Day 110 - 20 April 2021 reflections

Day 110, 20 Apr 2021

Ps 121,123,124,125,128,129,130

PSALMS 121

A Song of Ascents.

1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills,

from where does my help come?

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) My help comes from the Lord,

who made heaven and earth.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) He will not let your foot slip;

He who keeps you will not slumber.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Behold, He who guards Israel

shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) The Lord is your guardian;

the Lord is your shade at your right hand.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) The sun shall not harm you during the day,

nor the moon during the night.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) The Lord shall protect you from all evil;

He shall preserve your soul.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) The Lord shall preserve your going out

and your coming in

from now and for evermore.

PSALMS 123

A Song of Ascents.

1 To You I lift up my eyes,

O You who dwell in the heavens.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Behold, as the eyes of servants look

to the hand of their master,

and as the eyes of a maiden to the hand of her mistress,

so our eyes look upon the Lord our God,

until He has mercy upon us.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us,

for we have been completely filled with contempt.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Our soul is exceedingly filled with

the ridicule of those who are at ease,

and with the contempt of the proud ones.

PSALMS 124

A Song of Ascents. Of David.

1 If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,

now may Israel say,

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) if it had not been the Lord who was on our side,

when men rose up against us,

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) then they would have swallowed us up,

when their wrath was kindled againstus;

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) then the flood would have overwhelmedus,

the torrent would have passed over our lives;

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) then the surging waters

would have gone over us.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Blessed be the Lord,

who has not given us for a prey to their teeth.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) We have escaped

as a bird out of the snare of the hunters;

the snare is broken,

and we have escaped.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Our help is in the name of the Lord,

who made heaven and earth.

PSALMS 125

A Song of Ascents.

1 Those who trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion,

which cannot be removed, but abides forever.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) As the mountains are around Jerusalem,

so the Lord surrounds His people,

from now and forever.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) For the scepter of the wicked shall not rest

upon the land allotted to the righteous,

lest the righteous put forth

their hands to do iniquity.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Do good, O Lord, for those who are good,

and to those who are upright in their hearts.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) As for those who turn aside to their twisted ways,

the Lord shall lead them away with the other workers of iniquity.

Peace be upon Israel!

PSALMS 128

A Song of Ascents.

1 Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,

who walks in His ways.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) For you shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands;

you will be happy, and it shall be well with you.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Your wife shall be as a fruitful vine

in your house,

your children like olive shoots

around your table.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Behold, this man shall be blessed

who fears the Lord.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) The Lord shall bless you from Zion,

and may you see the welfare of Jerusalem

all the days of your life.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Indeed, may you see your children's children.

Peace upon Israel!

PSALMS 129

A Song of Ascents.

1 "Often they have afflicted me from my youth,"

may Israel now say,

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) "often they have afflicted me from my youth,

yet they have not prevailed againstme.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) The plowmen plowed upon my back;

they made their furrows long."

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) The Lord is righteous;

He has cut the cords of the wicked.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Let all those be shamed

and turned back who hate Zion.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Let them be as the grass on the housetops,

which withers before it even grows,

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) where the reaper is unable to fill his hand,

or he who binds sheaves, his arms.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Neither do they who pass by say,

"The blessing of the Lord be upon you;

we bless you in the name of the Lord!"

PSALMS 130

A Song of Ascents.

1 From the depths I call on You, O Lord!

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) O Lord, hear my voice;

let Your ears be attentive

to the sound of my supplications.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) If you, O Lord, should keep track of iniquities,

O Lord, who shall stand?

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) For there is forgiveness with You,

that You may be feared.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) I wait for the Lord, with bated breath I wait;

I long for His Word!

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) My soul waits for the Lord,

more than watchmen for the morning,

more than watchmen for the morning.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) Let Israel wait for the Lord!

For mercy is found with the Lord;

with Him is great redemption.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) He shall redeem Israel

from all their iniquities.

2) Our Daily Bread for 20 Apr 2021

https://odb.org/CA/2021/04/20/jesus-promise-to-you

entitled Jesus' Promise to You

John 14:15-21,25–27

The Promise of the Spirit

15 (Eph 6:24) "If you love Me, keep My commandments.

16 (Jn 15:26; 14:26; 1Jn 2:1) I will pray the Father, and He will give

you another Counselor, that He may be with you forever:

17 (Jn 15:26; 16:13; 1Co 2:14) the Spirit of truth, whom the world

cannot receive, for it does not see Him, neither does it know Him.

