Isaac went to Abimelek king of the Philistines in Gerar. 2 The Lord appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt. Live in the land of which I will tell you. 3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and will bless you; for I will give to you and all your descendants all these lands, and I will fulfill the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.
12 Then Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; the Lord blessed him.
Isaac stays in a famine and reaped a reward.

Eliphaz Speaks: Job Has Sinned
1Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered:
2(Job 32:18–20) “If one attempts a word with you, will you be impatient?
But who can keep from speaking?
3(Isa 35:3) Surely you have instructed many,
and you have strengthened the weak hands.
4(Heb 12:12) Your words have raised up him who was falling,
and you have fortified the feeble knees.
5(Job 19:21) But now it comes upon you, and you are weary;
it reaches even you, and you are terrified.

And the integrity of your ways your hope?

Eliphaz: Job Is Chastised by God
1(Job 15:15) “Call out now; is anyone answering you?
And to whom among the holy ones will you turn?
2 For anger slays the foolish man,
and jealousy kills the gullible.
3(Ps 37:35–36; 73:18–20) Yes, I saw the foolish taking root,
and quickly I cursed his dwelling.
4 (Ps 119:155; 127:5) May his children be far from safety,
and may they be crushed in the gate without a deliverer;
5 whose harvest the hungry eats up,
and takes it even out of the thorns,
and the thirsty captures his wealth.
6 For affliction does not come out of the dust,
nor does trouble sprout up out of the ground;
7 (Job 14:1; Ge 3:17–19) but man is born to trouble,
as the sparks fly upward.

and before God I would set forth my case,

Job Replies: My Complaint Is Just

and my calamity laid with it on the scales!

therefore my words are stuck in my throat.

Or the ox bellow over his fodder?

Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?

and that God would grant me the thing that I long for!

25 How forceful are right words!
But what does your arguing prove?

and treat my desperate words as wind?

and you bargain over your friend.
28“And now, please give me your attention,
for surely I will not lie to you.

Yes, turn again, my righteousness still stands!

Jesus the Resurrection and the Life
17(Jn 11:39)When Jesus arrived, He found that he had been in the tomb four days already. 18 Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, less than two miles away. Gk. 15 stadia, or about 3 kilometers. 19 (Job 2:11; Jn 11:31)Many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. 20(Lk 10:38–42)When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met Him, but Mary remained in the house.

Recently, my car needed work. The mechanic’s shop was close, a mile from my home. So I decided to just walk home. But as I shuffled along next to a bustling thoroughfare, I noticed something: Everyone else was moving so fast.
This isn’t rocket science. Cars go faster than pedestrians. Zip, zip, zip! As I ambled home, I had a realization: We’re so used to moving fast. All the time. Then, another realization: I often expect God to move just as quickly. I want His plans to fit my speedy timetable.
When Jesus lived on earth, His seemingly slow pace sometimes disappointed His friends. In John 11, Mary and Martha sent word that their brother, Lazarus, was sick. They knew Jesus could help (vv. 1–3). But He arrived some four days later (v. 17), after Lazarus had died. “ ‘Lord,’ Martha said to Jesus, ‘if you had been here, my brother would not have died’ ” (v. 21). Translation: Jesus didn’t move fast enough. But He had bigger plans: raising Lazarus from the dead (vv. 38–44).
Can you relate to Martha’s desperation? I can. Sometimes, I long for Jesus to move more quickly to answer a prayer. Sometimes, it seems like He’s late. But Jesus’ sovereign schedule is different from ours. He accomplishes His saving work on His timetable, not ours. And the ultimate outcome displays His glory and goodness in ways that are so much greater than our plans.

Reflect & Pray
When have you been disappointed that Jesus seemingly didn’t answer a prayer, only to realize He was accomplishing something bigger? How did that realization affect your perception of God and His sovereignty?
Father, sometimes I get so impatient. Help me to trust in Your perfect timing and to cling to Your goodness in faith.

