a heavy load. And "wordless groans" indicates

an interceding presence as the Spirit carries our needs to God.

When we're tongue-tied in prayer, God's Spirit helps shape our confusion,

pain, and distraction into the perfect prayer that moves from our hearts to

God's ears. He listens and answers, bringing the exact kind of comfort

we may not have known we needed until we asked Him to pray for us.

Week 1 Knowing God's Word Day 1 - God's Perspective

Philip 4:13

13 (2Co 12:9-10; Eph 3:16) I can do all things because

of Christ who strengthens me.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Many of us live out self-fulfilling prophecies. We believe

what we tell ourselves - or what we have been told by others:

"You're stupid", "You're ugly", "You'll never amount to anything,"

"You can't do anything right."

We programme ourselves for spiritual failure as well.

"I just can't memorise Scripture," we say. "It comes and goes,

and I can't seem to get it to stay." Yet daily we memorise

volumes of information that is less significant than the

Scriptures - telephone numbers, identification codes,

songs lyrics, advertising jingles.

The answer to the dilemma of negativism is not positive

thinking, but right thinking - biblical thinking, according

to what the Bible reveals of God's perspective. God says,

"You are worthwhile. You are valued. You are loved. I created you

just as you are, and whatever I call you to do,

I will give you the strength to do it.

The context of Phillipians 4:13 shows that Paul had learned

this important secret of spiritual strength. Paul had known

poverty and plenty, trouble and victory. But he also knew

he did not have to let circumstances determine his response to God's will.

We need not be controlled by the negative messages life throws in our paths

- even those self-defeating pronouncements we make to ourselves.

Rather, we can respond according to God's perspective, with the

conviction that God has given us strength we need to meet the

challenges we face.

Application

a) What challenges do I face that make me realise my own insufficiencies?

IS memorising Scripture one of those challenges for me?

b) How does today's memory verse help me face those challenges?

4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland

Mark 4:20-25

20 (Mk 4:8; Jn 15:4–5) "Still others are seed sown on good ground,

those who hear the word, and receive it, and bear fruit:

thirty, sixty, or a hundred times as much."

A Light Under a Basket

Lk 8:16-18

21 (Mt 5:15; Lk 8:16) He said to them, "Is a candle brought to be put

under a basket or under a bed and not to be set on a candlestick?

22 (Lk 8:17) For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed;

neither is anything kept secret except to be proclaimed.

23 (Mk 4:9; Mt 11:15)If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."

24 (Mt 7:2) He said to them, "Take heed what you hear.

The measure you give will be measured for you,

and to you who hear will more be given.

25 (Mt 13:12; Lk 8:18) For to him who has will more be given.

And from him who has not will be taken, even what he has."

20 And these are they which are sown on good ground;

such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit,

some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

21 And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put

under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?

22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested;

neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.

23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete,

it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

25 For he that hath, to him shall be given:

and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

God's Help in Times of Temptation

Hebrews 4:14-16

Jesus the Great High Priest

14 (Heb 6:20; 1:2-3) Since then we have a great High Priest

Who has passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God,

let us hold firmly to our confession.

15 (2Co 5:21; Jn 8:46) For we do not have a High Priest

who cannot sympathise with our weaknesses,

but One who was in every sense tempted like we are, yet without sin.

16 (Eph 3:12; Php 4:6-7) Let us then come with confidence

to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy

and find grace to help in time of need.

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest,

that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God,

let us hold fast our profession.

15 For we have not an high priest

which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities;

but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

16 Let us therefore come boldly

unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy,

and find grace to help in time of need.

Remember God's promises when You pray

The Lord's prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

9 "Therefore pray in this manner:

Our Father who is in heaven,

hallowed be Your name.

10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;

Your will be done

on earth, as it is in heaven.

11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.

12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors.

