The end of 2005/2006

This was not Wenger's best season. Arsenal finish 4th, has to qualify in 2 legs for UEFA CL 2006/2007. They can do it. Arsenal came runners up in the Champions Leauge.

Still Thierry Henry is committed to Arsenal till 2010. Robert Pires leaves for Villarreal and Tomas Rasicky comes in. A lot of work to be done.

As Ralph Klein retires

We know Ralph Klein will be replaced as leader in Nov 2006. Still we know Preston Manning is not running and that Jim Dinning is. Will the new leader call a snap election? Depends if Stephen Harper does first.

Edmonton Oilers ahead to the Stanley Cup

Canada represented at the Stanley from the TRUE Alberta City. Not since 1990 has Edmonton been to the Stanley Cup!!! Edmonton takes out Ducks in 5 Games. We await the verdict from Buffalo/Carolina. There is a possibilty that Doug Weight could be plying on Edmonton Ice as well as a possibility of Sherwood Park's Cam Ward.

16 Jan 2006 Edmonton 1 Buffalo 3 at Rexall

and

did not play Carolina in the Regular Season.

Time for the NHL to adapt an English Premiership Tabletime so that all teams can face each other once home and once away per season.
