1 Praise the Lord!
Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good,
for His mercy endures forever.
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Who can recount the mighty acts of the Lord
or declare all His praise?
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Blessed are those who keep justice
and who do righteousness at all times.

HEBREWS 11
Faith
1 (2Co 4:18; 5:7) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the men of old obtained a good report.
3 (Jn 1:3; Ro 4:17) By faith we understand that the universe
was framed by the word of God, so that things that are seen
were not made out of things which are visible.
4 (Mt 23:35; Heb 12:24) By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent
sacrifice than Cain offered. Through this he was approved as righteous,
with God testifying concerning his gifts. He still speaks through his faith,
though he is dead.
5 (2Ki 2:11; Jude 1:14) By faith Enoch was taken to heaven so that he would
not see death. He was not found, because God took him away.
For before he was taken, he had this commendation, that he pleased God.
6 (1Ch 28:9; Jer 29:13-14) And without faith it is impossible to please God,
for he who comes to God must believe that He exists
and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Historians say the Atomic Age began on July 16, 1945,
when the first nuclear weapon was detonated in a remote desert of New Mexico.
But Greek philosopher Democritus (c. 460-370 bc) was exploring the existence
and power of the atom long before the invention of anything that could even
see these tiny building blocks of the universe. Democritus comprehended
more than he could see and atomic theory was the result.
The Scriptures tell us that the essence of faith is embracing what can't be seen.
Hebrews 11:1 affirms, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen." This assurance isn't the result of wishful
or positive thinking. It’s confidence in the God we can't see
but whose existence is the truest reality in the universe.
His reality is displayed in His creative works (Psalm 19:1)
and made visible by revealing His invisible character and ways in His Son,
Jesus, who came to show the Father’s love to us (John 1:18).
This is the God in whom "we live and move and have our being,"
as the apostle Paul put it (Acts 17:28). As such, "we live by faith,
not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). Yet we don’t walk alone.
The unseen God walks with us every step of the way.

Reflect & Pray
In a world where seeing is believing, in what ways do you struggle
to live by faith in God? What has strengthened your faith,
and in what areas do you need to rest in Him more fully?
Father, sometimes it’s a struggle to believe what I can't see. Nevertheless,
You've promised Your faithful love and that You'll never leave me
or forsake me. Help me to rest in that promise.

In the old Days of Television Western, we could always tell who the enemy was. The bad
guys wore black hats; the evil villain had a scar across
his cheek or a patch over one eye. But real life is
not quite so simple . Emenies come in many forms, and often are not easy to
recognise. Sin is an enemy; even those we love can seek to undermine our faith;
modern meterialism and distorted values lead us away from biblical principles.
These enemies may not seek our death in a physical sense,
but their influence results in spritual death or, at the very least,
immaturity.
Yet God promises to rescue us from our enemies. David describes the Lord as a
"rock", a "shield", a "stronghold", and a "refuge". God provides a stable foundation
for our faith; he products us from the attacks of the enemy; he offers a place
of rest in battle.
Our battles are usually not physical ones, but rather spiritual and emotional wars.
We struggle with difficult relationships, the burdens of the past, the subtle accusations
of the devil.
But these enemies can be overcome. David says, "I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise" .
When we turn to the Lord, trust his Word, acknowledge his
worthiness, we put our own problems and difficulties in perspective. We see that God is able
to rescue us, and has promised to do so. And as we resond to his grace by focusing
on him, we abandon trust in ourselves and allow him to do what he promised.

Ontario has 55% of all of Canada's entire Muslim population. This means that
the whole of the Muslim world is represented somewhere in this province. Most
Musslims are understandably located along the southern border stretching
from Windsor eastward all the way up to Ottawa. Yet Muslims are constantly
resettling in more and more suburban and even small towns of Ontari. Mosques
are springing up, and where there are enough gathered, Islamic schools
are starting.
And they're not comlacent, either. Many Islamic leaders are energetic in their
advancement of Islam in Canadian society. Recently in the Niagara Region,
the local mosqoe distributed via Canada Post as many as 50000 full-colour
brochures on Islam. An that mosque's Facebook page proudly show pictures of
"reverts", or white Canadians who havve converted to Islam as a result of
receiving the flier and engaging with the mosque community. Antoerh town
reports Muslims going door-to-door evangelism.
Agree in prayer for:
- net network leaders - the need is great
- the development of network leadership teams
- good connectiosn with local pastors, congregations and individuals
whom God is calling into this ministry.
- wisdom facilitating outreach and training activities for mobilising
believers
- new full and part-time workers among Muslims throughout all these areas
- for pastors and churches to respond not in fear, but full of faith and love
towards Muslims, sharing Jesus with them.