But you know Him, for He lives with you, and will be in you.

18 (Jn 14:3) I will not leave you fatherless. I will come to you.

19 (Jn 7:33; 16:16) Yet a little while and the world will see Me no more.

But you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also.

20 (Jn 10:38; 14:10) On that day you will know that I am in My Father,

and you are in Me, and I am in you.

21 (Jn 14:15; 16:27) He who has My commandments and keeps them

is the one who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father.

And I will love him and will reveal Myself to him."

25 "I have spoken these things to you while I am still with you.

26 (Jn 15:26; 16:7) But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit,

whom the Father will send in My name,

will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.

27 (Jn 16:33; Php 4:7; Col 3:15) Peace I leave with you.

My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

Jason wailed as his parents handed him over to Amy.

It was the two-year-old's first time in the nursery

while Mom and Dad attended the service-and he was not happy.

Amy assured them he'd be fine. She tried to soothe him with toys

and books, by rocking in a chair, walking around, standing still,

and talking about what fun he could have. But everything was met

with bigger tears and louder cries. Then she whispered five simple

words in his ear: "I will stay with you." Peace and comfort quickly came.

Jesus offered His friends similar words of comfort during the week

of His crucifixion: "The Father . . . will give you another advocate

to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth" (John 14:16-17).

After His resurrection He gave them this promise: "Surely I am with

you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

Jesus was soon to ascend to heaven, but He would send the Spirit to "stay"

and live within His people.

We experience the Spirit’s comfort and peace when our tears flow.

We receive His guidance when we’re wondering what to do (John 14:26).

He opens our eyes to understand more of God (Ephesians 1:17-20),

and He helps us in our weakness and prays for us (Romans 8:26-27).

He stays with us forever.

Reflect & Pray

What do you need from the Holy Spirit today? How can knowing

He's always near help you?

How thankful I am that You remain always by my side, Jesus! I need You.

Week 3 - Saved Now and Forver - Day 3 - Inseperable From God's Love

Romans 8:38-39

38 (Eph 1:21; 1Pe 3:22) For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,

neither angels nor principalities nor powers, neither things present

nor things to come,

39 (Ro 5:8) neither height nor depth, nor any other created thing,

shall be able to separate us from the love of God,

which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Separation is a fact of human life. Relationships disintegrate,

children grow up, loved ones die, husbands and wifes divorce,

friends changes and drift apart. We may resist change and separation,

but we must deal with them nevretheless.

Separation sometimes is a natural result odf growth and development;

sometimes it is a violent, cataclysmic shakingof an individual's life.

2 lifelong friends go separate ways to college or into future careers;

a church splits over doctrinal differences; a wife finds out a hidden

secret in her husband's past.

But with God, there is no separation, no death, no breaking of vows,

no growing beyond the relationship. Nothing, says Paul, can separate

us from the love of God. A skeleton in my closet, once revealed, may

cost me the trust of those I thought were my friends. But God knows

all my past, all my sin; he forgives, and it cannot separate me from him.

My present personal struggles may cause trouble in my job and result in

the loss of that income, but God understands what I'm going through,

and even when I'm angry at him, he can take it without drawing away

or striking back. My present problems cannot separate me from the Lord.

And God knows, too, the plan he has established for my future. I cannot

walk away from him, grow beyond my need for him, or outrun him into

tomorrow.

She may separate me from my awareness of God's presence in my life,

but it cannot set me beyond his reach. There is no power that is greater

than God's love, and no place I can go that will separate me

from that love.

Application

a) Have I ever felt separated from the love of God? Under what circumstances?

b) How can today's verse free me from anxiety about the past,

the persent or the future?

4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland

Gen 17:5-7

5 (Ne 9:7; Ge 17:15) No longer will your name be called Abram,

but your name will be Abraham, for I have made you the father

of a multitude of nations.

6 (Ge 35:11; 17:16) I will make you exceedingly fruitful;

and I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.

7 (Ge 26:24; 28:13; Heb 11:16) I will establish My covenant between Me

and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations

for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.

5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

God's Unfailing Love

Ps 63:1-5

PSALMS 63

A Psalm of David, when he was in the Wilderness of Judah.

1 O God, You are my God;

early will I seek You;

my soul thirsts for You,

my flesh faints for You,

in a dry and thirsty land

with no water.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) I have seen You in the sanctuary,

to see Your power and Your glory.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,

my lips will praise You.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Thus will I bless You while I live;

I will lift up my hands in Your name.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) My soul will be satisfied as with marrow and fatness,

and my mouth will praise You with joyful lips.

