1 Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord,

who by night stand in the house of the Lord.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Lift up your hands in the sanctuary,

and bless the Lord.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) May the Lord who made heaven and earth

bless you from Zion.

Psalms 146

1 Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord, O my soul!

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) While I live I will praise the Lord;

I will sing praises unto my God while I have my life.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Do not put your trust in princes,

nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) His breath leaves him, and he returns to the earth;

on that very day his plans perish.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Blessed is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,

whose hope is in the Lord his God,

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) who made heaven, and earth,

the sea, and all that is in them,

who keeps faithfulness forever,

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) who executes justice for the oppressed,

who gives food to the hungry.

The Lord releases the prisoners.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;

the Lord raises those who are brought down;

the Lord loves the righteous.

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2 )The Lord preserves the sojourners;

He lifts up the fatherless and widow,

but on the way of the wicked He brings disaster.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) The Lord shall reign forever,

your God, O Zion, unto all generations.

Praise you the Lord!

Psalms 147

1 Praise the Lord!

For it is good to sing praises unto our God;

for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) The Lord builds up Jerusalem;

He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) He heals the broken in heart,

and binds up their wounds.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) He counts the number of the stars;

He calls them all by their names.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Great is our Lord and great in power;

His understanding is without measure.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9 )The Lord lifts up the meek;

He casts the wicked down to the ground.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving;

sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) who covers the heaven with clouds,

who provides rain for the earth,

who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2 ) He gives food to the animals

and to the young ravens that chirp.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) He delights not in the strength of the horse,

nor does He take pleasure in the legs of a man,

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him,

in those who hope in His mercy.

12 Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem;

praise your God, O Zion.

13 For He has strengthened the bars of your gates;

He has blessed your children within you.

14 He makes peace in your borders,

and fills you with the finest of the wheat.

15 He sends forth His commandment on the earth;

His word goes out swiftly.

16 He gives snow like wool;

He scatters the frost like ashes;

17 He casts forth His ice like morsels;

who can stand before His cold?

18 He sends out His word and melts them;

He causes His wind to blow and the waters flow.

19 He shows His word to Jacob,

and His statutes and His judgments to Israel.

20 He has not dealt so with any other nation;

they have not known His judgments.

Praise the Lord!

Psalms 148

He has made a decree that shall not pass away.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) Praise the Lord from the earth,

you great sea creatures, and all you depths,

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) fire and hail, snow and mist,

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2 ) mountains and all hills,

fruitful trees and all cedars;

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) animals and all cattle,

creeping things and flying birds;

11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) kings of the earth and all peoples,

princes and all rulers of the earth;

12 both young men and maidens,

old men and children.

13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,

for His name alone is excellent;

His glory is above the earth and heaven.

14 He has raised up a victory horn for His people,

praise for all His saints,

even for the people of Israel near Him.

Praise the Lord!

Psalms 149

Sing unto the Lord a new song,

and His praise in the assembly of the godly ones.

let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Let them praise His name with dancing;

let them sing praises unto Him with the tambourine and harp.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;

He will beautify the meek with salvation.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Let the godly ones be joyful in glory;

let them sing for joy on their beds.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Let the high praises of God be in their mouths,

and two-edged swords in their hands,

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) to execute vengeance on the nations,

and punishments on the peoples;

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) to bind their kings with chains,

and their nobles with shackles of iron;

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) to execute upon them the written judgment;

this is honor for all His godly ones.

2) Our Daily Bread for 14 June 2021

entitled The Power of God

PSALMS 121

A Song of Ascents.

1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills,

from where does my help come?

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) My help comes from the Lord,

who made heaven and earth.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) He will not let your foot slip;

He who keeps you will not slumber.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Behold, He who guards Israel

shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) The Lord is your guardian;

the Lord is your shade at your right hand.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8–9) The sun shall not harm you during the day,

nor the moon during the night.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) The Lord shall protect you from all evil;

He shall preserve your soul.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) The Lord shall preserve your going out

and your coming in from now and for evermore.

Rebecca and Russell’s doctors told them they couldn't have children.

But God had other ideas-and ten years later Rebecca conceived.

The pregnancy was a healthy one; and when the contractions started,

the couple excitedly rushed to the hospital. Yet the hours of labor grew

long and more intense, and Rebecca's body still wasn't progressing

enough for delivery. Finally, the doctor decided she needed to perform

an emergency C-section. Fearful, Rebecca sobbed for her baby and herself.

The doctor calmly assured her, saying, "I will do my best, but we're going

to pray to God because He can do more"” She prayed with Rebecca,

and fifteen minutes later, Bruce, a healthy baby boy, was born.

That doctor understood her dependence on God and His power.

She recognized that although she had the training and skill to do the surgery,

she still needed God’s wisdom, strength,

and help to guide her hands (Psalm 121:1–2).

It's encouraging to hear about highly skilled people, or of anyone,

who recognise they need Him-because, honestly, we all do. He's God;

we're not. He alone "is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask

or imagin"” (Ephesians 3:20). Let's have a humble heart to learn from Him

and to trust Him in prayer "because He can do more" than we ever could.

Reflect & Pray

How have you gained an understanding of your own need for God and His power?

How is this dependence seen in your daily life?

