Day 1
Welcome to Glasgow!
Today you can rest after your flight. If you feel awake enough, you have the option of an afternoon walking tour around Glasgow's trendy old city. In the evening we will meet all our fellow travellers at the welcome cocktail and dinner.

Day 2
After a morning visit to the Burrell Collection in Glasgow we will drive on to the engineering feat that is the Falkirk Wheel. Art or machine? You decide.
After settling in at your hotel on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, you will be treated to dinner in one of Edinburgh's many fabulous restaurants. Travellers in august will also have the chance to experience the Edinburgh Festival and the Military Tattoo.

Day 3
We will begin the day by visiting one of Scotland's most important landmarks: Edinburgh Castle. In the afternoon, you can explore the city at your leisure. If you would rather hear more about the history of the city, join us on a walking tour of the Royal Mile.

Day 4
Today we visit the quaint city of St Andrews. It offers plenty to see, including the first golf course in the world. If we are lucky we may also see Prince William, who studies at the prominent university here.
In the afternoon we will drive on to Nairn, another heaven for golf and history buffs. Once in the hotel, keep an eye out for the ghost of Charlie Chaplin; he used to come here frequently when he was alive.

Day 5
In the morning we will visit Culloden Battlefield, where Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Jacobite Army were finally defeated. Then, we will go on to the Highland city of Inverness, before taking an afternoon cruise on Loch Ness (look out for Nessie) and view the stunning Urquart Castle.

Day 6
Prepare for a stunning drive through the Highlands! Before arriving at the dramatic Eilean Donan Castle, we will have plenty of opportunity to stop and photograph the scenery (and sheep) along the way. In the afternoon we will drive further south through Fort William (we may catch a glimpse of Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest peak) until we reach the coastal city of Oban.

Day 7
We will drive north along the coast (past Castle Stalker) to catch the Jacobite Steam train, one of the greatest railway journeys of the world. It will take you through some of Britain's most spectacular scenery to the port of Mallaig. You will have a chance to stroll in the countryside, explore the village or eat some Highland lunch (Sheeps stomach, better known as Haggis, perhaps?), before we head back south along the coast. On the way to Oban we will drive through Glencoe and enjoy more magnificent Highland scenery.

Day 8
Today you will have the chance to sleep in, relax and digest all that you have seen so far. There is also plenty to explore in and around the pretty town of Oban. In the afternoon we will visit the local Distillery to sample some of the famous Scotch Whiskeys that are produced throughout Scotland.

Day 9
Today we will rise early and take the ferry to the Isle of Mull. From the boat we will be able to get a striking view of Duart Castle, one of the most photographed in Scotland. Once on Mull, we will drive down the picturesque country road to the west end to catch the passenger ferry to the tiny island of Iona. Upon arrival we will explore it's historical Abbey and enjoy its rugged beauty, before slowly making our way home in the afternoon.

Day 10
We will leave Oban behind to make our way east and eventually south to the town of Inveraray. One of Scotland's prettiest little towns, Inveraray has plenty to offer, not least of which is its beautiful fairytale castle. In the afternoon we will drive on to the famous Loch Lomond before finishing the day where we first started: Glasgow. In the evening we will have plenty of time to reflect and trade addresses over a farewell dinner at the hotel.

Day 11
Once you are packed and ready to go we will be happy to drive you to the airport.
