BOARD MEETINGS are held every third monday of every month, at the LDAA - EC office from 7 - 9 p.m.

SECOND ANUAL CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL Wine Tasting & Silent Auction - Join us for a decadent evening of chocolate desserts, sweets, & wine tasting by William Bincoletto on February 10, 2007 at 6:30 pm. PARENT ADVANTAGE WORKSHOP - Start off the New Year by becoming partners in the learning process. Come and learn strategies to help your child learn the smart way. Together, parents and children will learn a variety of strategies that have been proven successful in helping children become active and in dependant learners at home and at school. Participants will learn how to get higher test scores, spell words, more easily and improve writing skills. Help your child in grades 3 through 7 excel at: reading, writing, spelling, mathematics, exam preparations, and special projects.

Dr. Groce is a scholar of anthropology, and health, disability and ethics studies. She heads the Disability and Bioethics Advisory Group at Yale’s Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics and was recently the convener for Thematic Group on Disability for the United Nations Secretary General’s Study of Violence Against Children.

Videoconference Presentation: Raising Accountable Young People

In addition, Alberta Children’s Services is hosting its second videoconference presentation on Tuesday, January 30th from 6:30 to 8:30.