Teena, a college freshman, has just committed her life to Christ, but she was apprehensive about telling anyone – until Bill appeared on the scene. He plunked his coffee cup down on the table and smiled. “I heard something exciting happened to you yesterday, Teena”
“Yeah”, Teena paused and looked around, as if seeking an escape route. “I , uh, well, I did it”
“Did what?”
“Well, I, ah, gave my life to God.”
“That’s wonderful1” Bill exclaimed. Hew was still talking with Teena and encouraging he in her decision when Maria walked by.
“Maria!” Bill called. “Teena wants to tell you something!”
Teena gasped , open-mouthed, then stammered, “ I – I committed my life to Christ.”
Maris , similarly enthuasiatic, encouraged Teena in her commitment, and within half an hour Teena was stopping her friends to tell them, “Guess what? I’ve become a Christian! I belng to Jesus now!”
Teena had already surrendered her heart to Christ. But when she confessed her decision aloud to others, the truth of that transformation was confirmed by her.
Many of us have been raised to believe that “faith is a private matter”, not to be discussed in polite company. Yet Paul makes clear the connection between heart commitment and verbal confession. Just as my love for family and friends deepens as I tell them I love them, so a person’s love for Christ is confirmed and stabilised by speaking of that commitment to others.

2015 Population - 4631302 Muslims about 136493
British Columbia - British Columbia's Muslim Population is growing constantly.
Every week there are immigrants ad refugees coming to the Greater Vancouver
and surrounding areas. There are also significant Muslim student populations
in our colleges and universities. Some have even suggested that there are
between 4000 and 5000 Saudi Arabian students alone, without counting all
other nationalities.
Greater Vancouver has an estimated 180000 Muslims, and there are significant
and growing communities in the Fraser Valley such as in Langley, Abbotsford,
Chilliwack, etc. Including these communities the total population for this
region is about 200000.
Of these, there are an estimated 100000 Iranians, 35000 Arabs, 15000 Ismailis,
more than 20000 Afghanis, 10000 South Asian Muslims, 3000 Turks, and small
numbers from other countries such as Sudan, Somalia, Albania, etc.
We are seeing some Muslims coming to Christ and we rejoice in that.
A few people also have some ongoing ministry to Muslims in the area,
for which we also rejoice. Let us agree in that
- the church will catch a vision to pray,
and a burden to train outreach to Muslims
- the church will press in to participate in effective
discipleship of these new Muslim background believers.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

discipleship movements among Muslim people.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for
Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

Ideas for prayer
- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!
My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further
call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

a) Pray for the province of Alberta as follows:
I) Pray for the leaders of Alberta, that God’s Spirit would influence then to act justly, serve with integrity and honour high moral standards. ( 1 Tim 2:1 – 4 1 Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone, 2 (Ezr 6:10) for kings and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty, 3(1Ti 1:1; Lk 1:47) for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 (Eze 18:23; 18:32)who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
II) Pray for the churches of the province, that they would be lighthouses beaming forth the illuminating truth of God’s Word.
III) Pray that the Lord would use the Finding the Hope Campaign and booklet to turn many hearts to Jesus
b) Pray for the Holy Spirit to bring conviction of sin and Canadian to faith in Christ. ( John 16:8 - When He comes, He will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment: , Matthew 9:36 - But when He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they fainted and were scattered, like sheep without a shepherd )
Conclusion:
Pray for your friends and Family.
Pray for your dreams and guidance from the Lord
Pray to seek the Lord’s timing in everything.
Pray to be a bold witness in the Lord.
Remember to pray to be prosperous like Joseph in Egypt.
Pray for forgiveness of sins and repentance.

Jesus the Resurrection and the Life

Recently, my car needed work. The mechanic’s shop was close, a mile from my home. So I decided to just walk home. But as I shuffled along next to a bustling thoroughfare, I noticed something: Everyone else was moving so fast.
This isn’t rocket science. Cars go faster than pedestrians. Zip, zip, zip! As I ambled home, I had a realization: We’re so used to moving fast. All the time. Then, another realization: I often expect God to move just as quickly. I want His plans to fit my speedy timetable.
When Jesus lived on earth, His seemingly slow pace sometimes disappointed His friends. In John 11, Mary and Martha sent word that their brother, Lazarus, was sick. They knew Jesus could help (vv. 1–3). But He arrived some four days later (v. 17), after Lazarus had died. “ ‘Lord,’ Martha said to Jesus, ‘if you had been here, my brother would not have died’ ” (v. 21). Translation: Jesus didn’t move fast enough. But He had bigger plans: raising Lazarus from the dead (vv. 38–44).
Can you relate to Martha’s desperation? I can. Sometimes, I long for Jesus to move more quickly to answer a prayer. Sometimes, it seems like He’s late. But Jesus’ sovereign schedule is different from ours. He accomplishes His saving work on His timetable, not ours. And the ultimate outcome displays His glory and goodness in ways that are so much greater than our plans.

