Day 72 of My 6th Bible Study Journey Part 4
6) This come from Praying for Muslims in Canada 2015 (Is there a 2021 edition?)
Saskatchewan
Quick facts on Muslims in Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan 2015 population 1125400
est Muslim Population 17279
CNMM Networks: Saskatoon
Saskatoon has seen quick growth in its Muslim population over the past
5 years, which maybe as high as 5000 today. Islamic leaders have
focused specifically on this city , having twice already sent cohorts
of about 70 families to start mosques. There are now 7 Islamic centres
of worship and an ISlamic madrassah (school) located right next to a
Christian school.
Of particular concern recently is the number of young adults who grew up
in evangelical churches and converted to Islam. Most of these are young
women whowere wooed by Muslim man and became emotionally bonded.
Both prior to and after marrying, these women are known to convert to ISlam.
Agree in prayer with us for:
- entire congregations and individual believers to catch God's heart
and passion for reaching Muslims in Saskatoon and the other growing
Muslim population centres of Saskatchewan.
- for the eyes and understanding of Canadian youth to be opened to the
spiritual reality of Islam, and not deceived nor manipulated into
converting to a religion which cannot offer assurance of salvation.
- for the few workers among Muslims now engaged there, and for many more
to be raised up into effective witness.
- for prayer and training events that are starting in Saskatoon
to spread and grow to other cities.

Pray for the Pashtuns of Pakistan
Omed is a Pashtun and, many years ago, came to Germany as a refugee.
He received a Bible in the refugee camp. Friendly Christians cared for
him. When he almost despaired from loneliness, a friendly employee
from the government office helped him move into a shared apartment
with a group of Christians.
Here, Omed received answers to his questions about faith and accepted
Jesus as Savior and Lord. The Bible became his joy and comfort in
increasingly difficult times. He enjoys sharing verses from the Bible
to encourage others and bring them joy.
Omed has been living back in his homeland of Pakistan for several
years now. There, he cannot proclaim his faith loudly. But he lives
his close relationship with Jesus and inspires friends and relatives
to reflect. In the village, they respect him as a friendly role model.
Once, he was beaten for his faith. "Wait!" he said to the person who
was beating him, "Let me explain what I believe. If you're right, hit
me. If I'm right, leave me alone." After seeing his boldness, his
attackers left him alone.
One day, a highly respected Muslim leader asked Omed, "Are you a
Christian?"
Omed didn't want to deny his faith, but he also knew how dangerous
such a confession was. So, instead of a direct confrontation, so he
replied, "Look at the Christians. Do you know any Muslim who lives
such a good life? No? I'm thinking about it, dear brother! And you
should too!"

Omed was grateful that he hadn't denied his Jesus, but he went home
sad anyhow. He has almost no spiritual fellowship because it would be
too dangerous for the Christian community and for him. But he remains
joyfully faithful to Jesus and proclaims him carefully and lovingly.
How to Pray
Pray for the more than 50 million Pashtuns worldwide, among whom
there are few followers of Jesus.
Pray for wisdom, courage, and God's protection for believers like
Omed.
Ask God for many joyful communities of Jesus followers to emerge
from amongst the Pashtun.
My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further
call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

13th Day of the Month
a) Pray that, with God's help, children and
young people will be able to journey with hope towards the destiny God has
for each of them
b) Pray for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador
I) Pray for the leaders of Newfoundland and Labrador, that God's Spirit
would influence then to act justly, serve with integrity
and honour high moral standards.
( 1 Tim 2:1 - 4
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications, prayers,
intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone,
2 (Ezr 6:10) for kings and for all who are in authority, that we may
lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty,
3(1Ti 1:1; Lk 1:47) for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God
our Savior,
4 (Eze 18:23; 18:32)who desires all men to be saved and to come
to the knowledge of the truth.
)
II) Pray for the churches of the province, that they would be lighthouses
beaming forth the illuminating truth of God's Word.
III) Pray that the Lord would use the Finding the Hope Campaign
and booklet to turn many hearts to Jesus
Eight) Day 19 - You can't cling to the past and run toward the future.
Scripture: Philippians 3:13–14
13 (Lk 9:62; Ps 45:10) Brothers, I do not count myself to have attained,
but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind
and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
14 (Heb 3:1; 1Pe 5:10) I press toward the goal to the prize of the high
calling of God in Christ Jesus.
[13] Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I
do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those
things which are before,
[14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in
Christ Jesus.
---
A few years ago, I heard a friend tell the story of Pepito, a little parakeet.
One day, while his owner was cleaning the cage with a vacuum, she went to
answer the phone and left the machine running. As a result, Pepito was
accidentally sucked in. Although he survived, his owner unknowingly exposed
him to more stress by bathing him in cold water and then trying to "revive"
him with hot air. My friend concluded that, from that day on, Pepito never
sang the same way again.
This story reminds us that painful experiences from the past can sometimes
affect our present and future. Many of us have faced loss, illness, betrayal,
or difficult circumstances that seem to leave a permanent mark on our lives.
However, as Christians, we have a different hope: our past does not have to
define us or limit what God wants to do in us.
The Apostle Paul teaches us in Philippians 3:13-14: "forgetting those things
which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in
Christ Jesus. "
Today, God invites us to leave behind pain, to forgive, to heal, and to look
forward with faith. Even if our wounds have been deep, we can trust that He
has a purpose for each of us. Just as Paul pressed on toward the goal without
getting stuck in the past, we too can live with joy, hope, and a renewed
heart, free in Jesus Christ.
---
Questions:
1. Are there experiences from your past that still keep you from forgiving,
healing, and moving forward in your spiritual life? How could you give them
to God to be healed?
2. How can you "forget what is behind" and focus your heart on the goal God
has for you today?
Prayer Point:
- Lord, help me to leave behind the hurts and mistakes of the past, to forgive
and heal, and to move forward in faith toward the life You have prepared for
me. Renew my heart and spirit so I can live with joy, hope, and freedom
in Jesus Christ.
Prayer Request:
- Join us today in prayer for our maintenance department. Give our team
willing and faithful hearts to serve with excellence and joy, understanding
that every task - no matter how small it may seem - is an act of worship to
You. Grant them unity, responsibility, and wisdom to care for Your house
with order and dedication, reflecting Your character in everything we do.
May every clean, safe, and well-cared-for space be a testimony to
the community - a place where people can encounter You in a welcoming
and dignified environment. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Conclusion:
Pray to the Lord and pray to purify your heart.
Pray to the Lord: "Heavenly Father, thank You for sending
Jesus to save our suffering world. Please help me to see those whom You might
have me encourage amid their struggles and pain."
Pray to the Lord and pray to klnow the Salvation in Jesus Christ is
accomplished and still working in you.
Pray to the Lord and pray to know the Lord's Word will not return void.
Pray to the Lord and pray to confess and repent your Sins fior Healing.