AN OASIS IN SAUDI ARABIA’S SPIRITUAL DESERT
STUDY IN U.S. BRING EXPOSURE TO GOSPEL
A vast desert covers Saudi Arabia. This barren physical landscape is
a metaphor for the spiritual condition of a people with little access
to Christ's living water. The Saudi government works to silence the Gospel
in the country, which is 93 percent Muslim, but God's Spirit finds creative
ways to cross borders.
In 2005, King Abdullah began sending thousands of college students
to distinguished universities around the world. The program was so popular
that nearly every extended Saudi family has participated.
The program has been educational in many ways. For the first time
in their lives, thousands of Saudi students have the chance to hear the Gospel,
ask questions about religion, and explore the Bible on their own.
Fifteen years later, King Abdullah's students are back home
and bearing spiritual fruit. Ahmed is one example.
While studying in the U.S., Ahmed was "adopted" by a Christian family
that invited him into their home and spent time with him.
Ahmed soon became a big brother to the family's children.
Ahmed also listened as the family prayed, watched as they had family
devotions after dinner, and asked questions about their faith.
As he studied the Bible with them, he began to believe in Jesus.
Now back in Saudi Arabia, he is fulfilling the promise of Jesus:
" [Isa 58:11; Jn 4:14] He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said,
out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.†(John 7:38).
Ahmed has become an oasis for those around him,
sharing the water of hope as the Spirit leads.
Pray that more Saudi students will meet Christians in the U.S.
who can help them come to know Christ.
Pray that God will draw the hearts of Saudis
to himself through dreams and visions.
Pray that God will grow the underground church
in Saudi Arabia by growing disciples and converting the lost.
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, atheists, secular humanists, ...) .

Pray that Jeremiah’s prophecies about the ancient Kingdom
of Elam (Iran) continue to be fulfilled today.
Pray that more Saudi students will meet Christians in the U.S.
who can help them come to know Christ.
Pray that God will draw the hearts of Saudis

Pray that God will grow the underground church

HEBREWS 11
Faith
1 (2Co 4:18; 5:7) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the men of old obtained a good report.
3 (Jn 1:3; Ro 4:17) By faith we understand that the universe
was framed by the word of God, so that things that are seen
were not made out of things which are visible.
4 (Mt 23:35; Heb 12:24) By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent
sacrifice than Cain offered. Through this he was approved as righteous,
with God testifying concerning his gifts. He still speaks through his faith,
though he is dead.
5 (2Ki 2:11; Jude 1:14) By faith Enoch was taken to heaven so that he would
not see death. He was not found, because God took him away.
For before he was taken, he had this commendation, that he pleased God.
6 (1Ch 28:9; Jer 29:13-14) And without faith it is impossible to please God,
for he who comes to God must believe that He exists
and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Historians say the Atomic Age began on July 16, 1945,
when the first nuclear weapon was detonated in a remote desert of New Mexico.
But Greek philosopher Democritus (c. 460-370 bc) was exploring the existence
and power of the atom long before the invention of anything that could even
see these tiny building blocks of the universe. Democritus comprehended
more than he could see and atomic theory was the result.
The Scriptures tell us that the essence of faith is embracing what can't be seen.
Hebrews 11:1 affirms, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen." This assurance isn't the result of wishful
or positive thinking. It’s confidence in the God we can't see
but whose existence is the truest reality in the universe.
His reality is displayed in His creative works (Psalm 19:1)
and made visible by revealing His invisible character and ways in His Son,
Jesus, who came to show the Father’s love to us (John 1:18).
This is the God in whom "we live and move and have our being,"
as the apostle Paul put it (Acts 17:28). As such, "we live by faith,
not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). Yet we don’t walk alone.
The unseen God walks with us every step of the way.