When have you been disappointed that Jesus seemingly didn’t answer a prayer, only to realize He was accomplishing something bigger? How did that realization affect your perception of God and His sovereignty?
Father, sometimes I get so impatient. Help me to trust in Your perfect timing and to cling to Your goodness in faith.

Teena, a college freshman, has just committed her life to Christ, but she was apprehensive about telling anyone – until Bill appeared on the scene. He plunked his coffee cup down on the table and smiled. “I heard something exciting happened to you yesterday, Teena”
“Yeah”, Teena paused and looked around, as if seeking an escape route. “I , uh, well, I did it”
“Did what?”
“Well, I, ah, gave my life to God.”
“That’s wonderful1” Bill exclaimed. Hew was still talking with Teena and encouraging he in her decision when Maria walked by.
“Maria!” Bill called. “Teena wants to tell you something!”
Teena gasped , open-mouthed, then stammered, “ I – I committed my life to Christ.”
Maris , similarly enthuasiatic, encouraged Teena in her commitment, and within half an hour Teena was stopping her friends to tell them, “Guess what? I’ve become a Christian! I belng to Jesus now!”
Teena had already surrendered her heart to Christ. But when she confessed her decision aloud to others, the truth of that transformation was confirmed by her.
Many of us have been raised to believe that “faith is a private matter”, not to be discussed in polite company. Yet Paul makes clear the connection between heart commitment and verbal confession. Just as my love for family and friends deepens as I tell them I love them, so a person’s love for Christ is confirmed and stabilised by speaking of that commitment to others.

British Columbia - British Columbia's Muslim Population is growing constantly.
Every week there are immigrants ad refugees coming to the Greater Vancouver
and surrounding areas. There are also significant Muslim student populations
in our colleges and universities. Some have even suggested that there are
between 4000 and 5000 Saudi Arabian students alone, without counting all
other nationalities.
Greater Vancouver has an estimated 180000 Muslims, and there are significant
and growing communities in the Fraser Valley such as in Langley, Abbotsford,
Chilliwack, etc. Including these communities the total population for this
region is about 200000.
Of these, there are an estimated 100000 Iranians, 35000 Arabs, 15000 Ismailis,
more than 20000 Afghanis, 10000 South Asian Muslims, 3000 Turks, and small
numbers from other countries such as Sudan, Somalia, Albania, etc.
We are seeing some Muslims coming to Christ and we rejoice in that.
A few people also have some ongoing ministry to Muslims in the area,
for which we also rejoice. Let us agree in that
- the church will catch a vision to pray,
and a burden to train outreach to Muslims
- the church will press in to participate in effective
discipleship of these new Muslim background believers.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective
discipleship movements among Muslim people.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for
Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

Ideas for prayer
- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!
My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further
call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

3nd Day of the Month
a) Pray for the province of Alberta as follows:
I) Pray for the leaders of Alberta, that God’s Spirit would influence then to act justly, serve with integrity and honour high moral standards. ( 1 Tim 2:1 – 4 1 Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone, 2 (Ezr 6:10) for kings and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty, 3(1Ti 1:1; Lk 1:47) for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 (Eze 18:23; 18:32)who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
II) Pray for the churches of the province, that they would be lighthouses beaming forth the illuminating truth of God’s Word.
III) Pray that the Lord would use the Finding the Hope Campaign and booklet to turn many hearts to Jesus
b) Pray for the Holy Spirit to bring conviction of sin and Canadian to faith in Christ. ( John 16:8 - When He comes, He will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment: , Matthew 9:36 - But when He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they fainted and were scattered, like sheep without a shepherd )
Conclusion:
Pray for your friends and Family.
Pray for your dreams and guidance from the Lord
Pray to seek the Lord’s timing in everything.
Pray to be a bold witness in the Lord.
Remember to pray to be prosperous like Joseph in Egypt.
Pray for forgiveness of sins and repentance.
