LD RESOURCE LIBRARY

The LDAA-EC has a large resource library of materials related to learning disabilities. Our library holds hundreds of books, workbooks, audiotapes, and videotapes.

The library includes learning materials for both adults and children. There is even a small selection of materials in French.

Here are some things you will find in our library:

  • books
    • books on general learning strategies
    • books written about specific learning disabilities (hyperactivity, ADHD, ADD, etc.)
    • books on strengthening social skills, writing skills, and math skills
    • "read-along" taped books (book plus audiocassette)
  • interactive teaching tools and workbooks
  • videos
  • journals (magazines) - some of the journals we carry are:
    • Teaching Exceptional Children
    • Journal of Learning Disabilities
    • Dyslexia-An International Journal of Research and Practice
    • Current Practice Alerts
    • Learning Disabilities Research and Practice

We're always adding new materials: in the last quarter, we added 9 new books!

The resource library is open to the general public during office hours (call ahead for hours).

People with current LDAA-EC memberships may take materials out of the library for home use. There is no charge for this service.