Reflect & Pray
In a world where seeing is believing, in what ways do you struggle
to live by faith in God? What has strengthened your faith,
and in what areas do you need to rest in Him more fully?
Father, sometimes it’s a struggle to believe what I can't see. Nevertheless,
You've promised Your faithful love and that You'll never leave me
or forsake me. Help me to rest in that promise.

In the old Days of Television Western, we could always tell who the enemy was. The bad
guys wore black hats; the evil villain had a scar across
his cheek or a patch over one eye. But real life is
not quite so simple . Emenies come in many forms, and often are not easy to
recognise. Sin is an enemy; even those we love can seek to undermine our faith;
modern meterialism and distorted values lead us away from biblical principles.
These enemies may not seek our death in a physical sense,
but their influence results in spritual death or, at the very least,
immaturity.
Yet God promises to rescue us from our enemies. David describes the Lord as a
"rock", a "shield", a "stronghold", and a "refuge". God provides a stable foundation
for our faith; he products us from the attacks of the enemy; he offers a place
of rest in battle.
Our battles are usually not physical ones, but rather spiritual and emotional wars.
We struggle with difficult relationships, the burdens of the past, the subtle accusations
of the devil.
But these enemies can be overcome. David says, "I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise" .
When we turn to the Lord, trust his Word, acknowledge his
worthiness, we put our own problems and difficulties in perspective. We see that God is able
to rescue us, and has promised to do so. And as we resond to his grace by focusing
on him, we abandon trust in ourselves and allow him to do what he promised.

Ontario has 55% of all of Canada's entire Muslim population. This means that
the whole of the Muslim world is represented somewhere in this province. Most
Musslims are understandably located along the southern border stretching
from Windsor eastward all the way up to Ottawa. Yet Muslims are constantly
resettling in more and more suburban and even small towns of Ontari. Mosques
are springing up, and where there are enough gathered, Islamic schools
are starting.
And they're not comlacent, either. Many Islamic leaders are energetic in their
advancement of Islam in Canadian society. Recently in the Niagara Region,
the local mosqoe distributed via Canada Post as many as 50000 full-colour
brochures on Islam. An that mosque's Facebook page proudly show pictures of
"reverts", or white Canadians who havve converted to Islam as a result of
receiving the flier and engaging with the mosque community. Antoerh town
reports Muslims going door-to-door evangelism.
Agree in prayer for:
- net network leaders - the need is great
- the development of network leadership teams
- good connectiosn with local pastors, congregations and individuals
whom God is calling into this ministry.
- wisdom facilitating outreach and training activities for mobilising
believers
- new full and part-time workers among Muslims throughout all these areas
- for pastors and churches to respond not in fear, but full of faith and love
towards Muslims, sharing Jesus with them.

AN OASIS IN SAUDI ARABIA’S SPIRITUAL DESERT
STUDY IN U.S. BRING EXPOSURE TO GOSPEL
A vast desert covers Saudi Arabia. This barren physical landscape is
a metaphor for the spiritual condition of a people with little access
to Christ's living water. The Saudi government works to silence the Gospel
in the country, which is 93 percent Muslim, but God's Spirit finds creative
ways to cross borders.
In 2005, King Abdullah began sending thousands of college students
to distinguished universities around the world. The program was so popular
that nearly every extended Saudi family has participated.
The program has been educational in many ways. For the first time
in their lives, thousands of Saudi students have the chance to hear the Gospel,
ask questions about religion, and explore the Bible on their own.
Fifteen years later, King Abdullah's students are back home
and bearing spiritual fruit. Ahmed is one example.
While studying in the U.S., Ahmed was "adopted" by a Christian family
that invited him into their home and spent time with him.
Ahmed soon became a big brother to the family's children.
Ahmed also listened as the family prayed, watched as they had family
devotions after dinner, and asked questions about their faith.
As he studied the Bible with them, he began to believe in Jesus.
Now back in Saudi Arabia, he is fulfilling the promise of Jesus:
" [Isa 58:11; Jn 4:14] He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said,
out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.†(John 7:38).
Ahmed has become an oasis for those around him,
sharing the water of hope as the Spirit leads.
Pray that more Saudi students will meet Christians in the U.S.
who can help them come to know Christ.
Pray that God will draw the hearts of Saudis
to himself through dreams and visions.
Pray that God will grow the underground church
in Saudi Arabia by growing disciples and converting the lost.