13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Saskatchewan

Quick facts on Muslims in Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan 2015 population 1125400

est Muslim Population 17279

CNMM Networks: Saskatoon

Saskatoon has seen quick growth in its Muslim population over the past

5 years, which maybe as high as 5000 today. Islamic leaders have

focused specifically on this city , having twice already sent cohorts

of about 70 families to start mosques. There are now 7 Islamic centres

of worship and an ISlamic madrassah (school) located right next to a

Christian school.

Of particular concern recently is the number of young adults who grew up

in evangelical churches and converted to Islam. Most of these are young

women whowere wooed by Muslim man and became emotionally bonded.

Both prior to and after marrying, these women are known to convert to ISlam.

Agree in prayer with us for:

- entire congregations and individual believers to catch God's heart

and passion for reaching Muslims in Saskatoon and the other growing

Muslim population centres of Saskatchewan.

- for the eyes and understanding of Canadian youth to be opened to the

spiritual reality of Islam, and not deceived nor manipulated into

converting to a religion which cannot offer assurance of salvation.

- for the few workers among Muslims now engaged there, and for many more

to be raised up into effective witness.

- for prayer and training events that are starting in Saskatoon

to spread and grow to other cities.

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020

Under the Keep Praying page

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month

and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days

of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that

usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,

of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be

decorated and festivals will be held.

For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the

distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of

Islam.

You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",

which means Blessed Eid!"

Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you

know, and Muslims around the world:

- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions

in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about

unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such

movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three

decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim

relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,

"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;

your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

18 Even on My menservants and maidservants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.

19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:

blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,

and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

Footnotes

Acts 2:21 Joel 2:28-32.

- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective

discipleship movements among Muslim people.

- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for

Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a

hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under

a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the

house."

Ideas for prayer

- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you

- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving

Christ among Muslim people -

Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."

- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims

throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further

call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity

(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

7) Prayers for the nation (Canada) coming from Prayer map of Canada

http://www.ehc.ca

6th Day of the Month

a) Pray for a more effective witness by the church in every Canadian community

(

Deut 4:6-7

6 (Job 28:28; Pr 1:7 ) Therefore, keep and do them, for this is your wisdom and

your understanding in the sight of the nations which shall hear all these

statutes, and say, "Surely this great nation is a wise and

understanding people."

7 (2Sa 7:23; Ps 46:1) For what nation is there so great, who has a god so near

to it as the Lord our God is in all things whenever we call on Him?

6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and

your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these

statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and

understanding people.

7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them,

as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

Matt 5:13-16

13 (Lev 2:13; Lk 14:34-35) "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt

loses its saltiness, how shall it be made salty? It is from then on good for

nothing but to be thrown out and to be trampled underfoot by men.

14 (Jn 8:12; Pr 4:18) "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a

hill cannot be hidden.

15 (Mk 4:21; Lk 8:16) Neither do men light a candle and put it under a basket,

but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the house.

16 (1Pe 2:12; Mt 9:8; Jn 15:8) Let your light so shine before men that they

may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour,

wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing,

but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set

on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on

a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,

and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Acts 1:8

8 (Mt 28:19; Mk 16:15) "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes

upon you. And you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and

Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:

and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,

and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

b) Pray for the province of British Columbia

I) Pray for the leaders of Alberta, that God's Spirit would influence then to

act justly, serve with integrity and honour high moral standards.

( 1 Tim 2:1 - 4) 1 Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications,

prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone, 2 (Ezr 6:10) for kings

and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life

in all godliness and honesty, 3 (1Ti 1:1; Lk 1:47) for this is good and

acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 (Eze 18:23; 18:32)who desires all

men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,

intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 for kings,

and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable

life in all godliness and honesty. 3For this is good and acceptable

in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 who will have all men to be saved,

and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

II) Pray for the churches of the province, that they would be lighthouses

beaming forth the illuminating truth of God's Word.

III) Pray that the Lord would use the Finding the Hope Campaign and booklet

to turn many hearts to Jesus

Pray for a more effective witness by the church in every community.

Pray that persecuted Christians in Mauritania eill perservere

and retain their eternal hope in Christ.
