Psalms 111

1 Praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart,

in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) The works of the Lord are great,

sought out by all who have pleasure in them.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) His work is honorable and glorious,

and His righteousness endures forever.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) He has made His wonderful works to be remembered;

the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) He has given food to those who fear Him;

He will ever be mindful of His covenant.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) He has shown His people the power of His works,

that He may give them the inheritance of the nations.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) The works of His hands are true and just;

all His commands are sure.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) They stand forever and ever,

and are done in truth and uprightness.

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) He sent redemption to His people;

He has commanded His covenant forever; holy and fearful is His name.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;

all who live it have insight. His praise endures forever!



Psalm 111

Aleph

[1]Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart,

Holy and reverend is his name.

Psalms 112

1 Praise the Lord!

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,

who delights greatly in His commandments.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) His offspring shall be mighty in the land;

the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Wealth and riches shall be in his house,

and his righteousness endures forever.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) To the upright there arises light in the darkness;

he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) A good man shows generous favor, and lends;

he will guide his affairs with justice.

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Surely the righteous man shall not be moved;

the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) He shall not be afraid of evil tidings;

his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) His heart is established; he shall not be afraid,

until he sees triumph upon his enemies.

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) He has given away freely; he has given to the poor;

his righteousness endures forever;

his horn shall be exalted with honor.

10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) The wicked shall see it and be grieved;

he shall gnash his teeth and melt away;

the desire of the wicked shall perish.



Psalm 112

Aleph

[1] Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD,

Bet

That delighteth greatly in his commandments.

Gimel

[2] His seed shall be mighty upon earth:

Dalet

The generation of the upright shall be blessed.

He

[3] Wealth and riches shall be in his house:

And his righteousness endureth for ever.

Zain

[4] Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness:

Het

He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Tet

[5] A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:

Yod

He will guide his affairs with discretion.

Kaph

[6] Surely he shall not be moved for ever:

Lamed

The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

Mem

[7] He shall not be afraid of evil tidings:

Nun

His heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

Samek

[8] His heart is established, he shall not be afraid,

Until he see his desire upon his enemies.

[9] He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor;

His righteousness endureth for ever;

His horn shall be exalted with honour.

[10] The wicked shall see it, and be grieved;

He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away:

Taw

The desire of the wicked shall perish.



Psalms 113

1 Praise the Lord!

Praise, O you servants of the Lord,

praise the name of the Lord.

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Blessed be the name of the Lord

from this time forth and for evermore.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) From the rising of the sun to its going down,

the Lord's name is to be praised.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) The Lord is high above all nations,

and His glory above the heavens.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Who is like the Lord our God,

who dwells on high,

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) who looks down on the things

that are in heaven and on the earth?

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) He raises up the poor out of the dust

and lifts the needy out of the ash heap,

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) to make them sit with princes,

even with the princes of His people.

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) He gives the barren woman a dwelling,

making her the joyful mother of children.

Praise the Lord!



Psalm 113

[1] Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD,

Praise the name of the LORD.

[2] Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and for evermore.

[3] From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same

The LORD's name is to be praised.

[4] The LORD is high above all nations,

And his glory above the heavens.

[5] Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high,

[6] Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven,

and in the earth!

[7] He raiseth up the poor out of the dust,

And lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

[8] That he may set him with princes, Even with the princes of his people.

[9] He maketh the barren woman to keep house,

And to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.



Psalms 114

1 When Israel went out of Egypt,

the house of Jacob from a people of strange language,

2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Judah was His sanctuary, and Israel His dominion.

3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) The sea saw it and fled; the Jordan was driven back;

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) the mountains skipped like rams

and the hills like lambs.

5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) What alarmed you, O sea, that you fled,

O Jordan, that you turned back,

6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) O mountains, that you skipped like rams,

O hills, like lambs?

7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord,

at the presence of the God of Jacob

8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) who turned the rock into a pool of water,

the hard stone into a spring of waters.



Psalm 114

[1] When Israel went out of Egypt,

The house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

[2] Judah was his sanctuary, And Israel his dominion.

[3] The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.

[4] The mountains skipped like rams,

And the little hills like lambs.

[5] What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest?

Thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?

[6] Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams;

And ye little hills, like lambs?

[7] Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord,

At the presence of the God of Jacob;

[8] Which turned the rock into a standing water,

The flint into a fountain of waters.