Remember God's promises when You pray

The Lord's prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

9 "Therefore pray in this manner:

Our Father who is in heaven,

hallowed be Your name.

10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;

Your will be done

on earth, as it is in heaven.

11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.

12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors.

13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

6) This come from Praying for Muslims in Canada 2015 (Is there a 2021 edition?)

Manitoba

Quick facts on Muslims in Manitoba

Saskatchewan 2015 population 1 282 000

est Muslim Population 21 349

CNMM Networks: Winnipeg

The Muslim population of Manitoba, understandably centred in Winnipeg, is very

diverse and represents some 48 different cultural and ethinic backgrounds.

Conservative estimates put their number at 21000 , with some suggesting

it might be twice that size.

Some outreach among Muslims has started, yet in comparison to the size

of this community, there is the need and opportunity for far more engagement.

Continued influx of new immigrants and refugees continues to see the growth

of this Muslim centre in Manitoba.

We rejoice in the Arabic fellowship meeting there and the energetic workers

among Muslims in Winnipeg.

Let us intercede in unity for:

- new Christian workers among Manitoba's growing Muslim population

- new church ministries focused on prayer, equipping and reaching Muslim

communities around them, as well as training new workers

- the Arabic fellowship and their ministries of discipiling new Muslim

background believers and for effectiveness in outreach

- for the recent Somali woman who found faith in Jesus and stood her ground

in the face of opposition to her new faith.

- for current workers among Muslims to be blessed, refreshed and encouraged

with great support

HURDLES TO FAITH

MUSLIMS IN DALLAS-FORT WORTH

The Gospel has reached people in nearly every tribe and tongue,

fulfilling Christ's promise:

"I will call them my people who were not my people" (Romans 9:25).

But Muslims must jump three significant hurdles on their path to faith in Christ.

Hurdle 1) Clearly hearing and understanding the Gospel.

Many never hear Christ's message clearly presented or compellingly lived out.

Hurdle 2) Overcoming false Islamic teachings that the Bible is corrupted.

That Jesus did not die. That belief in the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost

constitutes polytheism. Etc.

Hurdle 3) Believing and trusting in Jesus, which often results

in persecution or rejection by the Islamic community.

A personal crisis may compel an individual to jump a few of these

hurdles at once, but each person's journey is different, as I witnessed

with Abdul, one of several imams serving a mosque

in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

It may seem counterintuitive, but there's a higher percentage of Muslims

in Texas than any other state. Muslims make up 1.68 percent of people in Texas.

(Census figures reveal that there are 422,000 Muslims in Texas,

up from 140,000 in 1990, and it’s estimated that 60,000-100,000 Muslims

live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, most of Pakistani heritage.)

A Christian worker shared the Gospel with Abdul in the mosque.

Soon, the two began meeting for discussions about the Bible.

Abdul found the Bible interesting, but not compelling. Then came crisis.

He was wrongly forced out of his imam position, which exposed him

to the hypocrisy of the other mosque members. And he needed to leave DFW

for work.

It's more difficult for the two men to stay in touch now,

but Abdul is reading some Christian books he was given.

Pray for more trained followers of Jesus to engage Muslims like Abdul

with the hope and love of Christ.

Pray that God raises up workers from local churches to be trained

and mobilized to share the gospel with Muslims (Luke 10:2).

2 (2Th 3:1) He said to them, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers

are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into

His harvest. "

Pray that the Holy Spirit grants understanding and courage

to Abdul and others to clear the second and third hurdles.

(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, atheists, secular humanists, ...) .

7) Prayers for the nation (Canada) coming from Prayer map of Canada

20th Day of the Month

a) Pray for the children of Canada, that they would come to know

Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord.

(

Matthew 19:14

14 (Mt 18:3; Lk 18:16–17)

But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me,

and do not forbid them. For to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."

)

b) Pray that Christians will recognise that our struggle is not

against the natural world but against invisible spiritual forces.

(

Eph 6:12

12 (Eph 1:3; 1:21) For our fight is not against flesh and blood,

but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers

of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces

of evil in the heavenly places.

)

Conclusion:

Pray to the Lord to seek Help for he will let you succeed.

Pray to the Lord a prayer of thanks of being always being near you..

Pray to the Lord a parayer of thanks for His love to you.

Pray to the Lord to obey his covenant!