I need You and Your wisdom and power, God,

for decisions, skill, work, relationships-all of my life.

Week 3 - Saved Now and Forver - Day 2 - The Right of Family

John 1:11-12

11 (Jn 3:32) He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him.

12 (Gal 3:26; 1Jn 3:23) Yet to all who received Him, He gave the power

to become sons of God, to those who believed in His name,

"Dad, can I ask you something?" Jimmy leaned across the back of his

father's chair. HIs father lowered the newspaper and reached around,

settling Jimmy on his lap.

"Sure. Son," he answered. "You can ask me anything you want. The answer

might not be Yes, butyou always have the right to ask."

For many who have grown up in homes where the father was absent, or when

present, abusive or silent, the scenario of Jimmy and his father may

seem unrealistic. Often we aren't given the right by our parents to ask

what we want, to communicate openly, to express our needs and desires.

But god clearly indicates that no matter what our human families have been

like, in his family there are no barriers to belonging,

to open communications. When we commit our lives to Christ and submit to his

lordship, we have the right to become the sons and daughters of God.

In Christ, we have the right to approach him, to pray, to seek wisdom,

to ask advice, to make requests, to verbalise our needs and desires. We don't

have to be afraid of sounding stupid or being rejected, because in Christ

we belong to him, and he loves us.

The KJV uses the word "power" in verse 12 - "to then gave he power to become

the sons of God." Power implies ability, that we are equipped by the Spirit

to be children of the King. We have the right and we have the power to become

who God has called us to be - his children.

Application

a) Under what circumstances in my life have I felt that I didn't

have the right to express my wishes or feelings?

b) How do today's verses give me confidence in approaching God?

4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland

Gen 17:5-7

5 (Ne 9:7; Ge 17:15) No longer will your name be called Abram,

but your name will be Abraham, for I have made you the father

of a multitude of nations.

6 (Ge 35:11; 17:16) I will make you exceedingly fruitful;

and I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.

7 (Ge 26:24; 28:13; Heb 11:16) I will establish My covenant between Me

and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations

for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.

5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

God's Unfailing Love

Ps 63:1-5

PSALMS 63

A Psalm of David, when he was in the Wilderness of Judah.

1 O God, You are my God;

early will I seek You;

my soul thirsts for You,

my flesh faints for You,

in a dry and thirsty land

with no water.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) I have seen You in the sanctuary,

to see Your power and Your glory.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,

my lips will praise You.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Thus will I bless You while I live;

I will lift up my hands in Your name.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) My soul will be satisfied as with marrow and fatness,

and my mouth will praise You with joyful lips.

Remember God's promises when You pray

The Lord's prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

9 "Therefore pray in this manner:

Our Father who is in heaven,

hallowed be Your name.

10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;

Your will be done

on earth, as it is in heaven.

11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.

12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors.

13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

6) This come from Praying for Muslims in Canada 2015 (Is there a 2021 edition?)

Quebec

Quick facts on Muslims in Quebec

Quebec 2015 population 8214 000

est Muslim Population 418946

CNMM Networks: Montreal

There is a growing Muslim population in Quebec City and a smattering

os Muslims scattered aound the rest of the province, yet the vast majority

of Muslims live in the greater Montreal area. n fact, 23% of Canada's Muslim

population live in Quebec. Why is that? It is largely because Francophone

African Muslims are atrracted to La Belle Provence.

And here's an interesting, perhaps even shocking fact: There are more

Muslims in Montreal than there are evangelical Christians.

This is one demographic factor creates a challenging environment for churches

and believers here: The size of the available 'workforce' is small

by comparison to begin with. Believers are already is a host culture that

is often either indifferent to releigion or resistant to it. And now

this 'new' religious community of Muslims - many of whom do not visibly

or socially conform to Quebec society - are a growing population. It might br

easy for Christians to feel overwhlem by this cultural double-whammy,

yet God has alsways worked miracles through the small, the few.

Agree in prayer for :

- The people of Quebec, Muslim or otherwise, to be open to the Gospel

- for Muslims who are encountering believers and responding

-for a new group of Muslim background believers who are meeting

together for worship!

- For pastors and believers to be full of passion, faith and vision for

reaching Muslims in Quebec.

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020

Under the Keep Praying page

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month

and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days

of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that

usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,

of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be

decorated and festivals will be held.

For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the

distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of

Islam.

You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",

which means Blessed Eid!"

Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you

know, and Muslims around the world:

- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions

in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about

unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such

movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three

decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim

relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 12 They were all amazed and perplexed, saying to each other,

"What does this mean?"

13 (1Co 14:23) Others mocking said, "These men are full of new wine."

Peter's Speech at Pentecost

14 (Ac 1:26) But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice

and said to them, "Men of Judea and all you who dwell in Jerusalem,

let this be known to you, and listen to my words.

15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose,

since it is the third hour of the day.

16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 (Isa 44:3; Ac 10:45) 'In the last days it shall be,' says God,

'that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;

your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

your young men shall see visions,

and your old men shall dream dreams.'

- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective

discipleship movements among Muslim people.

- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for

Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a

hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under

a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the

house."

Ideas for prayer

- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you

- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving

Christ among Muslim people -

Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."

- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims

throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further

call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity

(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, atheists, secular humanists, ...) .
